Chapter 110
Chapter 110
Yafe looked resigned and ashamed as he tried to smooth things over. He shot a
warning look at Celena and Liam and said, “Alright, our family dinner is more
important. Let's not waste our time on unimportant people! Come on, Wasyl, let's
drink!”
His tone might have sounded civil, but his gaze was filled with anger as he
looked at Celena and Liam.
Celena was once the daughter of one of the most distinguished
families in Drunham City. How did she end up with the likes of Liam? She even
gave birth to a bastard child and made the Stone family a laughing stock.
However, Yafe had forgotten that it was not without his contribution that Liam had
ended up in Celena’s room seven years ago.
Celena saw how everyone was looking at her angrily. They were condemning
her, making her hang her head.
She quietly pulled Liam's hand and shook her head lightly. “Liam, stop talking.
This is the Stone Mansion, after all. Let's not poke our noses where they don’t
belong. Let's just sit here to have dinner quietly with Jovie, alright?”
Liam saw how conflicted Celena looked, so he nodded and returned to his seat
with Jovie in his arms. He no longer wanted to press Wasyl any further.
However, Wasyl did not plan to just let Liam off the hook. He glared at Liam and
barked, “Hold up. Explain what you had just said. You have not dined with me
before in Macclesfield? Are you trying to say that you are the commander-in-chief
of the Pendragon Warriors, the legendary King Pendragon who commands
hundreds of thousands of men?”

Liam frowned as he glanced at Wasyl. He was just about to blow his lid when he
saw from the corner of his eye that Celena was trying her best to warn him. Then,
he decided to swallow his anger and stop responding.
Wasyl, however, was like a dog with a bone.
He slammed his glass on the table and yelled, “Who the fuck do you think you
are? If you're the commander-in-chief of the Pendragon Warriors, then I'm the
chief of a hidden ancient tribe! How about you take a look in the mirror before
you try to impersonate King Pendragon? Careful or you'll lose your head if he
finds out! You may even get the Stone family in trouble. Do you understand?”
Hearing that, the Stones quivered in fear. Some timid ones could not even hold
their glasses in their hands anymore. They all hated Liam, who was insolent and
did not watch his tongue.
They started defending the Stone family by saying, “Mr. Abbott, this is all Liam's
fault! The Stone family’s got nothing to do with it!”
“That's right, we have never acknowledged that he’s one of us, so he’s not a part
of the family. If there's any blame it should all be on Lia
alone!”
Reginald had been quiet this whole time. However, he also let out few awkward
chuckles and said, “Mr. Abbott, I hope you will be gracious enough to ignore this
loser! How would he know as much as you do? Please don’t lower yourself to his
level.”
It was only then that Wasyl sneered. He took out a few invitations from his pocket
and threw them on the table casually.

At first, Wasyl only had two invitations. However, he wanted to appear better, so
he spent a hefty sum to purchase another three.
