My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2125

The reason why she knew that Yuliana would probably agree was due to the fact that she, Qiana, had weighed the pros and cons for her, as well as offered up her own dignity in order to compromise. In the future, Yuliana would be able to trample on her at any time and place!

She had spent so much effort to climb to this position. How could she be willing to let such a thing happen?

She, Qiana, wanted to be a woman who was second to none to everyone around her. She would never allow any other woman to get the best of her.

Currently her need to please Yuliana was only a temporary measure.

In the future...

Qiana sneered in her heart.

Just wait and see!

This b*tch had such audacity that she'd dared to install a camera in Tremaine's bedroom. She had to make Yuliana pay the price with her own blood! Three days passed in a blink of an eye.

On this day, Sheldon entered Tremaine's office under the excuse that he was there to deliver some data.

Tremaine had not returned to the Quartley Palace for the past three days.

He didn't know what happened, only that Tremaine's face grew darker and darker each and every day, his whole mental state a cause for worry. Preslie had also been by for the last three days as well, all to see Tremaine.

But Tremaine had always refused.

The soldiers had barred her entry. It was impossible for Preslie to force her way in.

She had no choice but to ask Sheldon for help.

Sheldon also had a headache over this.

There was nothing he could do about it if Tremaine didn't want to see Preslie.

However, he'd promised that he would help her by talking to Tremaine, all to ease some of her anxiety.

After he put down the data sheets, Sheldon studied Tremaine.

He wasn't handling his work at all.

He was distracted.

His gaze was a little erratic.

It was rare to see this side of Tremaine.

It turned out that whenever something happened, such as a conflict between Tremaine and Yesseca, Tremaine would use the excuse of work to divert his mind.

But for the past three days, for all that he was in his office, he actually didn't use the time to work. At least every time Sheldon saw Tremaine, he wasn't working. Instead, he looked like he was floating in space. "Mr. Tremaine." Sheldon called out to him in a low voice.

Tremaine did not respond.

Sheldon poured a cup of hot water and handed it to him. "Mr. Tremaine, have a cup of hot water." Tremaine's eyes fell on the hot water in Sheldon's hand, and then looked up to Sheldon's face.

"Put it down," Tremaine said in a deep voice.

Sheldon put down the glass.

He then cautiously probed, "Mr. Tremaine, Preslie has requested to see you several times. From her appearance, it seems that she really has an urgent matter to talk to you about. Would you like to see her?"

Tremaine frowned. "She wants to see me?"

Sheldon thought there was a chance for the meeting to happen, hence he immediately replied, "Yes, but every time she's been stopped by the soldiers."

Tremaine was a little annoyed. "If she makes a scene even once more just to see me, then let her leave the office."

Sheldon was left speechless

Just as he was about to speak up for Preslie, Tremaine suddenly thought of something and added, "Don't do this. I won't see her. Just let her do her job well." He'd just remembered.

Back then, Preslie had only been able to start work in his office due to Yesseca's recommendation.

"Yes." Sheldon was also sensible and knew that he shouldn't ask any more questions. He turned around and was about to leave the office, but was once more stopped by Tremaine.

"Sheldon." Tremaine's voice sounded tired and bleak. "If you had intimate relations with a woman, how would you deal with it?"

Sheldon's face immediately turned red.

Have intimate relations with a woman....

He had never even slept with a woman.

But since the man had asked, he had to answer.

Sheldon wondered what would happen if he had a relationship with a woman.

And as always with this line of thought, someone needed to be the subject.

Sheldon automatically placed Preslie in his thoughts.

His face turned even redder.

It was so red that it was almost as if blood would gush out from his pores.

His voice went softer when he replied, "Mr remaine, I would be good to her: I would be responsible for her for the rest of my life. I would take care of her for all of our days. Whatever she wanted. I would fulfill it for her."

"But this woman isn't the one you like," Tremaine voiced out.

Sheldon was stupefied for a moment.

He then asked subconsciously, "How would such an act happen without any liking?" "Don't ask any unnecessary questions."

Sheldon gave it some thought and answered, "Mr. Tremaine, men should be indomitable. They must be responsible for what they do. ff they really did that to a woman no matter what, they must take responsibility for her."

This was also the reason why he had never touched a woman at his age.

Not even those women who had tried every means to seduce him.

He was too conservative and stubborn.

A trace of mockery flashed across Tremaine's dark eyes.

"Sheldon, take me to Agaphen City."

He came back to the shopping mall where Yesseca worked as usual.

What was also usual was him being discreet as he stood at a corner, watching her from afar.

Perhaps it was due to the fact that there was a lack of customers, in order to boost the staff's morale, the mall had begun to let them dance.

Under the enchanting quality of the music, a row of staff started to twist their bodies.

They twisted their hands, followed by their legs, then their behinds.

In short, their movements as they twist from one end to the other was akin to a snake.

Sheldon couldn't believe his eyes.

He subconsciously glanced at Tremaine, only to find that his mouth was slightly hooked up at the corners.

Even his eyes, which had been dim for a few days, seemed to have regained some of their brilliance.

His eyes were fixed on Yesseca.

Amidst the various staff members there, his gaze fell unerringly on Yesseca's face alone.

Sheldon didn't quite understand.

Mr. Tremaine definitely still held feelings for Yesseca.

But why didn't he make peace with her after such a long time, and instead paint a picture of no longer being able to reconcile with each other?

And since they couldn't reconcile anymore, then why did they still need to come stealthily to Agaphen City?

Sheldon still couldn't understand.

Just based on Tremaine and

Yesseca's relationship alone, Sheldon increasingly felt that the relationship between men and women was extremely complicated.

Yesseca danced along to the tune.

Although her body swayed to the music, her mind had long wandered off.

At this moment, she suddenly felt someone's gaze on her.

A gaze that was very familiar.

Yesseca subconsciously looked over. Immediately after, a figure flashed before her eyes.

Yesseca was stunned.

His blood seemed to have iced over in an instant.

She stretched out her hand and rubbed her eyes hard.

Only to discover that there wasn't a figure there at all.

Instinctively, Yesseca ran out.

Her supervisor saw Yesseca jump out of the lineup and proceeded to shout, "Yesseca, what are you doing! Come back! Who told you to run away?"

Yesseca rushed forward as if she didn't hear them.

She rushed all the way out of the shopping mall, but there was no sign of the figure she'd seen earlier.

Yesseca's footsteps trailed off to a stop.

Outside the mall, the cars were stuck in endless traffic, honks and the purr of their engines filled the air.

The crowd bustled about actively, yet she couldn't find that figure.

That figure of a familiar yet unfamiliar man.

Her eyes suddenly turned red at the edges and she had the impulse to cry.

Yesseca looked up at the sky.

The sunlight pierced her eyes.

She rubbed her eyes again.
