Chapter Socialization Required
Granat reviewed the print-out of Reggie’s progress for the day. She exceeded all his expectations.
He remembered the first day she ever handled a weapon, and how her accuracy was significantly lower; she hit her target only sixteen percent of the time. He loved his memories of her growth; every day was more fascinating than the last. Everything she learned, he taught her, each skill she acquired was a skill she learned from him.
He directed his attention to one line:
Sample Omega shows the capacity and willingness to adapt to any new situation, but she is in need of social interaction. Use of team work and outside association highly recommended.
“Shelby,” Granat said to the computer screen, on standby until requested.
“Yes Dr. Granat?” Shelby responded.
“What is this recommendation about?”
“She needs to start learning teamwork situations; most missions in the field are team missions and she has yet to learn hand signals and interpersonal interaction.”
“That’s a very unusual recommendation,” he contemplated.
“She needs to camouflage into society, she must learn by interacting with others. Perhaps a tactical training session with local law enforcement?”
What team would you recommend I use?”
He considered for a few moments, Shelby’s algorithm was more often than the rest of his employees.
“Shelby,” he started.
“Yes, doctor?” She chirped.
“Contact the Chief of Police. Bribe him, blackmail him, whatever you need to do to have Reggie join them on one of their training exercises.”
“Of course, doctor,” Shelby promptly obeyed.
