Chapter 84
[Third Person's POV]
In the southwest part of the magic realm, a group of five werewolves runs across the Gandhi Mountain while being chased out by a group of lions. They didn’t know that they stepped into the family lion's den. Liza was so scared out of her wits. She blamed herself for putting their lives in danger. Her heart pounded so fast, it seemed like her heart would leap out of her chest. When they are looking for a cave for the possible hide-out of their enemies, they run into the group of wild lions. And now, they don't know if they could come back to their base in one piece.
However, they stopped dead in their tracks when a group of lions surrounded them. The lions snarled at them, ready to eat them alive. It scared them out of their wits, but they didn't have a choice but to fight.
Just as the lions were about to attack, a growled of a dragon startled them. When they look up, a gigantic dragon breathes fire towards the lions. Because of it, the lions ran away and disappeared into the forest. The five werewolves sighed in relief, and they quickly transformed back into their human form.
“Liza! Are you okay?" Cybelle asked as soon as the dragon, Tyrus, landed. She jumped down, followed by the others, and looked at the five werewolves, who were still shaking in fear.
Liza looked at Cybelle gratefully. “Thank you, Cy. I thought we were going to die,” she said while sighing.
“Luckily, we saw the commotion, or else those wild creatures eat you alive,” Cybelle said and hugged Liza
"What are you guys doing here, anyway?" Xandra asked while looking at Liza.
"Hmm, we are trying to find a cave for a possible hide-out of our enemy, but we ran to the wild lions instead, and we've been chasing out,” Liza said and trembled at the thought.
“You could've all died. Remember that this world is new and expect more wild animals in the forest, especially this mountain, where wild animals live. For now, you should go back to your base and avoid this mountain as far as possible.” Layla said and the five werewolves looked down, embarrassed because they didn’t know about this mountain.
“Come on, we will send you all back to your base,” Cybelle said and they nodded.
Liza held Cybelle’s hand and said, “Can I go with you?”
Cybelle looked at her half-sister intently and sighed. “Okay, but I'll ask Xandra's permission first,” she said and Liza nodded.
“She can go with us,” Xandra said when she heard Liza's request.
“Thank you, Xandra,” Liza said and gave Xandra a grateful smile. Xandra just nodded and took Cybelle’s hand from Liza and walked towards the dragon, where the other's already waiting.
Liza just followed behind them and couldn't help but felt envy. She still hasn't found her mate yet, and Azrael is still the only one in her heart. She may have been a bitch in the past, but her love for Azrael was real. Regrets filled her heart, but she could only dream of being with Azrael.
"Hey," she looked up, only to find Michelle holding out her hand for her. She stared at the beautiful girl without blinking.
Michelle creased her forehead and sighed. “What's wrong with Liza? she thought and almost rolled her eyes.
"Are you just going to stare at me? We don't have the entire time in the world.” Michelle said and winked at Liza playfully.
Liza's cheeks flushed in embarrassment and took Michelle's hands subconsciously. Before she knew it, she was sitting beside Michelle and the others. “Hold on tight,” Michelle whispered in her ear and it sent goosebumps all over her body, which she finds weird. She ignored it and did what Michelle said.
The ride towards their base didn't take long. The four werewolves jumped down and before they could take off in the air, Layla went towards Stephen to ask for the progress of the werewolves’ base.
“So, how's everything going here?” Layla asked while looking around the base.
“It's fine. Everyone was willing to help whatever the base needed so there's no problem.” Stephen replied with a smile. He wanted to come with Layla and the others, but he can't leave his responsibility to his people.
“That's good to hear. I'll see you soon, Stephen.” Layla said.
“I'll be waiting for your return. Please be safe.” Stephen said and gave Layla a hug and kissed her lips. Layla smiled after they pulled away and then waved goodbye to Stephen.
When Layla joined the others again, she saw her sister Michelle pouting. “What's wrong?” she asked. Michelle groaned. “Oh please, a single woman like me was so envious right now. I wish I had someone to kiss me like that.”
Everyone laughed at Michelle. “Why don't you find a lover then?” Lucia teases while Cyn was still laughing.
"Oh wow, I hope it's that easy,” Michelle said while rolling her eyes.
"Oh please, you are not the only single woman here.” Liza blurted out, and everyone looked at her. “Oh crap. Did I just blurted it out?’ Liza thought and looked at everyone, embarrassed.
"Why don't you two give it a try?” Xandra said, and that made the two single women almost choke. “That's a good idea!” Cybelle said while chuckling.
Michelle looked at Liza intently. She admits that the girl is pretty.
“Heck, no! I'm not into girls!” Liza denied, a little embarrassed. Michelle smirked and leaned closer to Liza's face. Liza gulped, and her eyes widened. “Are you sure? Oh honey, don't talk like you know the future. What if one day, you ended up falling for a girl?” Liza was at a loss for words that made Michelle grinned.
