Chapter 24
Chapter 24
After Becky stepped out of the Moolery family’s house, she took a taxi to her new house address.
It was located in the upscale villa area of Gereshk in Hugyani. It featured standalone units with private entrances and elevators that directly access the underground parking garage. The privacy level was very high, allowing for complete avoidance of interactions with other people.
As Becky made her way up from the parking garage and entered the elevator, she keyed in the password and went up to her floor. Upon opening the door to the balcony on the second floor for ventilation, she heard a voice coming from the neighboring yard.
“Oh. There’s someone new next door? I’ve been here for a while and haven’t seen anyone move in. Today is quite unusual.”
The cheerful voice of an elderly person resonated, causing Becky to smile as well.
“I just moved in today. I was staying with relatives before,” Becky replied.
The old man stood in the yard, with tall plants and a fence obstructing the view of his face, leaving only a glimpse of his gray hair.
The old man nodded upon hearing Becky’s response. “Alright. We’re neighbors from now on. It’s nice to meet you, Miss. Come visit my house sometime.”
ley entered her house to
After exchanging a few casual pleasantries, tidy up.
The house was regularly cleaned by a housekeeper, so Becky didn’t need to do much herself. She just needed to organize the clothes she brought back.
Just as Becky finished tidying up, she received a call from Salena.
“Are you busy? Why didn’t you answer my calls earlier?” Salena asked.
Then Becky found that Salena had called her twice before. And she explained, “I just moved out of the Moolery family’s house and was busy settling into my new home.”
Salena’s eyes lit up
when she heard what Becky said. “Oh. I completely forgot about it. Look at my memory. I almost forgot that you two got divorced. Moving out is great. Living there and constantly seeing Sigmund’s face is so unlucky.”
A smile appeared on Becky’s face. “Yes. It was quite unlucky.”
Being constantly woken up in the middle of the night, anyone would go crazy.
Salena continued enthusiastically, “Where are you now? How about I pick you up and we grab a meal together? Consider it a celebration of you escaping the clutches of Sigmund.”
“Sure,” Becky replied.

She provided her address, readily agreeing to the invitation.
The moment after the call ended, Becky sent the exact location to Salena once again.
Then Salena sent a message to Becky. I’ll be waiting for you in the parking lot.]
After sending the message, Salena checked the address.
Then she was momentarily stunned. It had to be said that Becky’s father had done well in this regard. Gereshk was a dream home for many people. Unfortunately, Becky’s father passed away too early. And it resulted in Becky spending these years in a state of frustration.
Then Becky took a shower and changed into a white chiffon waist–cinching dress.
Looking at her slender waist in the mirror, Becky thought about the baby inside her.
It had only been a month and she hadn’t started showing any signs of pregnancy yet. Moreover, she didn’t experience any pregnancy symptoms at the moment.
Sometimes she even doubted if she was really pregnant.
She had only two months to consider whether to keep the baby. And she needed to make a decision
soon.
As the elevator doors opened, Becky adjusted her trench coat and looked up to see an elderly person collapsing.
The old person had white hair and was wearing a navy blue suit, exuding an air of elegance.
However, he was now lying on the ground in a very distressed state. He was sweating profusely, breathing rapidly, and clutching his chest tightly. His knuckles turned white due to the force applied. And his whole body was trembling.
Seeing that, Becky’s expression changed. And she quickly walked towards the old person.
“Sir, are you okay?” Becky asked.
She reached out to check his pulse, observed his symptoms, and quickly reached a conclusion.
It was coronary heart disease.
Becky searched through the old person’s belongings, but she didn’t find any medication.
By that time, the old person was experiencing severe arrhythmia, insufficient blood supply to the brain, and fainting symptoms, with even more rapid breathing.
Becky’s expression turned grave as she quickly dialed 911. Then she supported him and placed him. in a supine position.
At that moment, an anxious voice came over. “Sir!”

The butler hurriedly walked over and asked, “What’s going on? Did he have an episode?” Becky replied, “It’s a coronary heart disease attack. Do you have any medication?”
“Yes!”

However, the young woman in front of him suddenly stood up. She calmly and composedly reached into his bag, which was full of medicines, and accurately took out the necessary ones. Then she poured out a few pills and gave them to the old person to take.
After that, Becky didn’t relax. She closely monitored the old person’s condition, in case he suddenly stopped breathing or had a cardiac arrest.
Shortly after, Salena arrived and was startled by the scene.
She
quickly got out of the car. But she didn’t dare to disturb Becky.
Seeing the worried and almost tearful butler beside her, Salena reassured him. She said, “Don’t worry. She’s a doctor. Everything will be fine.”
Hearing that, the butler thought inwardly, “It turns out that this woman is a doctor.
“No wonder she’s so calm.”
Then the butler breathed a sigh of relief. But he still felt anxious and self–blaming.
He had just gone upstairs to get a bag, and the driver was stuck in traffic. Who could have imagined that this would happen?
Without Becky, he would have been at a loss.
There was a hospital nearby, and the emergency medical service arrived quickly.
Finally, the old person was taken to the ambulance. And the butler repeatedly thanked Becky.
Becky smiled and said, “We’re neighbors. Don’t mention it.
