Chapter 1164 Despised Velma
At Old Madam's words, Felicia stopped and laughed softly, "Madam, I was so stupid. I forgot that Mr. Flint and Ms. Raines slept together last night. They must have been tired, hence they are still sleeping." "I guess so. Don't disturb them, "the Old Madam said.
Felicia sighed, "Madam, but you had expected to have breakfast with Mr. Flint and Ms. Raaines..."
"Never mind," the Old Madam waved her hand. "While they can't accompany me to breakfast, they could have lunch with me. If they had gotten up early, they would leave after breakfast. But they are still sleeping, so they could stay with me until noon and have lunch with me."
Felicia smiled, "Madam, you are wise."
"Aren't I?" The Old Madam lifted her chin proudly.
Felicia was relieved when she saw that the Old Madam was so happy and wasn't upset that Julien and Sydney had missed breakfast with her.
"Well, Felicia, let's leave them alone. Come here, let's eat." The Old Madam said as she patted the chair next to her.
Felicia let out a sigh and walked over to the chair next to the Old Madam.
These two elderly women were more than simply the master and the servant. They were best friends and family. They always ate together. Felicia followed the proposal instead of refusing the Old Madam.
The two elderly women started eating breakfast while they chatted. Julien and Sydney were still in bed cuddling and sleeping. Sydney was exhausted last night, so she was still sleeping at that hour in the morning.
Julien slept late last night, so he was also asleep.
They would probably sleep until noon.
After breakfast, Felicia and the Old Madam went for a walk in the garden.
At about nine thirty, Felicia suggested to the Old Madam, "Madam, should I ask the cook to make some nutritious soup for Mr. Flint?"
"Why?" The Old Madam raised an eyebrow.
Felicia explained, "Mr. Julien and Ms. Raines haven't wake up at this late hour. I guess they must have been tired last night. Even though they're young, I'm worried about their health, so I think I should prepare some nutritious soup for Mr. Flint."
The Old Madam nodded. "You are considerate. Julien is thirty. He is not so young. He should have some nutritious soup to make sure Sydney can have a happy life."
The corner of Felicia's mouth twitched.
'Why is Madam only thinking about Ms. Raines? Doesn't she care about Mr. Flint's happiness? If a man loses his energy, it's fatal. Men would become introverted and weird....'
Although Felicia thought this in her mind, she didn't say it. She just nodded. "Then I'll have the cook make two bowls of soup, one for Mr. Flint and the other for Ms. Raines. They're too young to know restraint. We should look out for them."
"You have a point. If they are healthy, I will have grandchildren soon." The Old Madam laughed softly.
Felicia smiled and nodded, but then she thought of something and sighed regretfully, "It's a shame Ms. Raines had a miscarriage, or she would have given birth to the baby in around three months."
The smile on the Old Madam's face dissipated when she heard Felicia's words. She sighed, "Too bad. Julien was still under hypnosis at that time. He didn't know that the woman he really loved was Syd. Syd was so disappointed in Julien at that time. She stopped loving Julien. Although she was pregnant with Julien's baby, how could she keep that baby?"
The Old Madam didn't know that Sydney miscarried because Cayden poisoned her.
She thought Sydney got an abortion on her own.
She didn't blame Sydney but understood Sydney's choice.
But still, the Old Madam felt it was such a pity.
If the baby had been born, she would have seen Julien's baby.
When she saw her dead husband in heaven, she could tell him what their grandson looked like.
However, that child did not come to the world.
The Old Madam wondered if she would ever see her grandchild before she died.
"Lyra was such a bad girl. Without her, there would have been no misunderstanding between Mr. Flint and Ms. Raines. Maybe they will have several children now." Felicia complained. The Old Madam patted Felicia's hand and gave a wry smile. "Alright. Let's not talk about it. Tell the cook to make soup for Julien and Syd. When they wake up, they can have the soup."
"I'm going to tell the cook right now. Madam, wait here for me for a while. I'll be right back." Felicia said.
The Old Madam waved her hand. "Go ahead. This is my home. You don't need to worry about me."
"I'm not worried. I just..."
'I'm worried about your poor health. What if you suddenly fall down while I'm gone?' Felicia didn't say those words out.
She didn't want to upset the Old Madam.
But the Old Madam had spent decades with Felicia. She could guess Felicia's thoughts from her eyes.
Even if Felicia didn't say it out, the Old Madam knew what was on Felicia's mind. The Old Madam said, "Alright. Go tell the cook."
Felicia looked at the Old Madam with concern for a moment. Finally, she nodded and went to the kitchen.
Felicia walked fast. Later, she even trotted. The Old Madam showed a bitter smile at Felicia's back.
'Felicia...'
"Madam. "While the Old Madam was watching Felicia, another maid came over.
The Old Madam turned her head and asked, "What's up?"
"Madam, Mrs. Flint is here." The maid stopped outside the gazebo and reported.
The Old Madam frowned. "What is she doing here?"
The maid shook her head. "Mrs. Flint didn't tell me, but she said she came to see you. It seems she wants to talk to you."
The Old Madam snorted. "Okay. Lead her here."
"Yes." The maid turned to receive Velma.
The Old Madam got into a sulky mood.
Velma was the woman the Old Madam hated the most. She wouldn't even talk to the woman.
She actually despised Velma.
Velma was the Old Madam's daughter-in-law after all. And Velma didn't come between Julien's parents. The Old Madam despised Velma because the woman was vulgar, stupid, and a snob.
When Velma married Julien's father, the Old Madam wanted to train her and turn her into an elegant woman.
The Old Madam was seldom thwarted by any difficulty, but she failed in her attempt to reform Velma.
It was really hard to change Velma.
The woman was not only vulgar but also very stupid.
The Old Madam hired many teachers to reform Velma and change her bad habits.
However, the teachers did not change Velma at all, and the Old Madam finally gave up on reforming Velma.
