† It is worth mentioning that Salesla Day is one of many national holidays in the Ponyata calendar. A selection of festivities follow:

Landla Day — when the rent’s due
Mala Day — when we remember the sick and the suffering
San Day — day off for the beach
Anybo Day —a holiday enjoyed by all, even the humans
Jeopar Day — games playing day
Ran Day — a day for secret admirers to hand out notes and gifts
Moo Day — the last day of one’s twelfth year; a rite of passage on reaching one’s teens
Lar Day — a day for eating in excess, preceded by Gree Day
Ner Day — promoting technology education amongst the young
Shan Day — biggest drinking day of the year, followed by Unstea Day — though recently the more well-to-do favor Burgun Day, followed by Gid Day
Busybo Day — a day to check on the wellbeing of one’s neighbors
Subsi Day — for giving alms to the poor
Toa Day — for giving a gift to one’s boss
Custo Day — an at-home day for Glitterband convicts
Foolhar Day — set aside to play practical jokes on others
Broo Day — celebrates the first year after marriage
Baw Day — a rarely celebrated occasion these days, largely replace by Shan Day
