Chapter 66
Chapter 66 Leave At Once
Lulu got up from the floor angrily, pointed at Christopher, and snarled, "I've been around for so long and no one has dared to lay a finger on me. You have crossed yours truly today! I'm telling you, people like you cannot mess with me. I'm calling someone to whoop your ass. As for this wild brat that you're so concerned about, well, I'll beat her into a pulp right in front of your eyes."
As a matter of fact, Christopher had already calmed down and was about to leave with Erisa. Yet, Lulu had not only threatened him, but she had also called Erisa a wild brat and threatened to beat her up before his eyes, causing his fury to spring to life at once.
"Great, I want to see who you are summoning and who would dare to mess with me!" Christopher said frigidly, his face cold and dark.
The manager was really stunned. She had wanted to persuade Christopher to leave, but she did not expect this plainly-dressed young man to be so rigid. She vaguely felt that he was not as simple as he seemed and could feel the coldness in the tone of his voice as he spoke.
Erisa looked at Christopher anxiously, and he responded by stroking her head, saying, "It's okay. No one can bully you."
Lulu's anger spiked. She had never expected Christopher to be so stubborn or that he would dare to stay and wait.
She had spent her boyfriend's money on a new dress, but then she encountered this troublesome incident. To top it all off, she was slapped in the face.
If word got out about this, she would not be able to look anyone in the eye again.
"Okay, I'll make the call right now!"
Lulu took out her phone immediately and dialed her boyfriend's number. When the call was connected, she wept and said, "Amos, come quickly to the clothing store downstairs. Someone hit me. Be here in one minute, or else I'll break up with you."
Her boyfriend was Amos Brosnan. The family ran a small factory and earned millions a year. He usually hung out with a few men from wealthy families in Jadeborough. At that moment, he was having fun at Sky Dragon Bar on the top floor.
The moment he heard that his woman was beaten by someone, rage gripped him as he said to the few men, "You guys go on. Someone hit my girlfriend. I'm going down to take a look."
"Go ahead. Take two men from Sky Dragon Bar with you."
Amos grunted in reply and went to the door to get two staff members. When they saw him, they greeted him immediately, "Mr. Brosnan."
"Come on, go downstairs with me. My girlfriend got beaten up." Amos beckoned to the two men, and they went off with him.
In one minute, Amos and the two reached the clothing store downstairs. Seeing the crowd around him, he shouted, "You useless people, what are you looking at? Get out of here! Who is the one who hit my woman?"
When the shoppers saw this fashionably-dressed youth striding over accompanied by two men wearing the Sky Dragon Bar security guard uniform, they quickly moved away.
This was the commercial street of Golden Peace in Jadeborough, and the underground boss of this district was Malcolm Kirk!
Sky Dragon Bar belonged to Malcolm and so nobody would dare to cause trouble in Golden Peace.
"This guy is in big trouble. The girl's boyfriend knows people from Malcolm Group!"
"Yeah! In all of Golden Peace, no one messes with people from Malcolm Group. It's practically suicide!"
All the onlookers were sure that something horrible was going to befall Christopher. Even if he was wealthy, getting into an altercation with people from Sky Dragon Bar meant serious trouble!
When the manager saw the Sky Dragon Bar security guards coming into her store, she became anxious. In a low voice, she cautioned Christopher, "My young friend, these are people from Sky Dragon Bar. Take your sister and leave at once!"
Christopher sneered and replied with contempt, "Are the people from Sky Dragon Bar very powerful?"
"They are more than powerful. Their boss is infamous here, and my store has to pay them a yearly tribute," the manager said anxiously.
"Oh, I see. Nevertheless, I shall not be intimidated even if Malcolm himself turns up!"
A mere underground boss was simply in no position to show off in Christopher's presence.
