Married My Ex-husband’s Uncle Chapter 2
Chapter 2 Selling The Marital Home
Upon witnessing Sienna’s unsteady entrance, Matthias expressed concern with a frown. “Have you been drinking?” Sienna disregarded him, kicked off her high heels, wrapped herself in her coat, and collapsed onto the plush couch. Her current appearance did not present a favorable image. Then again, Matthias had witnessed her in such a pitiful and unfortunate state countless times before. Regardless of whether she appeared elegant and intellectual or coarse and arrogant, Matthias simply couldn’t be bothered to give her a second glance. Whatever, the marriage has ended anyway. Sienna was truly exhausted, both physically and mentally, and she had no desire to engage with her ex-husband. “What is it? Go ahead and say it.” Observing Sienna on the couch, Matthias noticed that her makeup was meticulously done. It was evident that she had just returned from a party. Matthias’ emotions were somewhat complicated. Initially, he assumed that Sienna, who had suffered a great blow, would be dispirited. Unexpectedly, she was actually doing quite well. Suppressing the slight discomfort in his heart, Matthias explained his purpose: “There was a slight issue with the project we collaborated on. Could you handle it when you have the time?” Before he could finish speaking, Sienna began to laugh sneeringly. “Me? Mr. Johanson, have you lost your mind? The project leader is that beloved sweetheart of yours, yet when problems arise, you send me, your ex-wife, to handle the mess. Do you think that’s fair?” Sienna grew irritated as she spoke. The project was something I painstakingly accomplished with my team, yet in the end, it’s callously taken away by Matthias, as if it’s a gift handed to him on a silver platter. This matter deeply wounded Sienna’s heart, ultimately leading her to make the firm decision to divorce and leave behind this *sshole. Now that the project was in trouble, Matthias audaciously sought help from her, his ex-wife. Moreover, he acted as if it was expected for Sienna to bail him out of this mess. Does he really think I’m still the same Sienna Ainsworth who was infatuated with him? Sienna turned around and walked away. At that moment, several individuals dressed in professional suits suddenly entered through the door, followed closely by a meticulously dressed middle-aged couple. The sudden intrusion of these strangers caused Matthias’ handsome face to darken. “Who are you? How did you get the keys to my house?” It was then that Sienna remembered. “They are from the real estate agency. I’ve already listed this house for sale.” Matthias could hardly believe what he had heard. “Sienna, you’re actually planning to sell our marital home?” Sienna raised her eyebrows. “Of course. We’re already divorced. Am I supposed to keep it around just to torment myself?” She no longer wanted anything to do with the house or the man. After leaving the marital home, Sienna dared not return to the Ainsworth residence. She dreaded facing her mother’s tears. Instead, she had Kaylee take her to Regalia Mansion. Regalia Mansion was her mother, Melanie Abbott’s, dowry, and now it had been passed on to her. Upon her return, the butler, Lucas Gulliver, personally stepped forward to take her coat. Then he instructed the housekeepers to prepare a bath and even lit her favorite fragrance for Sienna. As Sienna ascended the stairs, she casually removed her earrings and handed them to Kaylee, her voice filled with a languid tone. “I’m too tired. I need someone to give me a massage.” Kaylee followed closely by her side, carefully receiving the earrings, watch, and rings Sienna had taken off. “Okay, and I’ll bring you some yogurt shortly.” Sienna casually hummed in agreement. After taking a bath, she received a thorough massage from the massage therapist. The therapist was employed by the household, solely responsible for providing massages to Sienna. Even upon seeing the numerous marks covering her b*dy, the massage therapist merely paused slightly without uttering a word. After the massage and a full-b*dy treatment, Sienna fell asleep. Suddenly, her phone rang. As the person in charge of Ainsworth Group, she typically kept both of her phones on standby twenty-four hours a day. It was her private phone that was ringing. It was a message from an unfamiliar number: Where is your five-star review? Sienna gently typed on the screen of her phone: Five-star review? Two seconds passed, and suddenly, the memory of a pair of strong arms crashed into her mind. She asked Kaylee, who was next to her, “What’s the name of that person from last night? Kay…” She vaguely remembered the man’s name as it shared a similar first name with Kaylee. “Ms. Ainsworth, it was Kayden Schneider. You complimented him for living up to his name—young and gentle.” Sienna’s attractive almond-shaped eyes slightly narrowed. “Really? I can’t seem to remember.” Last night, her best friend, Stephanie Moore, celebrated Sienna’s divorce by taking her to Fantasia Club, where she ordered a lineup of young and handsome men. In the end, Sienna chose Kayden, who claimed to be a recent college graduate. He had a clean-cut appearance, and it was evident that he had yet to be influenced by the complexities of society. Later on, after getting drunk, unexpectedly, she ended up sleeping with him. Ah, so what if I’ve slept with him? I have no plans to marry again, anyway. Matthias had extinguished all her aspirations for love and marriage. Why don’t I find a companion to indulge and pamper me? If he doesn’t meet my expectations, I can simply replace him with another. Doesn’t that sound delightful? With this thought in mind, she instructed Kaylee, “Tell Kayden that I would like him to be my sugar baby. He will undergo a full-b*dy check-up, and he has to quit smoking.”
