Seduced by My Childhood Sweetheart’s Brother

Chapter 642

"Say yes, please, Colin. I'm begging you."

Her words were genuine yet desperate. Indeed, the first to fall in love was often the one who was hurt the most in a relationship. But that didn't mean she deserved the right to wreck someone's relationship. Love only worked if both parties committed to it.

I was once desperate like her too. All I ever wanted was for Felix to notice me, to share his life with me. But life taught me that settling for less wouldn't necessarily bring about a good ending or payoff. Felix was an example.

What about Colin, then? He had charmed many other women. Would he be the death or boon of Jasmine? A man would take pity on her when he saw how desperate she was. Colin wasn't an unfeeling man. Could he always resist her? Those messages managed to dampen my cheery mood.

Had Jasmine only loved him from afar, as a woman, I would have empathized or even pitied her. But she was willing to go to extreme lengths to achieve her goal. She said she didn't want anything else, but that was a lie. She said she just wanted someone to celebrate her birthday, but I would never believe that.

What would Colin say when faced with desperate messages from another woman? When I thought about how another woman was constantly pining over my boyfriend, I felt deeply upset. But this was Colin's private matter. He needed to end it himself.

I would hate to see them hang out alone. But if Colin chose to do that, I'd respect his decision. I trusted him more than I trusted myself. I knew he wouldn't let me down.

Queenie noticed that I was distraught and dashed out of the kitchen. She read the content on the phone and immediately barked, "Jesus! What's wrong with this bitch? She's trying to guilt-trip Colin into seeing her. What now? If he doesn't come, he's an ungrateful man?"

Then, she pulled me into her embrace and patted my head. "Don't worry, Lulu. Bitches like her will be punished one day. Have faith in Colin. He's not going to make such an obvious mistake.

Andrew heard the commotion and came out of the kitchen too. Curious, he read the messages and shook his head disapprovingly and with disappointment. "She's a bastard child, alright. That's all she can do." "Bastard child?" Queenie and I were confused. Did anyone ever use that term anymore?

"I did some investigation. Jasmine's mother was a classmate of the heir of the Taylor family. She gave birth to Jasmine before she graduated from university. Her mother thought that she would become rich and successful.

"But the Taylors looked down on her status. When they learned about her and Jasmine's existence, they found a suitor for the heir within a month and forced them to get married. Jasmine's mother carried her in her arms and confronted the Taylors but was kicked out.

"It was a huge scandal, and the grandmother of the Taylor family began to do Jasmine and her mother in. She only dropped it after the heir begged for mercy. However, the grandmother said that she couldn't care less if Jasmine took their last name-she would never be part of the Taylor family.

"Therefore, Jasmine is the bastard child of the Taylor family."