Xandra cleared her throat and interrupted. “Okay, that's enough. Let's go to our next destination now.”
Meanwhile, in the northwest part of the magic realm, the group of Sabrina, Damona and Demonise together with their mates that were riding Kyrios, are stuck in the middle of a wide clearing while surrounded by a lot of anacondas.
"How can we take the orbs?” Vorges asked after seeing the orbs on the giant snake's forehead. "Wait—it's not the orbs. It's my infinite diamond! That snake might use fire!” Demonise said while frowning.
“That's bad—" Sabrina said. They almost jumped in fright when all the anacondas hissed at them, ready to eat them alive.
Kyrios growled loudly, and the anacondas hissed loudly too. The anaconda'’s sharp eyes give them chills all over their body.
"Echo, what are you doing!?” Demonise was stunned when Echo stepped forward and released a powerful aura.
"Relax, leave them to me.” Echo said confidently. He closed his eyes and concentrated on his power. Before the anaconda could attack them, gigantic vines appeared out of nowhere and trapped the anacondas. Everyone sighed in relief. Demonise smiled and said, “That was amazing!”
“It's so easy!” Echo said, but his vision suddenly turned black and he almost fell down. Luckily, Demonise caught him. “Are you okay?!” Demonise asked in worry.
Echo groaned because he used a massive amount of energy to trap the anacondas. Demonise sighed. “You shouldn't wear yourself out that much.”
“I have no choice or else, they will eat us alive.” Echo said and hugged Demonise tightly. She sighed and stared at Echo's exhausted face. She put him down beside Kyrios and then looked at the others fighting the anacondas, who were wiggling from the vines.
Demonise narrowed her eyes while trying to call her infinite diamond that was buried at the forehead of the giant snake. The diamond shone brightly as a response and she smirked. While the others are busy killing the trap anacondas, she takes it as a chance to get her infinite diamond. Unfortunately, the giant snake breathed fire and burned the vines to free itself.
She almost caught fire, but with her fast reflexes, she’s able to avoid it in a quick movement.
"Damn it!" she cursed under her breath. When she was about to attack the snake, it shone brightly and she was almost blinded by the light. As the light subsided, a gasp let out in everyone's mouth. The snake that had the infinite diamond just transformed into a human form.
"What the hell?!” everyone uttered in disbelief. The three men quickly turned around because the snake woman was naked.
The snake in human form hissed at them, and it looked funny.
"Who are you?” Demonise asked the snake that transforms into a woman. But she received a hiss response. And she realized the snake couldn't talk at all. That snake kept looking and touching her body uncomfortably while hissing. The other anacondas, who were still trapped, hissed loudly while looking at the woman in front of them.
Demonise guessed that they were communicating with each other. It was a family of anacondas, after all.
“Do you think the infinite diamond gives the giant snake the power to shift into a human form?” Damona said.
Demonise was lost deep in thoughts. It is possible for the infinite diamond to give the power to transform if the desire is too strong. Does it mean that the snake wishes to transform into a human upon seeing them?
“That's possible.” She said. Then she stared at the snake-woman in front of her. She strolled towards the woman while it was busy looking at her body. The woman hissed when she was a meter apart. Demonise put her hands up in the air and stared at the woman. “Look, I will not hurt you. I just want that diamond in your forehead,” she said, but the woman was just watching her speak. "F-Fore..he..ad...” the snake woman imitates her. Her eyes widened when the snake woman learned to speak just by watching her lips moving.
"You can speak!” she blurted out in surprise.
Demonise held out her hand and the snake woman imitated her again. She grinned and grabbed that opportunity to touch the snake woman's forehead. The snake woman hissed, but it's too late because the infinite diamond shone brightly upon contact with her hand.
A minute later, the infinite diamond floated in her palm and entered her body. She suddenly felt complete. When the light subsided, her eyes widened when the snake woman was lying on the ground unconscious. Her forehead creased in confusion because the snake woman didn't transform back into its original form
Demonise touched the woman's neck and felt its pulse. To her surprise, it's alive. When she looked at the other snake, they were all dead.
“She didn't transform back into her original form?” Sabrina asked, brows furrowed together.
“I think it's permanent. Her desire to be a human was too strong. That's why the infinite diamond granted it.” Demonise answered. Then she uses her infinite power to make clothes for the naked snake woman.
Seeing the snake woman covered with clothes, the three men walked towards their mates.
“What will we do to her?” Helix asked.
"We have to bring her along.” Demonise said.
“No way!" Echo contradicts. Demonise and Damona glared at him.
"Yeah. We have to bring her along. We can't leave her alone here. It's too dangerous.” Vorges said. “But she’s a snake.” Echo uttered.
“Can't you see she didn't transform back?” Demonise rolled her eyes and carried the unconscious snake woman. “Let's go to our next destination,” she said and Echo couldn't argue anymore.
