Chapter 36
“Mia, is Rina not at home?” Kara asked curiously.
Mia’s tightly knitted brows never relaxed. “Where could Rina have gone if she’s not at home?”
Kara tilted her head and thought for a moment, suddenly coming up with an idea. She exclaimed excitedly, “I know, maybe Rina went to her grandmother’s house!”
“Let’s go and check.” Mia pulled Kara and they left.
Regardless of whether Rina was in the Logan Family Manor or not, they had to go and see.
That phone call from Rina clearly indicated that something had happened.
For both Mia and Kara, although they currently disliked their own fathers, they had never felt that way towards Rina. In fact, they had already treated Rina as sister.
“Driver, take us to the Logan Family Manor.”
Although Kara knew about the Logan Family Manor, she didn’t know how to get
there.
So the two of them hailed a taxi.
The Logan Family was so famous in Bomsville that the Logan Family Manor naturally wasn’t unfamiliar to people.
Soon, they arrived at the Logan Family Manor.
Mia paid for the taxi using his wristwatch then he and Kara got out of the car.
Sally, who was busy working, suddenly received a transaction record from the family card.
“Thirty–two dollars and fifty cents? Did those two little ones sneak out again?”
Sally dialed the phone.
“Mama!”
“Mia, what are you two up to?”
“We’re playing at the neighborhood playground. And Kara was thirsty, so I bought her some water and snacks.”
“Okay, just play, but make sure Kara eats fewer snacks.”
“Okay, Mama, I know.”
After hanging up the phone, Kara stared angrily at Mia with her hands on her hips. “Why do you always make me take the blame?”
“Well, if I don’t eat snacks either, Mama won’t believe me,” Mia innocently said.
“That’s true,” Kara nodded thoughtfully, and then, as if she had figured something out, she angrily said, “No, don’t you know? Say that you bought toys.”
“Okay, next time I’ll say I bought toys,” Mia quickly agreed.
Now Kara was satisfied.
The two of them looked at the grand entrance of the Logan Family Manor, their expressions becoming serious like little adults.
“Mia, wait for me outside. I’ll go in and take a look. I look just like Rina, so even if I’m discovered, it’ll be fine.”
“Okay, be careful.”
“Don’t worry. If anything happens, I’ll call you.”
“Okay!” Mia furrowed his little brows and watched Kara leave.
Kara walked straight through the main gate. She wasn’t familiar with this place and didn’t know where the back entrance was, so she could only go through the front door.
As the security guard at the gate watched Kara enter, although he was puzzled, he didn’t stop her.
Kara walked into the house, and the living room was quiet. She didn’t see Rina’s mean mommy or grandmother.

“Ms. Rina, why…why did you come downstairs?”
Kara, who was supposed to go upstairs, froze in her tracks. She looked at the unfamiliar maid in front of her and didn’t know what to say for a moment.
“Ms. Rina, are you looking for Madam and Ms. Brown?”
Kara’s eyes darted around, and she nodded.

“Madam and Ms. Brown went shopping. Is there something I can help you with?”
Went shopping?
Kara let out a sigh of relief and ignored the maid. She turned around and walked upstairs.
The maid watched Kara’s strange behavior with puzzlement, unable to figure it out.
