Married at First Sight

Chapter 2071

“We were lucky that Serenity didn’t take it to heart. She didn’t get angry and managed to persuade Zack. Otherwise, Zack
would’ve gone on and on. It’s embarrassing for me, the father, to be scolded by my son like a child.”
Tania circled her husband’s arm with a smile. “You can have more of the food you like later to replenish your energy. You
defended me from Zack’s fury.”
She had brought the prescription from her family and hid it under the table. It was her mistake.
However, it caused her husband to be scolded along with her by their son. She had involved her husband in her trouble.
“Let’s go and eat.”
At that moment, Josh and Jasmine entered.
“Mr. and Mrs. York,” they greeted the elderly couple sweetly.
Tania and Liam invited them to head for dinner together.
Josh and Jasmine intended to spend their weekend at Wildridge Manor. As they were regular visitors, they made themselves at
home quickly and followed Tania and Liam to the dining area.
Although Zachary was unhappy, his friends were around, and his wife kept getting food for him. Therefore, he had no choice but
to behave and eat. He never argued about that topic again.
Half an hour after eating, he brought his wife out for a stroll.
Josh and Jasmine could sense that Zachary was irritated. However, Josh did not go after Zachary with Jasmine right away.
Instead, he remained in the house and chatted with Liam and Tania to get information out of them.
On the other hand, Callum brought Camryn back to his home.
His parents and brothers were not at home. When the butler saw Callum returning with Camryn, he quickly informed Callum’s
parents.
Not long after, Callum’s parents arrived in a rush.

Once they were back, Callum was pushed to a corner by his mother. She was exceptionally kind to her future daughter-in-law. It
was as if Camryn was her biological child while he was merely a free gift.
“Camryn, stay for a few more days to keep me company this time.”
Rosella held onto Camryn’s hands and refused to let go. Her gaze toward Camryn was as gentle as a flowing river.
Then, she scolded her son, “You didn’t inform me beforehand that you were coming back. I could’ve told the kitchen to prepare
Camryn’s favorite food.”
Callum said, “We only returned because Zachary and Serenity said they were coming back. We had dinner at Uncle Liam’s
place. Aunt Tania had already asked the kitchen to prepare lots of tasty food. You don’t have to worry that your daughter-in-law
will go hungry, Mom. On the other hand, I think I’m not full yet.”
He had been taking care of Camryn.
He felt happy when he saw Camryn was eating well and forgot to fill his stomach.
Rosella waved her hand like she was chasing a mosquito away. She said in distaste, “Go. If you’re not full, go to the kitchen and
find instant food yourself. You’re already an adult. Do you still need your parents worrying about whether you’ve eaten your fill?”
Callum said, “Camryn is an adult too, but you were worried if she had eaten.”
“How are you comparable to her? Step aside. Don’t interrupt us talking. Ignore him, Camryn. Let’s have a chat.”
“I don’t know who your biological child is now. You look at me with such distaste, but your gaze is so soft when you see your
future daughter-in-law. I guess you weren’t even this gentle when you were madly in love with Dad.”
Martin, Callum’s dad, chimed in, “That’s right. Your mom had never been this gentle to me. It’s too bad that you weren’t a
daughter, Callum. If you were a girl, your mom would definitely adore you.”
Camryn smiled and said, “You must be reasonable, Callum. Mom’s nice to you too.”
She liked everyone in the York family and their family’s atmosphere.
