Sold to Mr. Arrogant

Chapter Mr. Siergo

After college and as planned, I headed to ChemiPharma, I asked the taxi driver to drive me through a lot of places making sure that no car is trailing me. I bet that Gerald was sincere when he said that he would not keep an eye on me which is good.

I was standing in front of the company that overwhelmed the whole street, it was too large that it covered the buildings across from it from Sun rays. I was wearing a light brown wig, a black dress, and sunglasses. I can't say that it is quite a disguise but at least if I manage to avoid CCTVs then no one would tell it is me.

I wanted to get some information; I headed to the staff room where cleaners gathered.

"I bet it was a tough day, guys," I initiated which attracted their attention, it was their meal break and I bet they will need the coffee I brought them.

I started giving them their coffee.

"Who are you?" a male cleaner wondered.

"My mom work here, she cleans the last floor," I said as I knew that the last floor is where the CEO is.

"What is her name?"

"She is new, Helen, does it ring any bell?" I asked them a leading question.

"

guess, I heard that name. You are quite nice, I am sure she is proud of you."

"I wish I get employed here, I want to work in such a big company at least once in my life." I lied.

"We wish you, luck sweetie..." one of the female workers stated.

"Thank you, I hope that Mr. Gerald is not as bad as rumors say,"

"Mr. Gerald? He is not the..." the young-looking girl was cut off when one of the elders glared her way as if he was instructing her to shut the fuck up.

"I know he isn't the CEO, I am his son's friend at college so I know,"

"Oh, you are Mr. Shawn's friend?" The elder asked.

"Yeah, we have several classes together as well, we spend some time with each other during break time."

"How does your mother work here as a cleaner when you are able to afford such an expensive college though?"

"My dad married mom out of love, she doesn't have a certificate and she refused to leave the job she had after marriage. She is quite self-dependent and prideful, ya see..."

"I want to depend on myself as well, I will try to get employed here without dad's help," I added.

"You are a hard worker like your mother, what a nice thing to do? Very nice, sweetie." one of them said as she patted on my back.

"The CEO is Mr. Siergo Montonio, he was Mr. Indigo's right hand. He is quite strict and he appreciates those who are bilingual since lately, they started dealing with several other countries so they need people eloquent in Germany, Chinese and French. I hope that helps you somehow." the elder started.

"That is cool, thank you very much." I smiled and took my leave.

I waited for Mr. Siergo to get out and I followed him. He went to a restaurant called Fish and Steak, it was a classy restaurant and I thanked God I had enough money on me.

I sat at the table behind them, he was eating with a subordinate of his or so I think. I tried to eavesdrop on their conversation as I waited for the steak I ordered.

"What do you think our company needs the most now?" Mr. Siergo asked.

"We need to grant the Chinese people's cooperation, they will aid our company..."

"What else?"

"If we merge the..."

"We should also focus on our partnership with LifeChemical,"

"That's right, we will gain a lot from this partnership, it will put us on equal grounds with OctoPharma."

OctoPharm is Gerald's company, is Mr. Gerald perhaps their rival?

The waiter brought me my meal and he asked whether I want wine or not, I declined and he took his leave. There was a small plate that contained a yellow liquid next to the meat's dish. I dipped the meat on the small plate and took a bite from it as if I was eating a burger.

"Ughh... This tastes like shit." I flinched which caused the knife to fall on the ground, I bent to grab it and my eyes fell on a pair of fancy shiny black shoes that stood by the knife.

"This isn't a sauce, it is a cleaning liquid, you dip your hand in it and not your food, little one." It was Mr. Siergo's voice. I looked up and could contemplate his features that I could not see from afar.

He is so handsome, a tall broad-shouldered mid-thirty gentleman with black straight silky hair and black eyes. The waiter grabbed the knife for me and put it on the table.

"Get her the same order and a new set," he ordered the waiter as he took a seat on the chair in front of me..

"No thanks, I don't need." I clarified.

"You look out of place, Kitten."

"Do you know me?" I asked confused by this behavior of his.

"No, but I guess you know me," he continued.

"I do not though,"

Silence took over the ambiance; he was staring sharply into my eyes. Judging from the confidence in his tone, he already knew I followed him here and sat beside him on purpose. "I have to go, I will pay as I cancel the second order. Thank you, sir." I declared as I stood up.

Two hands stressed on my shoulders forcing me to sit again, it was his subordinate who smiled at me while he pulled a seat next to me and sat on it.

"We have to talk, sweetie... You don't get to leave before I hear what you have to say," Mr. Siergo growled in a dark tone and an equal dark look. I think I got myself into trouble...☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
