Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1285

Anthea widened her eyes.

After she realized what was happening, she immediately began to struggle.

Adam held her very tight in his long arms, his wrapping around her back. It seemed that he wanted to get entangled with her, making her his own flesh and blood.

Anthea was struggling very hard.

However, the strength gap between men and women was too big Moreover, Adam was a well-trained soldier, so his body was full of hard muscles. He stood before Anthea like an iron wall that she could not push him away for an inch.

Adam held her in his arms and walked to the jeep. 'Anthea, let's talk in the car."

In the blink of an eye, he strode to jeep and got her into it.

As the car door was closed, they were alone in this sealed space.

Anthea told herself to calm down. With calmness, she wanted to ask him what he was up to. However, Adam leaned over and stretched out his long arms to hold her in his arms again.

His attacking scent as a strong man rushed into her nostrils. She gritted her teeth and asked, "Adam, what are you doing? Let me go! I have a boyfriend!" However, Adam still held her tightly in his chest as if he did not hear her at all.

Her hands pressed against his chest, trying to escape from him. When she looked up, her eyes stared into his deep-set dark eyes. His eyes were bloodshot and full of pain.

Anthea's heart skipped a beat.

While she was in a trance, Adam's thin lips landed on her ear. "Little fool, I know all of it."

Anthea frowned for she could not understand what he meant.

After returning to her senses, she continued to push him away. "What exactly did you know?"

Adam said, "Baby, our baby."

Anthea froze all of a sudden.

Her ears were buzzing.

She was shocked. "You..."

Adam pulled her out of his arms and put his palm on the back of her head. With a little strength, he made her look into his dark eyes. "Why did you lie to me? You've got ectopic pregnancy. Why did you lie to me that you aborted our baby?"

If it was an ectopic pregnancy, they were doomed to lose their baby.

After knowing the truth, Adam was very sad, but he was even more upset that he misunderstood her.

At that time, for no reason, she suddenly proposed to break up with him. Later, when he came back after the mission, he learned that she was pregnant, but then she told him in person that she had aborted it. The heart-breaking news brought him from the happy heaven to the miserable hell. He was sad and disappointed.

Adam was so furious that he did not even think of investigating it.

Only after confirming that she had lost her child, he thought that she did it because she was determined to break up with him!

Anthea, with a shocked expression, was thinking fast. Only a few people knew her secret about the baby. Except for Emerson, who was with her at that time, only Leonardo knew what had happened. She asked them to keep the secret for her. So, who told Adam it? But the answer did not matter now!

It was because he already knew.

Anthea gasped and said, "You knew it!"

"Yes, I know all of it," Adam said, clenching his teeth in sadness. It seemed that the flames of anger in his eyes could turn her into dust and ashes. With hatred, he continued, "If no one told me it, you would keep this from me for the rest of your life, wouldn't you?"

Anthea's nails dug into her palms as she clenched her fists. She turned her face away and said, "But it's useless to tell you - the baby would still leave us, and it would only make you sad!"

Adam pinched her chin lightly and pulled her small face back.

He felt a dull throbbing pain in his heart.

Adam asked in a hoarse voice, "Anthea, were you very sad at that time?"

His question instantly brought tears our of Anthea's eyes.

Because of such a question of concern, Anthea could not control her suppressed emotion anymore.

An overwhelming sadness rose from the bottom of her heart, making her heart ache. All of a sudden, she felt like crying.

Anthea's eyelashes trembled slightly, and her tears fell down.

She felt sad, extremely sad.

When she first found out that she was pregnant, Anthea was thrilled and began to count down by seconds to the day that he returned. She was

looking forward to telling him such a pleasant surprise!

When she woke up from the hospital and learned that their baby was gone, she was suffering from terminal sadness.

Thinking of the pain of lossing her baby, Anthea cried harder.

Her tears washed his fingertips. Her tearful face pierced Adam to the heart.

"I'm so sorry, Anthea."

She was so young to be a mother at that time, but the baby unexpectedly came and then left like that. It must have grieved her very much to experience all of this, but he was not with her!

She was alone.

Adam cupped her face in his hands and lowered to kiss her tears.

When he took all her tears away, his lips went down and covered her little pink lips.

Anthea tasted tobacco between her lips and teeth.

In the middle of the night, Adam asked Carter to drive the jeep here. Then he stayed in the car and waited for her the whole night.

Now that the misunderstanding was cleared up, Adam kissed her affectionately with passion.

It was like when they were in their best times - when there was no one around, Adam, in his military uniform, would press her against the carriage seat and kissed her fiercely and hungrily. After all, he had been missing her in every minute of the past six years.

Anthea, her back against the back of the chair, felt a little dizzy and was nearly out of breath.

Her eyes dimmed a little with this long, ardent kiss.

Adam's thin lips move upward and stopped between her eyebrows. "Anthea, let's start over."

Upon Anthea's eyelashes there still lingered tears.

She could feel his fast heartbeat under her palm and saw his features right under her nose.

It seemed that his black eyes, like a whirlpool, could suck her soul in.

The scarlet scene suddenly flashed in her head.

It instantly damped down her enthusiasm.

She felt cold from head to toe as if being splashed with cold water. Then she shook her head and said with determination, "No!"

"Adam, since you know about the child, I don't have to hide it from you. There's nothing to be done about ectopic pregnancy. This child was not supposed to come from the very beginning!" Anthea suddenly pushed him away and refused. "As for us... we have broken up six years ago. Everything has changed. I have no feelings for you!"

After that, she opened the door and jumped out.

Anthea stopped a taxi and got in it.

Adam did not hurry to chase after her but gazed at her back with his deep eyes until the car was out of his sight.

On the way, Anthea took out her phone that had been vibrating for a long time. It was a call from her good friend, Golden Leonardo.

As soon as she picked it up, she heard Leonardo's serious tone. "Hey, Anthea, there's something I have to tell you! Adam came to me late last night to seek confirmation about how the baby died. He seemed to have known everything..."

"Yes." Anthea popped her head up onto her hands, feeling quite distressed.

Leonardo asked tentatively, "Have you met already?"

Anthea closed her eyes. "Hmm..."

She did not want to say more, so she ended the call in a hurry. But in less than two minutes, her phone vibrated again.

Anthea did not want to pay attention to it but it kept vibrating. She had no choice but to pick it up again. When she saw who was calling, she hesitated for a while and finally picked it up.

From the other end of the line came Eric's laughter.

"Hello, Anthea!"
