“You’ll stay in this room.” Hayden opened the door to a bedroom, “I’ve told Alayna and she said it’s alright for you to stay here.”
“Alayna is a chivalrous woman. Of course, she will help out.” Freddie tilted his head to look into the room and nodded in
satisfaction.
“Don’t take advantage of the situation. Quickly move out once you found a place for yourself. This isn’t my house and it’s
inappropriate for you to keep staying here.”
“Understood.” Freddie placed his arm over her shoulder, “Sis, what are we eating tonight?”
“Noodles!”
“I love the noodles cooked by you!”
Stella was enjoying the chocolates that Freddie brought for her from overseas. After her door was opened, she just sat on the
carpet and listened to the sounds from outside and thought of Mr. Beckham’s reaction at the kindergarten. Her large eyes started
to turn.
Mommy and Mr. Beckham lived together for so long and there wasn’t any progress. Looked like she needed to urge them on!
The next day, Hayden went to buy vegetables in the morning. Since Freddie was back, she needed to give him a proper
welcome. Just as she left, the doorbell rang. Freddie went to open the door and asked, “Did you forget something?”
He opened the door but it wasn’t Hayden.
“You are?” Joseph held onto Noah’s hand and stood by the door. Noah kicked up a tantrum early in the morning that he wanted
to eat at Hayden’s place. When he came, he didn’t expect Freddie to be there and his expression immediately changed.
Freddie thought and realized with a clap, “I saw you at the kindergarten yesterday. You must be Stella’s friend’s father! Do you
live here as well?”
“Mr. Beckham!” Stella’s voice came from inside the house, “Noah, you’re here as well.”
She ran out with the pattering of her feet and said, “Freddie, Mr. Beckham is mommy’s boss and also her good friend. Noah is
my schoolmate. They frequently come here to eat.”

“Oh. Alright.” Freddie laughed and stood aside, “Come inside, don’t stand at the door.” He behaved as he was the man of the
house.
Noah frowned and stared at him.
Freddie didn’t notice the little guy and smiled at Joseph, “Hayden came back to the country not long ago and doesn’t have many
friends. I’ve heard of the issues with getting into ST Group. You must be taking good care of her.”
“She is very capable.” Joseph answered and asked, “How are you related to Hayden? Yesterday I heard Stella calling you
uncle?” But he didn’t know that the Downey family had a son.
“Yeah.” Freddie raised his eyebrows, “I’m adopted up by Hayden. I’m considered her half-brother but we’re not related. More
accurately, I’m her future boyfriend. She’s raising me up to be her husband.”

Joseph lived for thirty years and never seen a man labeling himself as such and with that tone.
“You’re humorous.” Joseph simply said.
“Humorous?” Freddie looked at him, “Do you think that I’m joking? I’m saying the truth. In any case, Hayden will be my girlfriend
soon. Ask Stella if you don’t believe.”
Three sets of eyes looked towards Stella.
Stella was stunned for a moment and then nodded, “Yeah, mommy and Freddie are very close! It would be cool if Freddie
becomes my father.”
Joseph felt a lump in his throat when he heard this and replied, “Your mommy is very gracious. She already has a daughter and
yet is going for a younger man? I really didn’t notice this side of her.”
“Society is evolving. Hayden and I are just two steps short of being together.” Freddie laughed and looked towards Joseph
cautiously.
“Have a seat, I’ll get you a drink,” Freddie said as he went to the kitchen. This Joseph seemed a formidable opponent, he
thought.
On the other end, Stella led Noah to the bedroom and said, “Noah, have a look at my interlocking toy, I can’t undo them.”

Noah stood at one side, folded his arms, and ignored her. He looked angry.
“Noah.” Stella looked at him and scratched her head, “What’s wrong with you?”
Noah became even angrier when he saw her indifference. He took a drawing board and wrote a sentence: My daddy is rich and
handsome, how can you have a change of heart! I won’t talk to you anymore.
Stella looked at the board for a while and still didn’t understand, “What? I don’t know that many words, Noah.”
Noah took a deep breath and wrote and drew on the board before giving her the board.
On the left was a man in a suit holding hands with a long-haired woman. Each held onto a young child. On the right was a man in
a track suit and a long-haired woman with a child between them.
Noah pointed to the drawing and then to Stella as he fumed angrily.
Stella realized and asked, “Are you saying that I didn’t keep to our contract?”
Noah nodded.
They had agreed to find a way for their parents to come together so that they could become a family. How come they changed
their minds as soon as a handsome man appeared? Women!
“Haha.” Stella suddenly laughed, “You are fooled! That meant that my acting skills are rather good, Noah.”
Noah frowned and didn’t understand.
“Aren’t you anxious that my mommy and your daddy don’t have any progress after so long?” Stella sat on the carpet and
explained, “I’m only pretending! Grandpa told me that only when there is competition will there be pressure. So since Freddie is
back, it will give Mr. Beckham some pressure. This way Mr. Beckham will think about whether he wants to be closer to my
mother!”
Noah still didn’t believe her.
“Look at how your daddy looked at Freddie, he obviously didn’t look natural!” Stella tugged onto Noah’s sleeve and said gleefully.
“That’s why I feel that Mr. Beckham definitely likes my mommy for some time already. Let’s continue to put in our efforts.”

When he heard these, Noah thought about his father’s reactions and calmed down. It sounded logical. Daddy normally didn’t
even like to smile. How would he actively chase after a woman? If there wasn’t any pressure, perhaps he didn’t even know what
to do! Noah looked at Stella and nodded enthusiastically when he thought of this.
Hayden finally came back with the groceries. She saw the two men sitting on the sofa as soon as she opened the door. Other
than the occasional laughter from Stella, the house was rather quiet.
What’s happening?
On seeing her, Freddie stood up and said, “You’re back!” and then quickly went over to take the bags of groceries from her
hands, “I’ll take them.” Joseph also stood up from the sofa.
Hayden placed her handbag down and asked, “Why are you here?”
Joseph replied calmly, “Noah wants to come, so I brought him here.”
“Noah’s here too?” Hayden looked towards the bedroom and said, “I bought some vegetables and there’re enough for all, stay
for lunch.”
Freddie’s expression changed.
