Chapter Are These The Answers I Need?
“We're here, go inside this door.” He pointed towards a white door across the hallway
I walked over and the second I opened the door the collar on my neck fell off. I was rather happy because that thing was getting itchy. I stepped inside the room and saw a man and woman standing there. They both stood there with smiles on their faces and that worried me more than the guy holding a gun on the other end of the door. The woman was wearing a lab coat and she had her hair tied up; she had a tired look to her, almost like she’s been through this situation before. The guy standing next to her was wearing a large trench coat that had two rows of buttons going down the middle; he had a sterner look to him, I didn’t like how much he was eyeballing me, like he was just looking for a reason to attack. then they both sat down and motioned for me to sit in the chair across from them; I walked over and sat down but I still wasn’t sure on how safe it was. I saw the woman pull out some papers and put them on them in front of her.
“Hi. Judging by your current demeanor I’d say you’re rather suspicious of us aren’t you.” I gave her a reluctant nod; I really didn’t trust her after she read me so easily. “Ok, well we understand that you’re suffering from amnesia yes.” I gave her another nod. “It’s ok if you don’t feel like talking, I’m sure you’re very confused right now. Now I think I should tell you what happened before this; do you want to know?” I shouted yes and immediately covered my mouth right after.
“Ok then. I could understand how you’d want to know. Now then, we couldn’t find much on you. No date of birth, no residence, no name, and the only person your DNA has a relatively close match to is serving life in prison for murdering six people, and they have no surviving relatives.
Given the circumstances we’ve given you the name Red, due to your crimson eye color. You’re also very lucky to be alive, you were found in an alley, your head was bashed in and whoever attacked you decided to cut your chest open, break your back, and break all the fingers on your left hand...
Now I would like you to walk with me while I tell you the rest, it’ll help you make more sense of things if you can look around, and see all the facilities.” I was surprised when she asked me to walk with her; I couldn’t refuse and I also wanted to know what’s going on.
They both stood up and started for the door; she motioned for me to get up and follow them once the door was open.
