Chapter 239 My Mommy Didn't Care About It
"Nonsense!"
Rickey moved his crutch, but the sound was not loud. He frowned and looked at Daryl, saying angrily, "You did looked unhappy just now!"
Daryl touched her face doubtfully. She wondered whether she was really like that just now.
"Grandpa, you are wrong."
Daryl said quickly after she subdued her emotion.
"Why can you just admit that you are jealous?" Rickey was furious.
"Well, you are right."
Daryl was afraid that she would make Rickey mad again, so she admitted it eventually.
"Ha-ha, that's right!"
Rickey smoothed his beard and approached her. He smiled and said, "Do you think that Zack is more suitable for that girl?"
All of a sudden, Daryl felt that Rickey was here to give her a blow on purpose.
"Oh, yes. So what?"
She cupped her chin and said in a dissatisfied and helpless tone.
"Aren't you going to get Zack back?"
Rickey raised his eyebrows and asked, "You are his wife on his household register!"
Hearing this, Daryl thought that what Rickey said was a little reasonable, but soon she looked at him in confusion.
"Well, Grandpa, didn't you refuse to admit my identity in this family before?"
Rickey was stunned, and his face instantly darkened. He pretended to be serious and coughed, "Ahem, I'm just curious, but I didn't say that I would recognize you!" "Fine."
Daryl took a look at Rickey and felt that he was the same as Zack, who liked to say one thing and mean another.
"Okay, okay. We've been waiting for a long time. We can have dinner now."
After Karla finished her work, she called them to have dinner together.
Daryl stood up and was about to walk towards the dining table, but she saw Rylee pulled Alina to Zack, talking and laughing.
There was a flash of disappointment in her eyes. She knew what kind of person Zack was. If he didn't like someone, he would definitely stay away from them.
But he had never rejected Alina since he entered the room...
Somehow, a strange feeling flashed through Daryl's mind. She quickly subdued it and continued to follow Rickey towards the dining table.
"Oh, Zack, you can sit with Alina. Every time she comes to our house, she is always standing on ceremony and is too shy to pick up food with her chopsticks. It's convenient for you to take care of her if you sit next to her." Rylee said with a smug smile. After that, she specially looked in the direction of Daryl.
Unfortunately, Daryl looked indifferent and casually sat down next to the two kids, Benjamin and Westley.
Zack took a deep look at Daryl. Seeing that there was really no change in her expression, he felt even more aggrieved!
He had planned to ignore her for a while to see her response, but he didn't expect her to be so calm!
"What's wrong? Do you want to see her get angry and jealous?"
Alina whispered to him.
"No."
Zack denied.
"Not? You couldn't even take your eyes off her."
With a smile at the corners of her mouth, Alina teased, "Hey, are you really in love? That's a big news."
Glancing at her indifferently, Zack said, "As a guest, can you be quiet?"
"No."
The two of them were so close that they seemed to have a nice talk. People with discerning eyes knew that even Cannon couldn't move a cold and hard stone like Zack. But it seemed that Zack didn't reject Alina. What did it mean?
It seemed that he had a crush on Alina!
Daryl couldn't help but think too much.
"Mommy, why don't you sit next to daddy?"
Benjamin held her hand and whispered to her, "Daddy and Alina seem to have a good conversation!"
Daryl smiled helplessly and reached out to touch his little head. "Well, eat your food. Baby, don't think too much. It's your fathers business what he wants to do." "But Mommy..."
Benjamin wanted to say something more, but was pulled over by Westley.
Watching the interaction between the two kids, Daryl helplessly helped them set the dishes.
Soon, a rich and varied dinner was served on the table.
"Alina, I know you don't like meat, so I asked the kitchen to cook some vegetables for you. Have a taste and see if you like them."
Karla said to Alina with a gentle smile.
Upon hearing that, Alina nodded at her. "Thank you, Karla."
Seeing this, Rylee couldn't help saying, "Wow, Karla, you get along so well with Alina! Alina respect you a lot, and you take care of her so well. People who don't know it might think you two are the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. "That's right!"
Cannon rarely agreed with Rylee.
Daryl knew that these two people were saying it on purpose, but what did it have to do with her? Even if Zack really liked Alina, it had nothing to do with her.
After all, they were just in a contractual relationship.
"Wow, Bennie, your mommy is so calm."
Westley, the little fat guy, had no appetite after eating too much snacks. He didn't have two bites of his main meal, but leaned over to Benjamin and whispered to him. "When my mommy found that my daddy was very close to other women, she was so angry that she was about to lift the roof of our house."
Benjamin ate elegantly and slowly, just like his father. He calmly answered, "My mommy is cool with it."
"But my mommy said that she couldn't let other women appear beside my daddy.
Why doesn't your daddy sit with your mommy?" Westley asked in confusion.
This was really a difficult problem.
"Westley, let's eat."
Benjamin had no choice but to remind him, "Your mother will nag you if you can't finish the dishes later."
"Okay."
The little fat guy bent over the table and continued to eat the food on the plate. "Daryl, please have a taste of this dish."
Karla seemed to be able to take care of the feelings of the person who was left alone. She gently picked up a dish that was far away from Daryl. "Thank you."
Daryl thanked her politely and then lowered her head to eat.
Seeing this, Cannon could not help but snort coldly, "He doesn't want a noble lady of an eminent family, but a divorced actress!"
Zack's face darkened. When he was about to retort to Cannon in a cold voice, he was interrupted by another soft but calm voice.
"I have no choice. No matter how you object me or how you make a match between Zack and other people, Zack and I have gotten our marriage certificate, right?"
Daryl smiled faintly. "Cannon, I'll call you that for the time being. I thought you should have a good rest today since you are sick, but I didn't expect you would take delight in interfering with other's personal affairs. Don't you think it's a waste of time to argue with each other like that?"
