Chapter 18: Summoning An Ancient Human Soul - Part 2
Ibro could see the contents inside his storage ring, and so he kept staring at the ring observing the altar and Ren's soul shards merge together.
The altar was like a dry land that met water, as it began to absorb the soul shards one after another without showing any signs of stopping.
Each time the altar absorbed one soul shard, it shook as it gained some size. The minute altar began to grow in size, crossing the size of a thumb heading towards the size of a fist.
Ibro wondered if that altar would end up being so huge like the ones he met so far. He watched the ongoing process closely, as he totally ignored his surroundings.
He didn't let his guard down, however there was no risk anymore except from that fiend who was now trying to fasten up the process of summoning that ancient being of his clan.
Ibro felt some excitement in his heart, as he was anticipating this upcoming battle. Who would be stronger, the ancient being of the demon clan or the ancient being from the humans?
Ibro believed humans were weaker regarding body capabilities, however humans were smarter, and knowledge was the essence of humanity's strength.
The altar absorbed the whole soul shards in less than ten minutes. That miniature altar was now the size of an adult human, and it began to shine with bright light inside Ibro's storage ring.
Ibro's heartbeats were accelerating, as he was sure he would summon Ren's soul as a whole like this. He didn't wait for long as the light subsided and the shape of a wise middle aged person appeared in front of him.
It was Ren, Ren in a better form than the one he recalled, and that Ren was somehow giving him the vibe of an immensely powerful human, human he never thought he would even exist even in his imagination.
'Was the ancient lost strength this powerful?'
Ibro muttered as he watched Ren become more apparent second after second. In less than a minute, Ren was floating in the air, as he began to closely inspect the place he was currently at.
"A low class cultivator storage ring, you got some balls Ibro. You risked summoning me here, weren't you afraid your precious little ring of yours would be damaged in the process?"
Ibro was surprised by this, as he never thought about this possibility at all. He wasn't worried about the ring, as he had many others in his possession, instead he was worried that the ring could have limited the abilities of Ren's summon right now.
Before he could open his mouth and ask about the summon process, was it completely succeeded or it had some flaws, Ren's voice came again:
"Unfortunately I don't have time to speak with you right now. When I separated my soul back then, it was an ancient technique that was hypothesized by one of our brightest. It wasn't tried before, however we knew its shortcomings.
We can't stay on the land of living without any support, so I can't stay out for long. I will tell you about many materials, gather them and try to feed them regularly to the altar, as the altar would be the place where my soul will reside forever. contemporary romance
According to the amount of materials and the purity of energies you gave to the altar, you can summon me for a certain period of time. So listen well and memorize this long list, and I hope to meet you personally next time."
Ibro's eyes widened, as his mind got the theory behind summoning Ren. He thought he could only summon him today and after that his soul would dissipate, however he now knew that was wrong.
Ibro glanced all around him as he smiled; his luck today was really great. He hurried to interrupt the words of Ren as he said to him:
"Ancestor, please enter your altar again."
Ren was startled by the words of Ibro as he paused for a moment then he said:
"If I went inside, I wouldn't be able to come out again. You will need to supply the altar with energy, enough energy to summon me again. Are you sure?"
Ibro grinned as he replied:
"I'm asking my ancestors to trust me, I have a way to support you with enough energy to be summoned more than once."
Ren was about to say something, however he didn't. He wasn't sure if Ibro was aware of how huge and pure a form of energy needed for him to be summoned. He stood there motionless for a moment before he decided to gamble. After all, it was Ibro's chance in this lifetime not his.
"Fine, I hope you know what you are doing kid."
Ibro watched Ren's soul fading away, until there was nothing left of it. Ren had already returned to his altar, and now Ibro was ready to use the huge energy here to summon Ren.
He now understood why that fiend took this long time to summon the ancient fiend. The summon technique required a huge supply of energy, however Ibro didn't need to take all that time, he already had what he needed.
This huge vortex that was formed of those ten huge fiends who stored pure form of energy was enough to supply his altar with energy required for the summon.
What Ibro wasn't sure of was the effect of that spell on the whole process. It was supposed to support and facilitate the whole summoning process, that what Ibro had guessed in his mind.
And as he now had the altar, he could use it directly to absorb the endless pure energy of the vortex, but Ibro didn't choose to do so. He took out the altar as he decided to further gamble, he wanted to know what would happen when this new supporting variable was added.
Once Ibro took out the altar, he felt the eager desire of this altar to absorb all this energy around it. Ibro didn't let it go towards the vortex, instead he threw it towards the much smaller vortex next to him.
"Use your blood to bind with me, hurry."
