Chapter 2397
Trevor had tapped her forehead, saying, "What nonsense are you talking about? This is to make her happy. She once asked why I didn't keep her photos in my phone like her father. I said I wasn't her father, and she ignored me for a week."
"Sonia is so well-behaved; why would she make a scene?" Trevor had sighed. "She just ignores you and treats you like air. I talk a lot, but I'm most afraid of being treated like air. It's just a photo, so I kept it. It's pretty cute."
Stella snapped back to the present and glanced at Sonia. Why did it seem like she cared about that photo?
"Sonia," Stella called.
"What's wrong?" Sonia replied, frowning.
"Why did he put her photo in his wallet? He's not her father," Sonia asked.
Stella was speechless.
She coughed lightly, "You don't have to be a father to keep a photo."
"Then why did he keep it?" Sonia persisted.
"Can't you sense it?" Stella asked.
Sonia's emotional perception was usually dull, but her sense of smell was extremely sharp. Once, she had caught Keegan kissing Stella and commented on it in a matter-of-fact way.
"He likes you. He secretes pheromones to court you. But why is he so cold to you when facing Jaylene?" she had asked, leaving Stella almost spitting out water in surprise.
Despite her emotional dullness, Sonia could judge someone's mood by their pheromones.
Stella explained, "She is my brother's first love, someone who almost became our sister-in-law. I don't know how she got involved with Darcie. Anyway, try to avoid contact with her if you can."
Sonia stayed silent, lost in thought.
When the event ended, Darcie called Stella over.
"Stella, let me introduce Miss Craig to you."
Mallory smiled, "Mr. Saun, there's no need. I've met Miss Jewell before."
Darcie was surprised. "You have?"
Mallory nodded. "When I first came back, Trevor and Keegan helped pick me up. Miss Jewell was there too."
"Oh, that's great," Darcie said happily. "Assistant, please reserve a table at Cotton Rose Restaurant. Stella, call Trevor. Let's have a gathering at noon as a welcome party for Mallory."

Stella also wanted to leave, but Mallory called her, "Miss Jewell, can I invite you to lunch?"
Stella paused and nodded. "Sure, the western restaurant across the street. See you there at noon."
She needed to meet Mallory to understand her intentions.
