Refusing To Divorce (Julia and Harry)

Chapter Refusing 9

Chapter 9

"Harry, have you lost your mind? Let go of me! Julia protested as Harry pulled her toward the car parked outside the Jackson Villa. She tried to resist, pushing against Harry's grip in an attempt to escape through the car door, but he quickly slid into the driver's seat beside "Would you really want to see your mother's personal effects sold off at auction?" Harry's voice carried a commanding tone, his casual yet authoritative manner leaving no room for argument.

Sitting so close to him. Julia could sense his domineering aura when he said, "Tm willing to offer 40 million dollars to secure your mother's items, provided you agree to my conditions."

Julia's expression darkened as she realized the true intent behind Donald and Freya showing her the items in the villa yard. They were using her mother's belongings as leverage to coerce her into extracting more money from Harry, or else she would see them auctioned. Despite her elegant facade, Julia, having left her career to fulfill her role as his wife, found herself without personal savings; she couldn't muster even 20 thousand dollars if needed. There was no way she could secure her mother's possessions.

The thought of her mother's items being auctioned was unbearable. After a moment of contemplation, Julia responded, "1 can accept your terms, but you must accept mine as well."

She paused for a moment before stating firmly, "Firstly, I will not allow my mother's belongings, especially her personal items, to be auctioned. Once you purchase those from Donald, you may keep the antiques and paintings, but I want my mother's personal effects returne Harry responded with a casual "Sure."

"Secondly. Julia continued, "I want to revise our marriage agreement. I need to start working again." She knew that if she had maintained her career, she wouldn't be in such alvulnerable position While Harry provided her with a glamorous life and high social status, she rea sufficient

Harry simply nodded. "Okay"

"Thirdly, Julia hesitated before taking a deep breath. "I need your help to dismantle the Jackson Group"

At this, Harry raised an eyebrow. He was aware of Julia's difficult relationship with her family, but the idea of destroying their company seemed extreme. "Are you sure?" he asked,

Julia gave a bitter smile. "Mr. Wright, if you had a festering sore, wouldn't you want to remove it?"

To Julia, the Jackson family was just that-

a source of ongoing pain. She had always tried to maintain peace, but it was clear that peace only prolonged her agony. As long as the Jackson family held influence over her, she would never be free. It was better to sever ties with them completely to avoid future conflicts. Harry's face remained impassive as he replied. "If you're certain, I can make it happen. But I can't be openly involved," he added, his expression serious, "Publicly set up my wife's father will tarnish my reputation."

Julia raised an eyebrow, the irony of Harry worrying about his reputation obvious. "You can rest assured," she said, leaning back and closing her eyes. "T'll handle it myself."
