Chapter Return 7
“That’s Colin Rogers”
Selena POV
Jasper and I had just exited the club, when he realized he left his car keys inside. I told him I’d wait for him there, while he went to retrieve them. As 1 waited, someone yanked my arm. I spun around to face my assailant, only to it was the same man from earlier, his eyes ablaze with anger. I stared at him in shock, wondering what the hell
he wanted.
“I don’t care why you’ve been acting like this, Selena,” he barked. “But you’re leaving with me right now.”
He gripped my arm tightly, pulling me closer as he towered over me. “Aren’t you listening?” he spat.
I felt so helpless, my body still weak from lack of activity during my month in the hospital, and this man wasn’t giving me any breathing space.
With a firm grasp, he dragged me with him. “Let me go!” I pleaded, attempting to break free from his iron grip.
However, his hold remained strong. “I said follow me! he yelled.
I continued to struggle against him, but my efforts were futile. Desperately, I glanced back at the club, longing for help as he dragged me away.
“My car is parked a distance from here,” he said. “You don’t need to fight me. Just come with me.
Η
I became dizzy, and my vision blurred. Energy drained from my body, making it feel like it was failing me.
He started talked again. “When I arrived here, the club’s parking lot was full. It seems you became quite a celebrity in the last month. Well, good for you. But we need to head home,” he said in an unnervingly familiar
fashion.
“Let me go!” I managed to muster with what little strength I left. But his grasp remained firm. Each step felt like a struggle as he pulled me along, despite my pleas.
Summoning all the courage I could, I edged closer and sank my teeth into his hand fiercely.
The man cried out in pain, releasing his grip on me. Seizing the opportunity, I made a desperate attempt to flee. But before I could gain any distance, he grabbed me by the collar, halting my escape.
“Don’t make me lay my hands on you, Selena,” he shouted. “I’m trying to control myself. We need to go home, and I need my game project file too.”
My strength ebbed, and I could no longer continue. My legs gave out, and I collapsed to the ground, utterly- drained and unable to stand.
“Get up!” he barked impatiently as he reached down to pull me back up.
Before he could lift me from the ground, a sudden flash of car lights shined on us. “This is the police,” a voice said, booming from the vehicle’s loudspeaker.
“Crap!” the man cursed under his breath.
Relief filled me as the officers sprang into action, rushing toward us.

her up.
Summoning the last of my strength, I found my voice and spoke up boldly. “That’s a lie! He kidnapped me. I don’t- know him!”
Without hesitation, the other police officer moved to apprehend the man. Meanwhile, his companion extended a helping hand to lift me from the ground.
“We’ll need to head to the station,” one of the officers declared.
The police handcuffed the man as he protested, continually claiming I was his fiancé. The police asked me once more if I knew him, and I confirmed I didn’t. One officer then escorted the man into the police car, while the other gently assisted me. A few moments later, the vehicle roared to life, its siren walling as we sped toward the station.
Upon arrival at the police station, they promptly led the man to a cell. “I’m not a kidnapper!” he insisted as they took him away. “She’s my fiancée! My name is Colin Rogers.”
“Colin?” I whispered as I recalled the name Mom and Lisa had mentioned. But it couldn’t be. If he was truly my fiancé, why would he have resorted to such forceful actions? Was he my fiancé or an imposter taking advantage of my memory loss?
“You can call someone to pick you up now,” the police officer advised as I regained my strength. I reached for my bag, retrieved my phone, and dialed Lisa’s number.
“Selena, where are you?” she asked as soon as she picked up, worry evident in her voice. “Jasper is losing his mind.”
I explained the situation, and she said she’d be there in minutes. While I waited, I sat, looking Colin through his
cell’s bars.
“Selena,” he said, “I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but tell them the truth! Tell them I’m your fiancé!”
I to remain steadfast in my silence and ignored his demands. Mere moments later, Lisa and Jasper burst into the police station.
Jasper rushed to my side and hugged me. “Selena, are you all right?” he asked searching my eyes.
“Colin, how dare you?” Lisa yelled in anger, pointing at the man in the cell.
So he was truly Colin.
“Why can’t you just let her go,” Lisa asked. “She doesn’t want you. So just let her go!”
Colin looked at her in defiance. “And If I say no, what will happen?
“You’ll rot in hell!” she retorted.
A police officer asked Lisa, “Is he really her fiancé?”
“Never, he’s a Stalker!”
“I’m not a stalker, you bitch!” Colin yelled.
We left Colin behind in the cold cell after that. Once we arrived home and Jasper departed, I asked Lisa if that was really my fiancé we just left back at the jail.
Lisa’s eyes met mine as she confirmed my worst fears. Yes, that’s Colin Rogers.”
