LUNA: The Invisible Princess

Chapter 36: Secrets Unfold Part 1

[Luna]

I feel so light.

Hm, it’s so soft.

I slowly open my eyes and blink multiple times. When I finally adjusted my sight, my forehead creased in confusion.

Where am I?

This is not my and Leena’s room. The room is pure white and all the furniture is white. And the cleanliness blinded me; and my jaw dropped when I scanned my gaze around.

I’ve never seen a room that is so white as clouds—blinding and magical. It’s like I’m in heaven.

Wait, what?

I’m not in heaven, right?

I frowned, and my heart skipped a beat. I got up from the soft, feathery, and fluffy white bed; and scanned the room once more.

When I look in the mirror, I gasp in awe. I wore a white long dress like a goddess that accentuated my ethereal figure. My long white hair is kept beautifully and the different exquisite accessories hang elegantly. What made my jaw drop was my new appearance; like I transformed into a completely different person. I didn’t think I could be more beautiful than I ever was. Truly, I really look like a goddess.

I saw a door and walked through it with anticipation. Without hesitating, I opened the door and a yelp let out of my mouth when I almost fell if I wasn’t a second too late to back away. Who would have thought that the room I was in was floating in the air?

“What the eff?!” I let out with my eyes widened in shock.

Why am I here? I mean, where am I?

“Oh, my! You’re awake!” a cheerful voice echoed and snapped me out of my daze, startling the life out of me. The small hair on my body rose upon sensing the intimidating aura. Since I was at the edge of the door, I fell over when I jumped slightly in surprise. It’s already too late to balance my body.

“Wahhh,” I couldn’t help but scream in horror.

For the love of god, who spoke just now?!

I immediately spread my wings wide open to balance myself and sighed in relief.

“Ah, hehe. I’m sorry if I surprised you!” said an exquisite woman who was floating in front of me while smiling sweetly. Her ethereal appearance and intimidating aura dazzled me, which rendered me speechless for a while. “I’m Aphrodite! Nice to meet you, Luna!”

My eyes widened as I recognized the woman in front of me.

I’m speechless. Then I cleared my throat and uttered unbelievably, “Aphrodite? As in the Goddess of Love, Sex, and Beauty? Woah!”

My eyes shone with excitement.

She laughed out loud and nodded. She engulfed me in her warm, welcoming embrace and planted a kiss on my forehead. Then a light envelopes me for 10 seconds. “Come with me. The others are waiting for you...” she said softly and held my arm passionately.

Without waiting for my response, she waved her hand, and we were suddenly in an enormous hall. The hall is as vast as the size of a city; and the ceiling is as high as the sky.

On the higher platform sat twelve enormous throne chairs—scream elegance and power—the chairs of the Council of the Gods and Goddesses. It was a magnetic sight to behold.

Ten beautiful and majestic people occupied the seats all of a sudden. Goddess Aphrodite vanished beside me and before I knew it, she already sat in her respective seat, leaving me alone at the center, staring blankly at all of them. My brain buzzes and my heartbeat racing at the sight before me.

My eyes widened when I saw my one and only grandmother, Goddess Luna, or shall I say, Goddess Artemis. She smiled at me with a relieved expression on her face.

Combining all their heavenly presence, I felt intimidated at the same time, in awe. Who would have imagined that I would get to meet the legendary gods?

For some reason, my heart skips a beat while looking at each one of them like I have known them my whole life. It’s weird to say I feel at ease with their majestic presence.

What baffled me was I recognized them all. There was Apollo, Hera, Athena, Ares, Aphrodite, Demeter, Dionysus, Hermes, Poseidon, and the high and mighty—Zeus—who was seated in the center.

There’s an empty seat next to God Zeus. I think it’s God Hades’ seat whose presence is unknown.

A force drags me towards the platform and now I can see their appearance clearly. When my gaze met God Zeus, a shiver ran down my spine. His gaze is like flames of fire—as fierce as a lion—and his serious demeanor shakes my soul.

He is indeed the mighty Zeus—so intimidating and powerful. Facing him feels like I’m facing a gigantic mountain as high as the sky. I felt so small.

To my surprise, all the gods stood up together with a smile. These gods look like a tall tower standing in front of me—so high and majestic.

“Let’s welcome the birth of the new god!” God Zeus suddenly declared while staring at me. I stood rooted to the ground and quivered.

New God? What?

I blink my eyes multiple times incredulously.

All of them welcome me with warm smiles. Each of them kisses my forehead as a form of acceptance. Then, my body shines like the sun, but it only lasts for 20 seconds.

“We finally met, the chosen one,” said God Zeus.

I furrowed my eyebrows together. “Chosen one?” I asked in astonishment.

“Yes, it’s time for you to know the truth about your entire being,” he says.

Huh? I don’t get it. What is the truth about my entire being?

“I know you’re confused, but let us explain.”

I nodded reluctantly. I glanced at Grandma Luna, and she also had a look of confusion on her face, like me.

God Zeus cleared his throat and explained, “Long time ago, Goddess Artemis or Luna broke the sacred rule and that is not to fall in love with a gifted human. However, she broke the rules, as a consequence, she was forbidden to go down again and was locked up on the moon. But Hades was opposed to the idea because he loves Artemis. He can’t accept Artemis being locked up, so he went to rebel. To get to us, he convinces the demons to attack the magic users, but they lose the war. As for Hades, we locked him up in the underworld too, however, he’s too powerful and he manages to break the seal. We knew he didn’t take any defeat and was planning to take revenge, and so did the demons. So, we come up with a plan to stop Hades from his plan to take control of the whole magic world and the throne. We combine all our powers and put them in the seed to grow. We created a powerful seed and planted it inside the womb of a pregnant woman. And that woman happens to be the Queen of the Faraway Kingdom...”

I was shocked at the revelations. My brain couldn’t seem to absorb all the words God Zeus said. After a while, it sank into my brain and I was stunned, nervous, and in disbelief at what he might say. I don’t want to think about the last sentence he said, but it kept playing in my head like a song.

However, I was too shocked to utter a word. I’m so confused.

God Zeus continued. “We were watching when the queen gave birth. To be honest, we were completely surprised when you came out as invisible. Because there is nothing wrong with the seed. That makes you special, Luna. Well, it’s because the God of Everything chose you... and your twin, too. It just so happens that you are the most fortunate one. You are the next guardian of the entire universe. So… welcome to Olympus, Goddess Luna Syesha, the Goddess of Creation and Universe!”

They all applauded and engulfed me in an embrace as they welcomed me wholeheartedly, like I’m their missing daughter or something.

The truth baffled me so much that rendered me speechless and immobile. That was just the most shocking thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. It is so unbelievable. Me? A Goddess? Are you kidding me? This is insane!

A little while later, I found my voice. “Y-You’re just pulling my leg, right? This is just a dream...” I uttered as I’m trying to convince myself.

I looked at Grandma, and she has the same expression as mine. She also does not know everything that God Zeus said.

The others just smiled at me, including God Zeus.

Goddess Athena caressed my face gently and said, “My dear, this is reality. You were born to be a god.”

“Am I... no—I mean… Is Queen Lumeena still my mother? She’s my mother, right? Tell me, I’m her daughter...” I said as tears threatened to fall. I’m not just a seed. I came from my mother’s womb and I have my parent’s blood and flesh.

“Of course, she is still your mother. She carried you for nine months. As we told you, you are the chosen one.” said God Poseidon with a warm smile. I sighed in relief.

I smiled. “That’s all I wanted to hear. That I am still my mother’s daughter...”

They all smiled at me.

But I still can’t believe it though. The revelation is just too much, and it’s hard to accept the truth.
