Chapter 3282
Seth’s eyes narrowed slightly as he inspected the ID; it was fake, confirming his suspicion about the visitors. He returned the ID
without revealing his realization and subtly signaled toward a hidden spot with his other hand.
They had a team positioned here specifically to ensure Nolan and Lana’s safety, determined not to let any potential threat into
the kindergarten.
A responding whistle came from the hidden spot upon receiving Seth’s signal.
“Now, can I go in?” the visitor asked, visibly growing impatient. The teacher’s been gone a while. He knew that if they don’t do
something soon, they would blow their cover.
Anne came back, yelling, “Don’t open the gate! The Wi-Fi is working, and there’s something off about these people.”
The visitor frowned. He had hoped to sneak in without causing a scene, but now he saw no other option but to use force.
He banged on the gate, frustrated, and told his group, “We’ll break in. We have to catch them.”
With that, four more people got out of the vehicle, looking threatening and ready to climb over the kindergarten’s gate.
But before they could react, another group of people appeared suddenly and overwhelmed them. They were pushed into the
same van, which then sped away.
Anne stood there, stunned, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
“Ms. Morrison, are you okay?” Principal Laura Sullivan noticed Anne’s distress and approached her.
“Ms. Sullivan, l-l...” Anne struggled to find the words.
Laura remained composed. “It’s okay, just take a moment and then get back to your work.” “Okay,” Anne replied, sounding
dazed, before walking away.
Laura glanced toward the gate, having witnessed the events herself, and could guess what had happened. She shook her head
and sighed in relief internally, ‘Thank goodness Mr. Johnston had arranged for protection.’ Nolan watched everything happen. He
was on his way to the bathroom when he saw it all from the hallway.
“I guess Mommy and Daddy are dealing with the bad guys,” Nolan whispered. “I hope they’re okay.” Even though he was
worried, Nolan knew he had to stay out of trouble. He had to keep himself and Lana safe so he wouldn’t add to Jared and
Nicole’s worries.
He went back to the classroom quietly, not telling Lana about what had happened. He made sure she stayed with him the whole
time.
In Mecrounia, Charlie received Seth’s report, his face turning grim.
“That bastard really tried to go after Nolan and Lana,” Charlie muttered angrily.
“Proceed as she requested,” Jared suddenly said sternly.
Charlie and Doretta looked at Jared and firmly responded, “Yes, Mr.
Johnston.”
Seeing Jared about to leave, Charlie asked, “Where are you going?” “Don’t follow me,” Jared left them with three words before
departing.
