Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!

Chapter 1171 The Soup For Sydney

"Really?" Julien fixed his eyes on his grandmother for a moment. He wondered if the Old Madam was telling the truth. However, since the Old Madam didn't want to tell him the truth, he didn't insist.

As long as Velma's purpose for visiting the Old Madam had nothing to do with him or Sydney, Julien was not interested.

"Syd," the Old Madam said as she suddenly thought of something and she turned to Sydney.

Sydney, who was sipping her tea, immediately looked up and responded, "What is it, Grandma?"

At the same time, Sydney tensed up inside. 'What is Grandma calling me for? Is she going to joke about Julien and me, too? I thought she would not joke about us.'

While Sydney was anxious, the Old Madam said, "You guys just met Velma. She didn't give you any trouble, did she?"

Hearing the Old Madam's question, Sydney's worries disappeared. She gave a sigh of relief and smiled. "No, she didn't give me any trouble. Julien is with me. He would defend me if Velma gave me trouble. But she didn't do anything, like she didn't see me at all. She left in a hurry after talking with Julien."

"OK, that's good." The Old Madam nodded reassuringly.

The Old Madam was happy. She guessed Velma had followed her advice.

Sydney patted Julien's shoulder. "Maybe she knew Julien would defend me, so she didn't do anything."

The Old Madam said with a smile, "Julien is your boyfriend. It's his duty to defend you. If he can't defend you, how can he be your boyfriend? Even if you don't break up with him, I would advise you to leave him. He doesn't deserve you."

Julien sighed in frustration, "Grandma, I'm your grandson. Don't you have any faith in me?"

"I'm just assuming," the Old Madam glanced at Julien.

Julien sighed and didn't say anything more.

Sydney had rarely seen Julien act so dejected. She was amused and couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh.

When Sydney smiled, Julien also smiled. His eyes were full of tenderness.

The Old Madam noticed the subtle game between the couple.

Seeing this couple love each other so much, the Old Madam was satisfied.

She had no more worries about Julien and Sydney's relationship.

She believed that even after her death, the two could spend the rest of their lives together.

"Madam," said Felicia as she returned with the servants carrying the food while the Old Madam watched the couple in a trance.

The Old Madam collected her thoughts and beckoned. "Come here."

Felicia nodded. She motioned the servants into the gazebo and placed the meal on the table.

The meal was hearty and smelled appetizing.

Sydney was hungry. Seeing the delicious food, she felt even hungrier and her stomach rumbled. Sydney was embarrassed. She blushed, hastily covered her stomach, and explained, "I..."

The Old Madam laughed, "Looks like Syd's hungry. Great! Lunch is ready. Let's eat!"

"Ms. Raines, I hope you like the dishes." Felicia handed Sydney her drink with a smile.

Sydney took the drink awkwardly and whispered, "Sorry, Grandma. This is so embarrassing. I didn't expect my stomach would rumble."

The Old Madam smiled and waved her hand. "Don't be embarrassed. There's nothing to be embarrassed about. You're hungry. Let's eat. Julien, pass the steak to Syd."

"Sure." Julien placed the steak on Sydney's plate and said gently, "Try it."

"OK," Sydney nodded, picked up her fork, and began to eat.

Julien was hungry, too. He also picked up his fork, and began to eat.

The Old Madam and Felicia sat across the table. They smiled as they watched the couple eat, occasionally passing them food and telling them to eat more.

The two elderly women were so caring that Sydney and Julien couldn't refuse the food they passed.

They would accept anything the two elderly women passed them.

After a while, Sydney suddenly thought of something. She looked up at the Old Madam and asked, "Grandmother, why don't you eat?"

The Old Madam shook her head, "I had breakfast. Lunch is still too early for me. You guys did not have breakfast, so the meal is for you. I'll just watch you guys eat."

"Ms. Raines, the Old Madam always has meals at the same time. It's good for her health. If it's not meal time, Madam doesn't eat." Felicia explained.

Sydney nodded in understanding.

She had wanted to invite the Old Madam to eat with them.

Now she understood that it wasn't the Old Madam's meal time, so she didn't insist.

She didn't want to break the Old Madam's routine.

Then Sydney stopped talking. The couple ate their brunch quietly.

After they finished eating, the servants took away the food and utensils.

Then Sydney noticed Felicia taking a tray from a servant.

There were two bowls on the tray. Sydney couldn't see what was in the bowls, but she guessed it was soup because she could see the steam and smell the delicious flavor.

It wasn't until Felicia put the tray on the table that Sydney could see the contents of the bowl.

Sure enough, they were nutritious soup.

In one bowl, there was a chicken leg and other nutritious ingredients. In the other one, the soup was dark and didn't smell good. Syndey guessed that it was a nutritious soup, too. The soup gave off a strange odor. Sydney wondered what it was made of.

She assumed the two bowls of soup were for the Old Madam and Felicia.

Elderly people should drink more nutritious soup. It was good for their health.

Not only Sydney, but also Julien thought the soup was for his grandmother and Felicia. Neither of them thought that the two bowls of soup were for them.

When Felicia put the two bowls in front of Julien and Sydney, Julien realized that the soup was for them.

But Julien wondered why the two bowls of soup were different.

The soup with the chicken leg and various ingredients was for Sydney.

The dark soup was for Julien. Smelling strange, Julien wondered what it was made of.

Julien showed a sullen face. "Why is our soup different? Why do I have to drink this strange soup?'

Sydney was dumbfounded, too. After a while, she came back to her senses and looked at the Old Madam and Felicia. "Is this for us?"

The Old Madam and Felicia smiled and nodded.

"Yes, Ms. Raines. These two bowls of soup were made especially for you and Mr. Flint." Felicia answered.

The corner of Sydney's mouth twitched. "Thank you, Grandmother, Felicia. I thought the soups were for you guys. I didn't think they were for us. But we just had brunch. I'm too full."

Sydney had just eaten a lot. She couldn't drink the soup. Not to mention the chicken in the soup.

"It's okay. You can drink it later." The Old Madam said as she waved her hand.

Sydney gave an awkward smile, "Grandma, do we have to drink it?"
