Turning to Raquel once more, she wasn’t even trying to suppress her laughter anymore. She was literally holding her stomach and laughing uncontrollably that she almost fell to the ground but I caught her before she got there. That didn’t stop her from continuing her laughter. It was not in the least amusing, so I let her go and she dropped bottom first to the ground” Ow!” She winced and stopped laughing

“That was cruel” She complained but I didn’t respond

“How were you going to teach me to read your thoughts?” I raised my head to meet her gaze. She was serious, but I didn’t care any longer. She could think whatever she wanted for all I care. It’s not like it would affect me in any way

“Never mind, 1 changed my mind. “I said and she bursted out laughing. Had I said something funny? She stopped laughing abruptly when she noticed the serious expression on my face. “You’re serious” She said and stood up from the ground and walked up to me, I was arranging my desks, since I was done in the study for today and was headed for the training ground, Raymond had just informed me that Aiden had sustained an injury few hours ago and now Alec had sprained his ankle.

“If you do not teach me how to do it, i’ll tell everyone what I believe I saw” She threatened and I chuckled “A threat, you’re becoming more and more strong hearted as the days go by. I seem to be a great influence in your life. I like it” I responded and made to leave, I didn’t have plans of telling her about the kids, she would have requested to follow me and I have had enough of Raquel for the day

“As much as I would want to deny that, it is the truth, which means I would not think twice before spreading the rumor and when I’m done. I won’t regret it” I stared at her for a while and a smile appeared on my face

“And who do you think they would believe when Cade and I come out to debunk your claims?” I asked

“You seem to have underestimated yourself Leo, I have proof to back up my claims” She looked very confident

“Show me” She brought out her cell phone and raised it up to my face. Okay….this was something and boy, did it look so real. I had no idea we were that close. But of course that should not deter me right?

“With the height of technology now, that could have easily been photoshopped” I said

“Well then it’s a good thing we have someone who is vast in the knowledge of technology, he could help us detect if it is real or not, and with proof” I was tongue tied at this moment and decided to grab the phone from her and delete the image immediately. She seemed to have noticed what my plan was and tried to run away, but I was faster, I caught her by the waist and took the phone away and deleted the image immediately. She gasped in what I presumed to be shock

“Blackmail tool, discarded…what’s your proof now?” I asked, smiling triumphantly but stopped when I noticed she was smiling too “What? Why are you smiling? I just discarded your, oh! You sly bitch, you duplicated the photo” Realization struck me and we both began to laugh “You’re a fast learner” I commended and made a mock bow and said “Indeed, I have the best teacher” and we laughed again

“Alright! You win” I said and drew her closer to me

“Are you ready to close your eyes now?” I asked and she nodded “Alright then, stay calm and focused on your aim” I instructed. She took a deep breath and complied, while I drew her to an embrace and began stroking her her hair, to help

her relax more

We stayed like that for five minutes, then I asked “Do you feel anything?” She shook her head negatively “Just listening to your heartbeat” Seriously? I stayed quiet for a moment

“Is that what you’re supposed to be doing?” I asked and she shook her head negatively again. “No”

“Good, now stop listening to my heartbeat and focus on reading my thoughts” I commanded. “Yes sir” with that, we went dead silent again. After about five minutes I asked if she could feel anything and her answer came in negative. I sighed heavily This is a waste of time” I said and broke the embrace whilst rubbing my temples
