Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1302

When the elevator opened, Amelie helped the old lady walk into it.

The military doctors in the ward were all complimenting Anthea. The old chief even took the initiative to invite Anthea to work in the army!

She was fuming with indignation.

Amelie, hospitable still, braced herself up to smile and asked, "Are you hungry? I know there is an authentic shop nearby selling small steamed buns!"

However, the lady seemed to be still immersed in the joy of the successful operation. "Dr. Lee is really excellent! Like the military doctors, I initially thought that she was a young girl who did not treat his case seriously. However, I didn't expect that she would make it!

"I heard from the nurse that she stayed here all night last night!"

"Brock woke up at 5 a.m. and got transferred out of

ICU. Only then did she

go back to take a nap. I just

saw dark circles under her eyes!

"Yesterday, the military doctors and I treated her so badly, but she bore us no grudge. It was not easy for such a kind-hearted girl with excellent medical skills.

When I have a chance, I must thank her again and invite her to my home!"

She kept praising Anthea.

Since she knelt before Anthea, the lady could not help talking about her with barely concealed admiration.

The elevator reached the first floor with a ding sound. Only at this time did she noticed Amelie and asked, "Ah, Amelie, what did you just say?"

Amelie was still smiling.

But her smile looked slightly stiff.

She was trying hard to endure the ear-piercing compliments to Anthea from her godmother.

After all, she had maintained the close relationship with the madam and the chief for such a long period with painstaking efforts.

She hoped that the respected couple would help push Adam to her.

Last time, she drugged Anthea, but Bellamy finally knew the truth and was quite disappointed in her. She was not sure how much bad influence the matter brought to her. Then the old chief happened to fail ill, so she instantly took this chance, intending to show how good she was.

Amelie, still smiling, said, "I'm just worried about you. Last night, you were so worried that you hadn't slept and eaten well. Since godfather is already out of danger, you'd better go back and rest. I'll ask the guarding soldier to send you something to eat later!"

"Thanks for all of this!" The madam said.

"Not at all!" Amelie said, shaking her head with a smile. After a while, her pretty eyes rolled, and she added, "Please rest assured. I'll take care of the chief for you!"

Of course, she did it to show she was a considerate, good girl. Besides, Adam was also in the ward.

In addition to dealing with military affairs, Amelie rarely had a chance to be alone with him.

The old lady nodded. "Okay!"

After seeing her off, Amelie went back to the ward by elevator.

Through the window of the ward, she saw that only Adam was with the chief.

Anthea still had to work in her hospital. The surgery she had done yesterday went well, and the old chief woke up much earlier than expected. Thus, she did not need to stay here all the time. Even if Anthea was not here now, the military doctors here could cope with it.

Adam was sitting on the chair in front of the bed, chatting with the old chief.

The two buttons of his military shirt were open, revealing his bronze skin. With his prominent nose and delicate lips, his face in the sun looked so gorgeous!

Amelie, her eyes glued to Adam, was obsessed with him.

The ward door was not completely closed. There was a crack left.

She held the door handle, pushed it, and wanted to go inside when she overheard their conversation.

'Adam, isn't it time for you to consider the marriage?" The old chief lying on the bed asked him.

Amelie paused immediately.

Hearing what they were talking about, she did not move forward but stopped there, listening with rapt attention.

An irrepressible joy emerged in her beautiful eyes. When she was waiting outside the operating room yesterday, her godmother had mentioned it. To her surprise, the old chief would mention this shortly after he woke up.

Adam replied indifferently, "I won't consider it for the time being."

The old chief continued, "The others in the army secretly talk about you and Amelie, saying that you two will make a good match and you will get married sooner or later. Also, your father seems to take her as his future daughter-in-law!"

Outside the door, Amelie was overly thrilled.

However, Adam remained silent and indifferent.

Suddenly, the old chief smiled knowingly as if he had seen through Adam. "You like the young doctor, right?"

Adam slightly pursed his thin lips.

Seeing this, the old chief confirmed his guess and said earnestly. "Since you went to my ward and persuaded me to do the surgery, your eyes have been on her the whole time!"

When all the others were quarreling in the corridor, Adam entered the ward.

He told him the current situation without reservation. Anthea proposed to do the surgical surgery, while all the military doctors objected to this idea. In addition, he said that since she became a medical student in college, she had been treating and saving people and had participated in all kinds of rescue missions abroad in recent years.

Adam made the old chief believe that she was not young and ignorant. Instead, she just wanted to cure the diseases and save lives, plus she was confident and capable enough.

The old chief finally agreed to undergo the

operation. It was because he had long been tired of living with his weak body in the recent two or three years. He wanted to recover. Moreover, he saw the light of trust and hope in Adam's dark eyes at that time. He wanted to believe them and gave it a go.

It turned out that he made a wise and right choice!

Adam said, "Chief, please take care of yourself and don't worry about my marriage."

The old chief sighed and said, "Adam, you're mature enough to marry someone. Although you married once, you've been left alone for only three months since your wedding. All these years, you've been alone concentrating only on military affairs!"

"You've followed me all those years. In my eyes, you're like my child. You can't live all your life without marrying, can you?"

Adam fell silent again.

After a while, his Adam's apple moved slightly as he looked at him with sincere, dark eyes. "Chief, I won't marry anyone else but her."

In other words, if he wanted to get married, he would only take Anthea as his wife.

Otherwise, he would rather not marry for the rest of his life.

Outside the ward, Amelie clenched her fist, leaving a few scratches on the door.

The delighted smile on her face disappeared completely, and it turned ghastly pale.

In the evening, the setting sun made the city as beautiful as a painting.

After a busy day, Anthea took off her white coat and walked out of the building.

Eric called her at this time. 'Anthea, have you finished your work? Do you have time tonight? We haven't seen each other for several days. Let's have a meal together!"

Since Eric broke his bone, they had not met each other again except when they returned to the hospital to change the fresh dressing for his leg.

Anthea's mouth twitched slightly, but she still refused him in the end. "No, thanks. I have something to do!"

She suddenly went on a blind date and planned to start a new relationship with Eric only because she wanted Adam to give up on her as soon as possible. But now... She hung up the phone and walked down the cement steps.

When she looked up, she saw a green military jeep parked not far away.
