Chapter Refusing 11
Chapter 11
Julia watched as Rose struggled miserably and resorted to desperate measures to elicit sympathy by endangering her own child. Feeling the pressure of humanity, Julia decided to get Rose the medical help she needed. As the ambulance pulled up, the scene was chaotic with media personnel swarming the intersection, eager to capture every bit of the unfolding drama.
Rose, her face ashen, glanced at Julia who maintained a stoic expression. Unable to read Julia's thoughts, Rose shifted her focus to the encircling cameras.
Julia, with a firm tone, addressed her, "Stop pretending. We're going to the hospital to ensure both you and the child are
safe"
Rose had plotted to use her miscarriage to smear Julia's reputation. However, faced with Julia's unexpected kindness, she found herself at a loss for words. Julia, still calm, pressed on, "Don't you want to save your child"
Before Julia could delve deeper into the baby's paternity, Rose's guilty look had said it all. It was only when Rose confronted Julia face-to-
face that she realized Julia was not the pushover rumors had painted her to be. Julia was indeed shrewd, and her approach was nothing short of remarkable.
Avoiding Julia's probing eyes, Rose asked, "Will you really help save our baby?"
that's not what you want, I can respect your decision, Julia replied coolly
Julia's response left Rose frustrated.
Upon their arrival at the hospital, Rose immediately seized the doctor's hand, pleading. "Please, you have to save my It's the only child Harry and I have. If anything unexpected happens, Harry will be devastated." baby.
Julia watched silently, then calmly instructed, "Doctor, please do everything you can."
Julia, well-known as Harry's wife, was already familiar to those who followed celebrity news.
The doctor, shocked that a woman would be willing to take her husband's mistress to the hospital, looked at Julia in disbelief. "Sure, Mrs. Wright, we'll do everything possible to save her baby Hearing herself addressed as "Mrs. Wright, Julia momentarily reflected on her public recognition.
As Rose was taken to the operating room, Julia settled outside, idly browsing her phone. It wasn't until she checked the latest news updates that she realized the extent to which the story of Rose's emergency had spread.. Opinions among netizens were sharply divided, and the media only fueled the fire. Julia found herself thrust into the spotlight, reading through comments where no one blamed Harry. Instead, Julia bore the brunt of the criticism. One netizen commented with clear frustration, "Why did Julia have to make things difficult for Rose? Julia has been married. to Harry for over three years and they haven't had a child, yet she stops other women from having Harry's children." I'm not surprised. If Julia is really as kind as she seems, why do all the women who end up pregnant with Harry's child mysteriously disappear? It must be Julia's doing," another added.
"She may look beautiful, but she's cold-hearted. As long as Julia stays by Harry's side, he will never have a son," someone remarked.
Julia couldn't understand why she was always the target of blame for Harry's romantic messes. She wasn't the one encouraging these women to seduce him, after all.

The comments were harsh-toward her, full of sympathy for Rose, and oddly forgiving toward Harry, painting him as an unlucky husband.

Anger surged through Julia as her face drained of color. She was tempted to call Harry and confront him about the chaos he
had caused.
As the operating room lights dimmed, a doctor appeared, his expression somber. Julia had felt a premonition that Rose's child might not survive.
"Mrs. Wright, we did everything we could, but unfortunately, we couldn't save the baby," the doctor informed her solemnly.
Julia patted the doctor's shoulder in a comforting gesture. Thank you. Some things are beyond our control."
Despite the tragic loss of Rose's child, Julia felt no obligation to linger at the hospital. She arranged for a professional caregiver to look after Rose, doing the least she thought she could do.
Ignoring the online vitriol, Julia reminded herself that her marriage to Harry was in name only. She had negotiated the freedom to pursue her career and was determined to focus on that, not letting her sacrifices be in vain.
As Julia stepped out of the hospital, a black Bentley pulled up. The door swung open, revealing Harry's handsome face. He glanced at her and commanded, "Get in the car."
Julia scanned the area, relieved to see no journalists around.
"What are you waiting for?" Harry asked, a note of impatience in his voice.
Julia's gaze turned icy in an instant. She had just finished sorting out another mess for Harry, and before she could even take a breath, she was hit with a wave of harsh criticism from netizens. The frustration built up inside her, and Harry's indifferent look only intensified it. With a dismissive snort. Julia deliberately kept her distance from Harry as she climbed into the car. "Why did you come to the hospital?" she asked coldly.
"To pick you up," Harry replied.
Julia was skeptical. "Really? Does that not prick your conscience
"Do you not believe me?" Harry seemed surprised, though he masked it quickly.
"Ask yourself if you believe what you're saying." Julia countered. If she hadn't known that Harry's mind was preoccupied with Arya, Julia might have believed his intention to pick her up was genuine.
Harry's lips pressed into a tight line, choosing to ignore her question. "How is Rose?"
"Are you asking about the child?" Julia responded, her tone laced with certainty as if she already knew the answer.
Her question unsettled Harry. "T've told you, Rose's child isn't mine. I never slept with her."
"So what? I've already cleaned up your mess and taken the blame. What else are you worried about?" Julia couldn't understand Harry's odd behavior ever since Arya returned-he seemed changed.
Julia sensed that Harry probably didn't want Arya to catch wind of the scandal, which explained his cautious behavior. Taking again her role as a wife who willingly shouldered such burdens, Julia found it reasonable to make such assumptions.
With Arya away, the atmosphere at home felt unusually relaxing Stepping out of the car, Julia couldn't help but take several deep breaths, enjoying the fresh air.
Harry followed her, his voice soft but detached as he asked, "Go take care of Arya. Why are you following me home?"

Despite being married to hign for three years, Julia often felt like she lived alone; Harry seldom returned home, and it was rare for him to accompany her like this. She half-expected him to just drop her off and rush off to see Arya. "This is my home too," Julia stated firmly. Stopping abruptly, she turned to face Harry. "You've been acting strange these past few days."
Harry walked past her without responding, his tall figure retreating into the distance. Julia stood there, puzzled. 'Could it be that he had a falling out with Arya? she wondered.
