Chapter 62
Chapter 62
Elizabeth hurriedly interrupted Andrew. “As for finding a job, it’s better to find a suitable one. I’m not in a hurry.
“Coincidentally, I haven’t rested for a long time. It’s good to use this time to give myself a break and recharge”
Elizabeth didn’t tell Andrew that she wanted to open a psychology center.
Elizabeth did not want to take too much advantage of Andrew.
Andrew couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed at being rejected so bluntly.
Andrew looked at Elizabeth, who was packing up and about to get up. He hurriedly pointed at a plant and asked, “What flower is this? It looks pretty.”
“Phalaenopsis, a type of orchid, Elizabeth glanced at it and answered casually.
“Okay.” Andrew nodded and pointed to the side. “What about this?”
“Tulips.”
“And this?”
“Lilies”
“And this?”
Elizabeth was annoyed by the questions.
Elizabeth looked at the hundreds of flowers in the flowerbed and took out her phone. She held Andrew’s hand and placed the phone in his hand. “Take photos and search for them online. It’s faster.”
“Okay.” Andrew heard Elizabeth’s words and knew that he had angered her. Andrew smiled helplessly and fiddled with Elizabeth’s phone.
The phone wallpaper was a photo of Elizabeth, who was two or three years old, with her mother.
The chubby little girl smiled until her eyes couldn’t be seen.
The young woman’s face was filled with happiness.
The woman was a completely different person from Madison in the sanatorium before.
Andrew stared at the photo for a while and asked hesitantly, “About Mrs. Clarke’s sanatorium…”
“I’ll think of a way myself.” Elizabeth interrupted Andrew.
Andrew was a little dissatisfied when he saw that Elizabeth distance herself from him in such a hurry. “You can continue asking me for help. Didn’t I already make a move previously?”
Wasn’t it unnecessary to distance herself from Andrew now?
“But you have already helped too much.” Elizabeth smiled as she watched Andrew, pulled her phone out of Andrew’s hand, and put it back in her pocket. “This is my mom. It’s better for me to find her myself.”
Andrew chuckled and said very naturally, “As your husband, I also have the responsibility to find her. I should help too.”
Andrew almost blurted out those words.
Only after saying that did Andrew feel awkward. It seemed that his relationship with Elizabeth had yet been that close.
cold.
“It’s a little cold 1 want to go back.”
With an unnatural expression, Elizabeth hurriedly stood up, wanting to escape from this awkward scene.
Elizabeth was too anxious to get up.
Elizabeth’s clothes were hooked by the iron garden chair, preventing her from leaving.
Elizabeth, who was anxious to escape, panicked. She pulled hard, and the chair tilted and fell. It was about to hit her leg-
“Be careful!” Andrew hurriedly got up to hold the chair.
The chair was made of pure iron and had complicated patterns. It was quite heavy.
While Andrew held onto the chair, his little finger was hit hard.
The fingers were connected to one’s heart, and it hurt terribly.
“Hiss. Andrew couldn’t help but shout.

“Are you alright?” Elizabeth’s expression changed drastically as she quickly went to check on Andrew’s injuries.
The nail of Andrew’s pinkie had been broken in half by the chair. Blood trickled down between his fingers and onto the floor.
Elizabeth was afraid that this would stimulate Andrew and make him relapse. Elizabeth hurriedly grabbed Andrew’s finger and did not let him see the wound. “Quick, let’s go bandage it.”
“It’s alright.” Andrew thought that Elizabeth was concerned about him, and his heart softened.
Andrew pulled his hand out and shook it. He smiled and said. “It’s just the nail that’s injured but not broken. It’s not a big injury.”
“Really?”
Elizabeth stared at Andrew apprehensively, afraid that he would change into a different person if she said something wrong.
“Of course, it’s true”
Andrew felt uncomfortable being stared at by Elizabeth.
Andrew coughed awkwardly before saying. I just said that casually. If you mind, I won’t make such a joke in the future.”
“Oh, it’s alright.” Elizabeth made sure that Andrew did not have a relapse. Elizabeth let out a long sigh. “The garden is so cold. I’ll go back first.”
Andrew watched Elizabeth leave in a hurry and felt very disappointed.
Elizabeth, who had rushed back to the villa, was worried. She ran to the floor–to–ceiling window and peeked at the garden.
However, Elizabeth saw that Andrew was still standing where he was.
Elizabeth sighed softly and turned around to look for the first aid kit.
When Andrew came back later, Elizabeth would bandage his wound. After all, it was because of her that Andrew was injured.
Elizabeth, who was carrying a first aid kit, did not wait for Andrew. Andrew was called away by a call from the company.
At night.
Elizabeth did not sleep well after resting early.
Elizabeth had a strange dream.
In the dream. Elizabeth looked like she was only five or six years old, very little. She ran hurriedly into a snow–white corridor of the sanatorium.
Behind Elizabeth, there were medical staff whose facial features could not be seen clearly chasing after her desperately. The needles in their hands shone with a cold light, and everyone wanted to stick the needles on her.
“Mommy!” Little Elizabeth screamed as she ran into the nearest room and rushed into Madison’s arms.
Madison smelled like sunlight. Little Elizabeth hugged Madison’s waist and cried. Elizabeth pointed outside the door. “Mommy, they bullied me.”
“I’m useless.” Madison’s cold hand touched Elizabeth’s little face. Her voice was filled with tears. “I can’t protect you.”
“Mommy?” Little Elizabeth looked up and saw that Madison’s face was covered in blood. The blood flowed down Madison’s hairline and mixed with her tears. It was very scary.
“I can’t protect you. I’m useless,” Madison repeated. She picked up little Elizabeth and placed her on the windowsill. “Run. Leave this terrifying place. You have to live well.”
With that, Madison pushed hard, and little Elizabeth was pushed off the windowsill and fell.
“Ah!”
Elizabeth screamed and opened her eyes.
The warm yellow wall lights filled the entire room with a warm atmosphere, but this warmth could not reach Elizabeth.
Elizabeth’s entire body was covered in a cold sweat, and her pajamas were drenched. When the wind blew, Elizabeth shivered from the cold.
“Mommy…
Elizabeth smiled bitterly. She covered her face with her hands and wiped away the liquid on her face that was either sweat or
Lears.
How could Elizabeth have such a ridiculous dream?
Was it because Madison was mentioned earlier in the day?
Chapter 62
Elizabeth threw back the covers and sat on the edge of the bed, her bare feet on the wooden floor. The coldness of it made Elizabeth shiver and sober up considerably.
Elizabeth walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower. Then, she changed her clothes and went downstairs to drive toward the sanatorium.
The car drove to the place where Andrew had brought Elizabeth to peek at the sanatorium. The sky was still dark, and the streetlights shone on the leaves that were blown by the wind. Like monsters that bared their fangs and brandished their claws, the trees looked very scary.
Elizabeth sat in the car and stared at the building of the sanatorium in a daze.
One of these dark windows belonged to Madison.
However, did Madison still remember Elizabeth?
Would Madison blame Elizabeth for not saving her?
