Chapter 215 Stop Pretending
Chapter 215 Stop Pretending
Orlando took a deep breath, and his sharp face was cold.
Anika sensed that both of these people were not to be trifled with, and she followed behind them cautiously.
"Rex, Ms. Stuart has a fever and has fallen asleep after taking her medicine."
As soon as the words fell, Rex ordered her to open Penny's room.
Anika could only comply and stood respectfully to the side.
Rex glared at Orlando, "Why aren't you going in to check on her? Are you lying to me about your efforts?"
Orlando's eyebrows twitched, not knowing who had called Rex today, but He insisted on following him to Hills Villa.
He stepped into the room where Penny was, but before he could say anything, the door behind him suddenly closed!
Orlando's face instantly turned dark, and his eyes were filled with icy coldness.
Rex ordered Anika to lock the door, and she quickly complied.
Through the closed door, Rex said, "Orlando, you take care of Penny in there. It's clear that you two are sleeping in separate rooms. You didn't even stand up for her when she was being bullied. Don't try to fool me anymore. Penny is too kind-hearted and even tried to smooth things over for you. Humph, tonight, you two will sleep in the same room!"
Inside the room, Orlando stood there rigidly, staring at the closed door with a sharp gaze that could cut through people.
On the bed, Penny was also feeling uneasy, and her palms were sweaty with nervousness.
She didn't expect that Old Mr. Fletcher would use this move, locking Orlando in this room.
Quietly, she covered her head with the blanket, tightly sealing herself off from the outside world.
Orlando sneered and walked over to the single sofa on the side, and his eyes were fixed on the lump on the bed. "Stop pretending."
His tone carried a hint of disgust, and his cold gaze was fixed on the bed without blinking.
He was certain that this woman was intentionally pretending to be sick to lure Rex here.
Now that he was here, why was she still hiding under the covers?
Thinking about the adoration in her eyes and the revealing nightgown she wore to seduce him, he felt all so cheap. Annoying!
Orlando unbuttoned the top button of his shirt, revealing his sexy Adam's apple.
Perhaps this time, he was really pushed to the edge. There was a hint of redness at the corner of his eyes, like a poisonous flower.
Penny hid under the blanket, not daring to move. Without even reaching out to feel the atmosphere outside, she knew that the room was colder than a refrigerator.
"If you pretended to be sick to get Grandpa to bring me here, why are you hiding now? Wasn't it enough when you willingly came to the hotel last time? My attitude has already been clear enough." Orlando was disgusted with her, to the point where even talking to her made him uncomfortable.
Fortunately, he was about to go to Prodale County soon. He would stay there for a month before returning, so Rex wouldn't have any excuse to make him go back to Hills Villa.
He took a deep breath, knowing that Rex was determined to keep him here tonight. He couldn't leave now, so he leaned back against the wall.
But his back injury hadn't healed yet, and the more he thought about how it was caused by this woman, the more his disgust grew.
Outside the door, Anika was worried.
"Rex, is this really a good idea?"
Rex snorted, gripping his cane tightly.
"What's wrong with it? Penny said they've already consummated their marriage. It doesn't seem like she's lying. I think Orlando took her and is still thinking about other women, that scoundrel." Otherwise, he wouldn't have cheated. How could the Fletcher family have such a scoundrel?
"You stay here and make sure no one comes out tonight. You can say it's my order. Tomorrow morning, you can let them out."
"But even so, Orlando probably won't touch Ms. Stuart."
"Hmph, I already made him consume something else on the way here."
Anika stiffened, remembering sensual massage oils that Rex had instructed her to place on Mr. Fletcher's bedside table last time.
It seemed that Rex really wanted a great-grandchild.
