Chapter My Toyboy 114

Chapter 114

Claude's expression shifted rapidly from shock to anger before finally settling on a mix of disbelief and sympathy.

"Ms. Jones, how could you hit Mr. Bennett with a lamp? What did he do to deserve this? Claude, usually so composed, was now too upset to maintain his usual demeanor.

Cynthia replied slowly, "lle was acting like a rogue with me."

Claude was taken aback when he realized what had happened.

Claude turned his head, his voice barely above a whisper. "Mr. Bennett, how could you act like a rogue? I brought you here to express your feelings, not to treat Ms. Jones like this!"

Claude looked equally awkward as he helped Jonathan up. He turned to Cynthia and said, "I'm sorry, Ms. Jones. Mr. Bennett has been drinking"

Cynthia crossed her arms, her voice cold. "Being drunk isn't an excuse for his behavior. Next time, I'll just call the police

Claude couldn't help but feel that women could be so heartless. After all, a little passion between couples hardly counted as acting like rrogue.

However, Claude also understood that they were on different wavelengths. In Jonathan's heart, Cynthia was still the woman he deeply loved, while from her perspective, they were already broken up. Claude forced a smile. "There won't be a next time, Ms. Jones. Please forgive him?

Cynthia waved her hand dismissively. "All right, just take him to the hospital to get that wound treated."

Claude felt sorry for his boss. He had just been to the hospital for IV drips during the day and now had to go again at night for a bandage.

It's no wonder Mr. Bennett kept the truth from her; how could he fall for someone as sharp and unyielding as Ms. Jones? Claude wondered.

He knew that if Cynthia truly understood the risks of being with Jonathan, she would undoubtedly walk away without a second thought.

Claude sighed when he thought of how Jonathan would have a hard time in the future.

After Jonathan left, Cynthia lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, feeling a mix of emotions.

It would be a lie to say she wasn't affected at all. Now, whenever she couldn't sleep, Cynthia found herself longing for Jonathan's embrace.

She was certainly moved and touched. However, Cynthia knew she couldn't let herself fall in again. It would kill her. Above all, her life was the most important.

Cynthia barely managed to sleep for two hours. The next morning, she headed to the airport.

There were no direct flights from Roncrity to Pillere, so Cynthia first had to transit in Hofcaster. After a long journey that took 10 hours, she was relieved to be in business class, where she could sleep intermittently for a few more hours. By the time Cynthia arrived in Pillere, it was evening,

Cynthia emerged from the airport, looking quite refreshed. She grabbed her luggage and headed toward the hotel she had booked in advance, which was World Hotel

Chapter 114

World Hotel was located near the Grand Palace, which was the venue for the competition in two days.

Cynthia's room was a luxury suite with a stunning view of the Epiphany Tower and the Shersby River. The hotel also featured Pillere's most famous rooftop bar, with a 394-foot terrace offering breathtaking views of Pillere. If she couldn't sleep at night, Cynthia thought it would be a great place to visit.

Cynthia stayed in her room for a while before deciding to go out for a walk. She browsed several luxury stores and bought a few bags she had been eyeing, which brightened her mood significantly,

As dusk settled, Cynthia decided to head back to the hotel for dinner. While walking along the fashion street, she suddenly felt a strong rug on her arm.

When Cynthia snapped back to reality, she realized that two thugs had snatched her bag.

The two thugs looked young-one had blonde hair, and the other had dreadlocks. They wore loose hoodies and ripped jeans adorned with various metal accessories, making a clattering noise as they ran like the wind. Cynthia quickly snapped into action, chasing after them in her high heels. Despite the heels, she-moved swiftly as if she were running on flat ground.

She caught up with the blonde-haired thug first and kicked him in the bottom from behind. The blonde-haired man stumbled and fell directly to the ground. The two bags he had stolen flew out of his hands, landing a short distance away.

The guy with dreadlocks heard the noise and stopped. He glanced at both Cynthia and the blonde guy on the ground, but instead of coming closer, he quickly picked up the two bags that had fallen and took off running.

Cynthia sprinted after the guy with the dreadlocks. He was fast, so she quickly took off her high heels and held them in her hand.

Seeing the guy sprinting faster, Cynthia threw her high heel at him. It hit him squarely in the back, causing him to stumble and fall hard to the ground.

Cynthia quickened her pace and soon reached the guy with dreadlocks. He had gotten back on his feet, glaring fiercely at

her.

Then, Cynthia calmly picked up her high heel. She squatted down gracefully to put it back on. Her movements were elegant.

The guy with dreadlocks, having just fallen and broken a tooth, angrily pulled a fruit knife from his denim jacket pocket. He rushed toward Cynthia fiercely

Although Cynthia was still leisurely putting on her shoes, her peripheral vision was already focused on the guy. She knew she could handle him easily, even if he were with a group.

She waited for the right time. The moment he approached and raised a knife at her, she swiftly kicked him even when she was squatting before that. If all went as planned, her heels would land squarely on the dreadlock guy's chest, likely knocking a mouthful of blood out of him.

However, an unexpected twist occurred. Out of nowhere, a white figure lunged at the guy with the dreadlocks, shouting. "Run!"

Cynthia quickly realized she had encountered a good Samaritan who was trying to help.

However, her kicking leg couldn't be pulled back in time. With that person already tackling the guy with the dreadlocks, Cynthia had to change direction. Unfortunately, there was a stone block nearby, and her high heel hit it, making a sharp crack as the heel broke. Cynthia furrowed her brows. Meanwhile, the figure in white had tackled the dreadlock guy, and the two were fighting each

other.

It was then she realized the figure in white was a boy in a white T-shirt. It was clear he wasn't a match for the dreadlock guy. who had him pinned down. Cynthia went over directly, raised her hand, and slapped it on the back of the dreadlocks guy's neck. His body went soft, and he passed out directly.

The boy in the white shirt pushed the dreadlock guy aside and quickly stood up, looking at Cynthia with surprise and admiration. "Miss, you're amazing!"
