Chapter 31 Bitch Theory
When Channing arrived at the Baron's house, he didn't ring the doorbell and just slammed the door roughly with his hand.
Adelaide was sleeping in her room. She was a light sleeper, so she was waken. She frowned and got up with a jacket.
Since almost miscarried, she knew Damla could not be relied on. Antonio liked to be clean, so all the work at home was done by Damla and Damla's monthly salary was ridiculously high. So, only she and Damla were in the big villa.
Damla couldn't help her at home, and she didn't expect Damla to do anything now. When Adelaide had just walked out of the room, Damla had already opened the door.
Since there was nothing she needed to do, Adelaide was about to go back to her room to continue to sleep.
"Where's Adelaide, I'm looking for Adelaide!"
"Gosh.
Who are you!"
Damla exclaimed in shock, but it wasn't her fault, Channing was covered in blood, everyone would be afraid of him.
"Cut the crap and tell Adelaide to come see me!
I'm Adelaide's ex-boyfriend."
Channing sat shamelessly on the couch, and he yelled like he was back in his own home.
Adelaide heard this and shuddered. She looked down the stairs, "Ah!"
She took two steps back and her hands clutched her collar, with a look of fear unconsciously running across her face.
"Adelaide, I need to see you for something, come down or I'll go up."
Channing leapt up from the couch, not in the least bit like a badly injured person.
"I'm coming down!"
Adelaide was afraid that he would go to her room, so she jogged to Channing. She had seen his bloody appearance upstairs, but she still backed up in shock. Channing saw this and his face went blue.
"What?
Afraid of me?"
Adelaide averted her eyes from him.
"Why do you come to me?"
"Adelaide, I'm here today to admit my mistake, I want to expose Clarissa's evil deeds to you."
Channing knew she was scared and wasn't getting any closer.
He didn't wait for Adelaide to chime in but told Adelaide all about the process of meeting Antonio and the banquet on his own.
Adelaide was surprised. She knew Channing wanted to harm her, but she did not know Clarissa was behind him. Although she had wondered if it was Clarissa, she had no evidence. But why Channing came here and told her the truth?
She had to be suspicious and cautious,
"What do you want?"
After a moment of hesitation, Channing told Adelaide all about his injuries and what had happened to him these days.
Upon hearing, Adelaide understood that they had a civil unrest. Although all these were masterminded by Clarissa, Channing was also the one who directly hurt her. Adelaide sneered,
"You deserve!"
"Yes, I deserve it. Help me get back the evidence of my embezzlement of public funds or help me fill in that loophole, I will go with you to Antonio and tell him the truth, and by then Antonio will definitely come back to you."
Channing's eyes glowed. He thought Adelaide would help him.
Adelaide smiled. If she helped Channing, it sounded like it was good to her, but actually it was beneficial to Channing.
According to her understanding of Antonio, he wouldn't believe anything she said now, so why would she spare an enemy to "kill" the other enemy.
"Sorry, you know my relationship with Clarissa. I don't have the nerve to ask her for your evidence and I don't have the money to help you, so I'm sorry I can't help."
The corners of Channing's mouth twitched, he was still undeterred, "Adelaide, we were at least once boyfriend and girlfriend, help me out."
For the love of what once was?
But when he helped Clarissa bully her, he totally forgot they were once boyfriend and girlfriend. Adelaide simply wanted to laugh at these words, feigning indifference. "Sorry, I can't."
Adelaide took a few more steps back. Channing continued to beg her, but Adelaide still had a sullen face and refused to help. He became angry and cursed, pointing at Adelaide's nose.
"Adelaide, you inhuman bitch. I was good to you, now you are unwilling to do me a small favor. You are as vicious as your sister. I will wait and see you are to be kicked out by Antonio. Shit! What a bitch!" Channing cursed and spat at Adelaide as he walked out.
He went out and found Alvin's car still parked on the road. He walked over to his car.
"Little brother, you look like you're not happy. Tell me what's up and I'll help you figure it out."
Alvin looked at his gloomy face and said.
Channing immediately sighed.
"I misappropriated ten million from the company before and now I can't pay it back."
At his words, Alvin gently patted his shoulder as he took out a bank card from his wallet.
"Not a big deal, anything that can be solved with money is not a problem, take it. Here's twenty million, pay it back, and the rest, go heal your wounds." Channing's eyes immediately glowed, and the gloomy mood he had just felt was swept away. He took Alvin's money while saying with great bravado. "I'll call you brother if you don't mind, and in the future I will do anything you require."
"Ok, I happen to have no brothers, so I'll take you as my brother."
Channing received the money and giggled, but he didn't see the unknown smile at the corner of Alvin's mouth.
Alvin took Channing to the money. Adelaide was angry because she had suffered so many unexplained aggressions due to these two people.
Yet he came to her. She was wronged by Antonio, and even almost was unable to keep the baby.
But this man said that he was wrong easily and that he could go with her to Antonio's to clear things up as long as she helped him pay back the money. What about the suffering she had?
What about the pain of almost losing her baby?
Adelaide's fists tightened involuntarily, and she didn't let go until the pain in her hands reached her brain.
She felt that the hurt she had suffered was irreparable, so now she had to tell Antonio so that he would not misunderstand her and the baby.
After taking two steps, even if she took Channing to talk about it he may not believe, would he believe what she said?
Adelaide became suspicious and stopped her pace. She touched her belly and secretly sighed, as long as the baby was healthy, she was fine with aggravation.
She had a sweet dream that she chased after her child, who was smiling sweetly and shouting.
"Mama, Mama."
She felt that it was worth doing anything for this child, for the beauty of her dreams.
With that thought, she went back to her room and lay down expecting to dream of her child again!
