Chapter 50. Vision
“What are you so afraid of Xayla?” Mason questioned me.
We had just let off Kalina at the airport and we were now on our way back to his house.
“I’m not afraid of anything Mason.” I replied, gazing out the car window.
“Then why?” He questioned, sounding frustrated.
“Why is it such a big deal anyway?” I turned to look at him.
“Its not. I just want to know why. You haven’t given me a valid reason as yet.” He calmly explained.
We stopped at the stop light and he turned to face me.
“I’m just not ready to move in with you as yet.” I look down at my hands.
“Why Xay?” He asked me once more.
“I’m afraid that you won’t want to be with me anymore. You’ll see how boring I am and how terrible I look in the mornings and then you’ll change your mind about us.” I sighed out aloud. It actually felt good letting all that out.
What happened after was not what I was expecting.
He started to laugh. Like, really laugh. I just stared at him confused.
“What are you laughing for?” I asked him.
He sighed and gazed at me with an amused grin, “Xayla, you have nothing to worry about. Why would you even think that I would leave for something as stupid as that. I’m not going anywhere Xayla. Only if you want me to and quite frankly, even if you want me to leave, i’m sorry but i’m not going to.” He said to me in a serious tone.
“Now, we’re going to sit here and we’re not moving until you agree to live with me.” He smirked at me.
I look behind us and then to the stoplight in front. It was about to go on green.
“You have to drive. The light is on green.” I told Mason.
“I’m not driving until you agree to live with me because you have nothing to be scared about.” He grinned.
The cars behind us blowed their horns and the guy who was directly behind us started to shout at us.
“Mason.” I warned him.
Mason turned the car off and took the keys out then sighed.
The people behind us started to blow their horns once more. I look behind and the guy was out of his car and was walking towards ours.
“Mason you have to drive.” I urged him.
He closed his eyes and begun to hum.
The man was almost at Mason’s door.
"Okay okay I’ll live with you!” I exclaimed. "Now drive!”
A grin crept up Mason’s face and he quickly started the car and drove fast enough before the guy had a chance to say anything.
Whew!
I looked at Mason and he was just sitting there, with a grin plastered along his face. He seemed so happy that it made me smile as well.
“What are-
I suddenly felt a shiver run up my back that prevented me from finishing what I had to say.
"Xayla?” I heard Mason call out.
I look to my right and I see him walking towards me. We were no longer in the car. We were both in a house.
"Yes honey?” I hear a feminine voice answer.
I look to my left and I see myself, well a replica of myself sitting on the couch.
My replica got up and there, vividly shown, was a belly bump.
Mason passed me as if I wasn’t even there and walked over to my replica. He rubbed her tummy.
"How are my two princesses?” Mason asked my replica, his eyes glistening with pure happiness.
"How do you even know its a girl?” My replica smiled at him.
"Well I don’t know. Even if its a boy, I don’t think I’ve been any happier in my life. Other than the day I made you my wife.” Mason kissed my replica’s forehead.
"Daddy!” I heard a tiny voice behind me.
I turned to see a little dark haired boy with blue eyes. He was like the smaller version of Mason.
The little boy ran pass me and into his father’s arms.
"Uncle Jake says I can’t play with baby Annalise.” The little boy cried. He seemed like he was around three years old.
"When she gets bigger you can play with her all you want.” My replica says sweetly to the boy.
"Okay mommy.” The little boy smiles.
"Hey when’s everyone else coming?” I heard a voice behind me ask.
I look to see my best friend Shira with a blonde haired baby girl in her arms. That must be baby Annalise.
"I just called Chloe and they’re on their way. She also said that Cynthia and Evan are running a little late.” Jake walked up behind Shira saying.
"Good. Because we need to get this barbeque started. I’m eating for two you know.” My replica said to my friends, caressing her baby bump.
"Do we really have to do this every year?” Jake sighed.
"Yes uncle Jake.” The little dark haired boy walked up Jake saying.
Everyone in the room chuckled at the little boy.
"Why are you laughing at me?” The little boy pouted.
Mason walked over to him lift him into his arms.
"Because you’re adorable.” Mason kissed the little boy’s forehead.
"My name is Caden, not adorable.” The little boy pouts.
"We know sweetie.” My replica smiled at Caden.
"When will my baby sister or brother come out of your tummy mommy?” Caden asked my replica, looking up at her with his big blue eyes.
“Very soon sweetie. Very soon.” My replica kissed his cheek.
The view of them suddenly disappeared and I was now back in the car with Mason on the road.
“Was that a vision?” Mason questioned me, while paying attention to the crowded road.
“Yes.” I sighed with a smile. I had just seen the future and I am so happy with the way its going to be.
“What did you see?” Mason turned to look at me for a second.
“You, me, my friends.” I trailed off as I remember what I had just saw.
“What about us?” Mason asked nervously.
“I can’t get into specifics because of the problem it will cause if I do but just know that we’re going to be very happy together in the future.” I reached out and placed my palm on his cheek.
He gazed back at me, his eyes shimmering.
“Okay.” He smiled and kissed the back of my hand.
“Okay.”
