Chapter Chapter Seven: Glimpse From the Past (Father and S
Kurie lead the group down into the dungeon's maze work of corridors. Rounding a corner, Jason felt the presence of something old and ancient. Thinking nothing of it, and sensing no danger, he continued his journey until Kurie finally came to a stop.
A few feet in front of them along the left wall, they heard struggling from a large open doorway. Suddenly, what Jason saw as human, came flying out the room, crashing against the opposite wall and falling to the floor.
"John!" Gerla screamed out, pushing past the group and running to his aid.
Jason and Vanessa turned on their suits as the Peacekeepers engaged their weapons while the group ran to her side. The doors slammed closed as they approached, but not before seeing a floating jellyfish-looking creature with those same alterations.
"Thought...Cassia....!!" John said weakly before passing out.
Gremlet, confused by John's statement, tried to help John on his feet with Keen and Lern. Sudden realization kicked in and he nearly dropped him before Keen grabbed him. Gremlet turned towards the large stone doors.
"The Ancients!" he mumbled to himself in disbelieving shock. Not having time to explain, he turned towards the Peacekeepers.
"The Ancients!!" he yelled more urgently, pointing at the doors catching everyone's attention.
Not really understanding what Gremlet was talking about, but seeing the urgency of it, Jason and Vira ran to the doors and tried to push them open but couldn't. Pelik unhooked his plasma rifle and fired a few shots. The shots bounced off the doors and hit the opposite wall causing everyone to duck. Recovering, Jason stepped to the door. He pushed his fist against them as his suit's arm turned into two pistons. The pistons rapidly pounded the door, only to succeed in shaking the whole corridor. Clouds of small debris rain down on them. Stopping to think for a second, Jason looked around the door. He stepped to the side in front of the wall. He placed his arms together in front of him, causing his suit to form a large cannon, a soft whine as the turbine began spinning. A soft ping in his ear, but before Bianca had a chance to warn him, Jason fired. The bluish glow of the energized frequency distortion reverberated off the walls in a rainbow of colors. The force of the powerful blast, which had been magnified by the wall, knocked everyone down as Jason's cannon became two arms again just in time to catch his fall. The walls started illuminating a soft blueish glow and began emitting a soft pitched tone that began to harmonize throughout the whole lower chamber.
"I haven't seen the walls do that in years." Gremlet said, more to himself as he reached out towards the glowing wall at the same time trying to stand up.
"What kind of weapon is that?" Arius asked Jason, also looking around in amazement, but before he could answer, Jason and Vanessa's suits clouded over and started glowing a bright bluish color. The walls began to match the suits brightness and passing it, as the tone grew higher in pitch. Another rainbow colored pulse emanated from the wall but not as strong this time. The wall began to crack and split in an almost web-like pattern where Jason shot it, then crumbled down into the fading glow of a smoking pile of debris, leaving behind a large hole in the now normal wall.
Jason was trying to override the safety protocols in order to disengage the concealment cloak to see what three new life forms had just shown up on his scanner to the left of him. Two more were in front. The cloak finally revealed his true surroundings just as Arius yelled out.
"You!" he said.
Jason turned his head towards the three new figures.
"Frankie?" Jason asked, not believing what he was seeing. At the same time, a cybernetic figure down on his knee next to Frankie, removing his hands from his head, looked at Jason and said...
"Dad?"

The blue figure lead them through the corridors until they caught back up with the group just as one of the Velcronians ran to aide someone on the ground. Keeping them at a distance, the blue figure turned towards Mike.
"This is where they will need you at. You will be with them from that point on. You'll understand in a minute. I must leave when that time comes, but you'll know what to do when I'm gone." he said, then turned to Rael, who had backed up a way, afraid to approach any closer to the doorway.
"You'll have to come with me. I'll get you back to your friends safe and sound but there's something I need you all to do. In the meantime, let's watch the show." the blue figure said, then turned towards the other group just as the stone doors slammed shut.
They watched as members of the group attempted to get the door open but couldn't. Rael, still not believing that he was not only seeing humans, but being escorted by two as well.
Finally, the taller of the two humans, now wearing some sort of armor made of light, stepped to the side of the door. Rael, looked at the wall and recognized the gritty marble like covering as Glactinite, then at the human, as a strange noise emanated from him. Suddenly realizing what the human was attempting, he was just about to warn the other two when two things stopped him. Frankie, looking at him with a smile and holding up a finger, and the light suited human had just fired his weapon. The resulting pulse did nothing to Rael or the blue figure.
Mike, however, grabbed his head, dropping to his left knee in pain. Frankie reached down to comfort him and try to help him back up.
Rael was mesmerized by the wall's glowing vibrations, almost lulling him into a deep sleep, until suddenly, something felt wrong. The vibrations began to increase painfully. Just when he couldn't take it anymore and he thought his crystal shell was going to crack, another rainbow colored pulse emanated all around and the vibrations ceased just as quickly. He felt relieved from the sudden build up of tension, but noticed a disruption in his dimensional cloak. He looked at the other two, glad the cybernetic human was no longer in pain, but disturbed because they too had slipped back into reality.
"You!" he heard one of the Velcronians say, addressing the cybernetic human. It made a move towards Mike but stopped when the suited human called out the blue figure's name. Perplexed, Rael was just about to ask when Mike, finally recovered, looked at the suited human and called him by a name he did not understand. Frankie turned to the suited human and smiled. Suddenly, everything went bright, as they were teleported in a bolt of lightning, leaving Mike behind.
