Chapter 194
Chapter 194
Stella was terrified, barely able to catch her breath. Then came the second and third trees, crashing down.
in succession, blocking their way back.
Looking around, they were surrounded by a lush green jungle. It was as if they were on an adventure in the
wildemess
“What should we do?” Stella asked, her face full of womy.
“We need to go back” Yoel surveyed the surroundings. A storm might hit tonight. If we stay here, we’ll be
in trouble.” Stella nodded.
“Are you okay?” Yoel asked her.
Stella shook her head. “Don’t worry, Yoel. I’m very agile.”
“Good. Let’s hold hands. It’ll be safer that way.T
“Alright.”
They held hands and crawled under the fallen trees. Yoel kept glancing back at her. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” Stella’s petite body was agile, climbing up and down easily.
Seeing that they were about to break through, Stella smiled. “We’re almost out.”
As she spoke, Yoel shouted, “Watch out!”
Another tree came crashing down, heading straight for Stella’s back.
Stella was scared out of her wits. In the next second, Yoel pulled her into his arms as the tree struck him
instead. His handsome face turned pale as he coughed up blood, staining Stella’s dress.
Stella was horrified. With her eyes wide and trembling voice, she called out, “Yoel!”
*Go!” Yoel urged her to go.
Stella refused to leave. Telling herself to stay calm, she wiped the dirt from her face and steadied her voice. “Yoel, it’s going to be okay. I’ll get you out. We’ll be fine….
She pushed the large tree off his back and draped his arm over her shoulder. Her petite frame supported him as she struggled to lead them out of the jungle.
“Yoel, don’t pass out. We’re almost out. I’ll get you to a hospital…” Stella said through tears.
Upon hearing her voice, Yoel looked at her and gave her a reassuring smile. His consciousness slowly faded as he muttered, “Don’t cry, I’m fine…”
It was deep into the night. A storm was raging outside, Brian remembered that Stella was afraid of thunderstorms. Alone at Tarovian Terrace, she was probably too scared to sleep. He got up from the sofa
and headed out.
Jessica heard the noise and called out, “Brian, there’s a storm outside. Where are you going?”
“I’m leaving,” Brian put on his coat and left.
In the dark, Jessica’s eyes welled up. She had admired Brian since she was young and loved him for ten
years.
In the end, she was outdone by a girl who had been with him for only two years. Her nails dug into her flesh as hatred surged within her.
Brian drove back to Tarovian Terrace. He did not even bother with an umbrella as he strode through the heavy rain into the villa.
However, the place was empty, with not a single person in sight. Stella hadn’t come back? He called her
three times, but no one answered.
With a dark expression, Brian called Mike, ‘Find out where Stella is.”
Mike immediately started investigating. Soon he had the answer. “Mr. Foley, Mrs. Foley is with Mr. Perkins…at the hospital right now.”
“Yoel?”
“Yes… that’s right.”
Brian’s face instantly became terrifyingly grim. He had warned her that Yoel was up to no good. He had told her to stay away from him, and she had already forgotten.
