Today was Thanksgiving, and her parents had finally come to visit. She didn't want to worry them.

parents away.

Once they were gone, she faced Alex in the living room. "What do you want??"

Alex stood in the middle of the room, eyes downcast as he stared at Ellie, "Ellie, I don't want to argue with you. If you don't want to go to the press conferee, fine, just record a short video now."

Ellie raised an eyebrow in disbelief. Alex pressed on, "Just say that the videos and photos circulating online were jokes you made with Haley while bored. The injuries on you are fake, and you and Haley are friends. It's all a misunderstanding. That won't cost you anything!"

Before Ellie could even respond, he continued, "Also, refuse my grandfather and my parents. You can't join my family!"

"I can't do any of that!" Ellie shot back without a second thought!

The only reason she agreed to help Haley at the press conference was out of necessity. With the crisis over and with Nancy's help, there was no way she was going to tangle herself up in this mess again. The more Alex and Haley pressured her, the more determined she felt to get into the Warren, family!

Alex reached for Ellie's wrist, but she managed to pull back just in time

His frustration was rising, and his tone grew sharper. "Don't think that just because my mom is on your side, you can do whatever you want. You better think carefully before you answer me!" Ellse didn't say anything and picked up her phone to call Nancy

Alex, irritated, watched Ellie did his mom's number and quickly stepped forward to snatch the phone from her hand, turning it off in one swift

motion.

With a loud smack, he hurled Ellie's phone across the room.

The phone crashed against the wall before falling to the floor, shattering into pieces

Ellie stared at her broken phone, her gaze locking onto Alex with determination. She pointed toward the balcony. "Even if you throw me off this thing I will never agree to anything you say!" toward her.
