Seven Years of Marriage with Jake

Chapter 11

Love Story 2- Chapter 2 I suddenly woke up, realizing I had fallen asleep on the couch.

Looking at the clock on the wall, it was already 3:30 AM.

Ethan hadn't come home.

I had safely put away the lottery ticket. Naturally, in this life, I wouldn't tell him about the win.

We owned a car detailing shop, which he usually managed, just a twenty-minute drive from home.

In my previous life, after I called him with the good news, it took him an hour and a half to get home.

At that time, I was so immersed in the enormous joy of winning that I didn't notice.

"Honey, you're back! Look, I won the lottery! The jackpot! 50 million! We're rich!"

I excitedly showed Ethan the lottery ticket and the winning numbers on my phone.

Ethan checked several times, then picked me up and spun me around, "Honey, we're really rich now, you're amazing!"

I was too excited to sleep, wanting to claim the prize immediately.

Ethan persuaded me to drive back and bring my parents over, so they could witness this lucky moment together.

Of course, I agreed.

My parents had experienced poverty in their youth and always hoped I would be successful.

This would be my rare moment of glory.

Little did I know, our next meeting would be our eternal parting.
