Rejection

A broken heart, a sick mind nobody could cure

It was once full and pure

Emotions dripping, one of every kind

But it couldn't see the resentment, it was blind

And so it happened

All over again

The old wounds still fresh

Memories burned

To ash and kept in a stash

It was a lesson never learned

So it happened again

But it kept trying to mend

What was never there

But an empty place, you could just stare.
