Chapter 18 What His Grandson could not Stand
Everyone knew Angel was idiot. Without Alexia, how dare she do that?
Alexia sneered, "What's wrong with it? I picked her up and let her stay at my house for a night to get over the jet lag. Is there anything wrong with me taking my niece to a party? Sister-in-law, do you have a problem with me?"
Maisy was stunned.
Alexia looked at Daisy, "Daisy, you have always said you are the eldest Miss Duncan, what is the meaning of it? And you treated your sister so badly yesterday in front of so many people. You've disgraced the Duncan family!"
"Do you want people to think all Duncan's daughters are so ill-bred? Outside this door, you represent the Duncan family. You make a fool of yourself, and every girl in the Duncan family will be affected!" "Isn't that what you've been telling Angel? What? Is it only targeting Angel?"
Daisy's face turned pale. She had always been afraid of her aunt.
What was more, her words were enough to make her the enemy of the other Duncan's ladies.
Alexia glanced at the family members who were either surprised or amused by the disaster. She turned to Angel and said, "Angel, say hello to everyone, and don't let people say you are impolite." Angel looked up with a bright smile. "Yes, aunt."
Everyone thought she was hiding behind Alexia because of fear, so she would not dare to do that.
They did not expect to see such a bright-eyed face.
Angel was a perfect continuation of her mother's radiant look.
After five years, she became so beautiful. Not only appearance, even her temperament had Isabelle's elegant demeanor.
Then Angel said hello to everyone.
Looking at the nice and cute Angel, everyone was confused about what to do.
Everyone said hello too.
"Hello, Angel."
"Gee, Angel is even prettier."
"Yes, yes, you look like your mother."
"Well, you are exactly the same."
There was a sound of footsteps upstairs, and all the Duncan's men came out of the study.
Looking at Frank, her father, Angel froze and called out softly, "Dad."
Then she lowered her head.
She was afraid.
At first sight of her, Frank was stunned.
If was like Isabelle stood in front of him.
After he realized she was his daughter, his face turned cold.
With a scornful smile, Daisy went over and took Frank's arm. "Daddy, sister comes back."
A defiant look at Angel was out of the corner of her eye.
Frank remembered what Daisy said last night. He frowned and asked, "I heard you went back to home yesterday. Why did you come back today? Why didn't you come back to see Grandpa first? You are rude! Angel kept her head bowed and did not move.
Alexia said, "Brother, I went to pick up Angel back. There is a family gathering today, so it is the most appropriate time to come back. Last night I had an important dinner party, so I took Angel with me. I did not know you and sister-in-law would blame her."
Alexia gave a detailed and perfect explanation of Angel's itinerary.
When Frank was to say something, Clayton arrived. "What's it?"
He asked.
"Grandpa!" Angel called out.
Clayton's eyes narrowed at the sight of Angel, and then he smiled kindly, "Oh, Angel's back? Your aunt said you need to get over jet lag. How's that?"
Angel smiled sweetly. "I am good."
Clayton nodded and looked at her. "Well, you are taller and prettier."
And then he said to Alexia, "Alexia, Kyle said he wants to let Angel follow you, is there a problem?"
Alexia grabbed Angel's shoulder and said, "No problem, Dad. Angel can keep me company."
They went to the sitting room and sat down, each with their own thoughts.
Maisy said with a smile, "Dad, Alexia is so busy, she can't take care of Angel. Let Angel come home. I have time, I can take better care of Angel."
Alexia looked at Maisy, "Sister-in-law, don't worry, Angel is not a child, she and I can take care of each other."
She knew what was in Maisy's mind.
Maisy smiled, "Angel is the eldest Miss Duncan, Alexia, if she lives outside, others will think I can not tolerate her. Dad, it is not good for our family's reputation."
She looked at Clayton and nudged her husband beside her.
Clayton frowned, looked at Angel, and said stiffly, "You'd better move back."
Alexia sneered, "Sister-in-law, I think you said this for your own sake. If you consider Angel as your own daughter, people will not gossip about it."
"You --, Alexia, what do you mean? What have I done wrong to her? I want to be nice to her, so you have to give me a chance, right? How can I be nice to her? She doesn't even come home." Maisy said.
"All right, Angel stays with Alexia, but she has to come back one night a week to visit Grandpa and your father." Clayton spoke to stop them.
Kyle had begged him to let his aunt to take care of Angel, and he would not contradict him for such a trifle.
His grandson would not anyone to bully his sister.
However it was equal to hold Kyle's soft rib.
As Kyle grew stronger and stronger, he sometimes felt powerless, afraid that one day he could not control Kyle.
Angel's return had put the hilt into his hand with Kyle's own hands.
He would treat this girl well.00000