But when they looked around, they didn't see Kyrios. Instead, they saw a tall, handsome man with a dark complexion. Their jaws dropped in awe. Sabrina is the first one to recover. “Who are you?” she blurted out.
The handsome man smiled, “I'm Kyrios.”
They gasped while staring at the handsome man. “You're kidding? Are you really Kyrios, the dragon? Alice's dragon?” Damona asked and narrowed her eyes.
The handsome man chuckled. “Yes. The one and only, Kyrios.”
They couldn't believe what happened to Kyrios. Does that gigantic dragon just transform into a handsome man? What's going on?
"Oh my god, you can transform too?” Damona uttered in disbelief.
"Yes. I just wanted to show you because you seem interested when that snake transforms.” Kyrios said while smiling.
“You naughty dragon. Can you transform now? We have to go to our next destination.” Damona said.
Kyrios scratched his nape with a troubled grin. “The thing is... I can’t transform back into my dragon form for at least 24 hours. I'm sorry I forgot about it.”
"What?!" they groaned.
“Don't tell me we have to walk?!” Damona whined.
"Ugh. No! We'll stay here until Kyrios can transform back. Maybe it's time to rest.” Demonise said and lay the unconscious snake woman in the grass.
Everyone looked at the dead body of anacondas. They only think the same—food. But when they looked at the unconscious snake woman, they felt guilty and sighed.
“All right. Maybe I'll just burn their dead bodies.” Demonise uttered. The other reluctantly nodded and swallowed. If not for the snake woman, they probably would have eaten it.
Demonise didn't waste any time and burned all the dead bodies of anacondas until they turned to dust.
"I felt guilty. We just killed her brothers and sisters.” Sabrina uttered while looking at the snake woman with guilt.
"We can't turn back time. All we need to do is to explain to her why we did that.” Vorges said and everyone agreed.
"Why hasn't she woken up yet?” Echo asked.
“It's probably because of the shock waves that entered her body when I took the infinite diamond.” Demonise answered. Everyone fell silent and lost deep in thoughts.
A minute later, Vorges, Helix, Echo, and Kyrios went to the forest to find any animals or fruit to eat. When they got back, each one brought edible food and fruits. Kyrios found two rabbits and Demonise quickly roasted them using her fire. They were satiating their hunger for a few hours, and now they're glad they could eat and satisfy their empty stomach.
After two hours, the snake woman woke up in a daze and hissed upon seeing the people surrounding her.
"Hey, relax...” Demonise uttered and smile. The snake woman looked intently at Demonise’s lips and imitated Demonise’s action again and smiled, too.
Everyone was at a loss for words upon seeing how the snake woman imitates Demonise. When the snake woman didn't flinch, Demonise, and the others taught her how to speak and walk properly. Because of the snake woman, 24 hours of staying in one place became fantastic because they didn't feel bored.
However, they found out that the snake woman remembered nothing, but they told her she was a giant snake before and transformed into a human because of Demonise’s power. After how many attempts to transform back into her snake form, it was to no avail.
"What should we name her?” Kyrios blurted out.
"Shocks! We forgot to give her name!” Damona said and thought of a name.
"How about Giga?” Demonise said, since she was thinking about it for hours now.
“Well, she's tall, and I think it suits her.” Sabrina agreed.
“Then, her name is now Giga,” Damona said and everyone also agreed.
The snake woman was so happy after knowing her name. And now it's been a few hours that have passed, but Giga still blurts her name out loud ecstatically. They find it funny how the name made the snake woman enthusiastic.
“So, I have concluded that maybe Giga is a shapeshifter if she can transform back into her original form. And that made her the first shapeshifter in the snake species.” Demonise said.
“It's exceptional! It's like we witnessed a first-born shapeshifter snake.” Echo said.
"And how about Jezebel? Isn't she a half-snake?” Helix said.
“Well, Jezebel was cursed and has been long dead. And Giga is not cursed, so she’s the first.” Echo said.
"Wait—if the infinite diamond has the power to grant individual desires and if the other diamonds fell into the hands of other animals, does this mean they could transform too? This is crazy. We should let Alice know immediately.” Sabrina said.
"Or maybe we should find the other diamonds first,” Vorges said.
"You are right.” Damona and Demonise said in unison.
“I think I could transform back to my dragon form now.” Kyrios suddenly uttered. Upon hearing it, everyone was so glad because they can finally move to their next destination.
But first thing first, they should convince Giga to jump on Kyrios' back. Because Giga got scared when Kyrios transformed into a dragon. It took them two hours convincing Giga that Kyrios is still the Kyrios she knew and he won't eat her alive. And now, they finally relaxed when they were in the air, and luckily, Giga enjoyed looking down below while screaming the word “flying’ multiple times when Demonise told her they were flying. They all sighed and just let Giga enjoy her first time.
