Reclaiming the CEO's Heart

Chapter 139 Negotiation

Chapter 139 Negotiation

Carl was happy. "Yes, as soon as I heard that we could bring a few people on board for free and just take care of the meals, Callan agreed happily. We ate a lot in the kitchen, it was really delicious. I even packed some food before leaving."

Avery now understood why these mediocre people could succeed.

Callan never expected someone to dare cause trouble on the cruise ship and even kidnap Ethan.

They didn't expect the security to be so lax, allowing them to succeed easily.

It could only be described as a perfect opportunity.

"So you did this for money. What about the child?"

"The child is with my grandma. He has a huge appetite. He drank a lot of milk every time," Randy complained.

When Avery asked them, Frank, who had been silent beside her, stared at her intently.

"Is that all the questions?" A low voice came from.

Just as Avery was about to speak again, she saw the man twirling a claw knife in his palm. After a flash of white light, the blade was placed against her neck. "Tell me, who are you exactly?"

Avery felt a chill down her spine. Although these two teenagers were a little stupid, this man was not.

The eyes behind the mask seemed to be observing her secretly like a snake. When she relaxed for a moment, the man bit her neck.

"If you dare conceal anything, I'll kill you right now. No one will know if you die here." The man's cold voice came out word by word.

The man stood against the window, blocking the sunlight that spilled in from outside with his tall figure.

His emotions were hidden beneath the mask; she could only see his tightly pursed lips and the overwhelming killing intent in his eyes, sending shivers down Avery's spine.

Perhaps her attempt to relax her guard and use small talk had raised suspicions. These two kids were obviously not bad people. Birds of a feather flock together, and she was taking a chance.

"I haven't lied. I still have photos of him and me together on my phone."

She took out her phone and opened the photo album that she didn't want to look at in front of everyone.

There were many pictures of Jacob that she secretly took before, whether he was working, sleeping, or drinking coffee.

There were also one or two photos of him asleep while she made funny faces next to him.

All these photos conveyed one message. They were happy in the past, with him working and her messing around.

There was also a series of photos she took during her pregnancy, but by then, Jacob was no longer present. Only she was holding her big belly, with a faint smile on her lips.

"My story doesn't contain a single lie, but there is indeed one thing I lied about. Although I hate Jacob and Layla, their child is innocent. When I saw you carrying the child and leaving last night, without thinking much, I decided to follow."

Avery took a deep breath and said, "I don't want to harm the child; I want to save him. I didn't expect my physical strength to give out and faint."

Indeed, her words finally gained the man's trust. He glanced deeply at her and put down the knife.

"You are kind."

"I originally wanted the child to jump into the sea, but at the critical moment, I gave up. I can't bring myself to harm a child. Since your target is not the child but the money, I think we can cooperate."

Avery looked directly into the man's eyes with a clear gaze. "I hate Jacob. I know him better than anyone else. I can help you get the money and ensure your safety in return. On the other hand, you give me the child, and I will ensure his safety."
