Chapter 526
Chase immediately followed her, his large hand gently caressing her back. A flash of brightness surged in his narrow eyes. "Sasha, have you gotten your period this month yet?" Sasha heard him ask and was taken aback. Her periods were always on time, but today was the end of the month, and it should have come at the beginning.
With all the filming lately, she had completely forgotten about it.
A bad premonition flashed through her mind. That crazy night with Chase after she got drunk led to that time in the bathroom without protection. Could it be that she got pregnant just one time? Sasha's eyes reddened from vomiting, her face pale. She stared at Chase in a daze, her eyes full of panic and confusion.
Chase immediately wiped her mouth, helped her up from the ground, and soothed her, "Don't worry, if you're really pregnant, we'll get married."
Sasha, infuriated, punched him. "Chase, did you do this on purpose? You knew I was in my fertile window, yet you didn't use protection." Chase grabbed her hand, smiling. "You can't blame it all on me. Weren't you the one who couldn't wait and rushed me?"
"You still have the nerve to argue? You bastard! You're just trying to take this opportunity to marry me. Keep dreaming! I'd rather die than marry you." "What about the baby? You can't let him grow up in a single-parent family."
"My career is taking off. I absolutely can't have a baby now, let alone a child that is yours. Rest assured, even if I am pregnant, I will terminate it." Sasha stormed out of the bathroom. Her mind was in chaos. If she really was pregnant, could she really go through with terminating it?
She loved kids so much, but the child's father would be Chase, that jerk. How could she marry Chase because of a child? He always looked down on her.
She would never bow to him!
Sasha immediately took out her phone and ordered several pregnancy tests online. Regardless, she needed to check the truth first. Chase, without discussion, took her hand. "I've already contacted the hospital. Let's go get checked. If it's true, we'll plan accordingly."
"I'm not going. The hospital is full of your colleagues. If we go there for a check-up, won't the whole hospital find out?" "Pregnancy tests can be inaccurate. Only a blood test is truly reliable. You have no choice now. You must come with me to the hospital."
Saying this, he bent down to carry Sasha in his arms, heading straight for the door.
Sasha struggled in his embrace. "Chase, I don't want to go to the hospital. Put me down."
Chase looked down at her with serious, earnest, dark eyes. "Sasha, I've lived for 28 years, and I'm finally having a child. If you terminate it, I swear I'll make you regret it in ways you can't imagine!" After saying this, he swung open the door just in time to see the stunned assistant outside.
The assistant couldn't believe it,
"Sasha, are you pregnant? Should I ask for leave from the production team for you? What about the upcoming scenes? Should I reschedule them? Next month, there's also a reality show. Should we cancel it?"
The assistant was always diligent about work. She rattled off a series of work arrangements. Sasha glared at her. "It's all speculation. Please don't spread rumors. Put the stuff down, and you can leave now."
The assistant heard everything Chase had said. He said he would make Sasha regret it in bed.
Wow! Poor Sasha!
She was so passionately loved by such an attractive boyfriend. Absolutely lucky to experience this. It was enviable.
The assistant put down her things and immediately ran downstairs.
Chase got Sasha into the car and buckled her seatbelt. She spoke to Chase, annoyed, "We can go for the check-up, but it has to be
confidential. I'm about to wrap up my current project, and I have a lot of events lined up. I don't want to delay my work."
