Chapter 110
Chapter 110
"Do you believe her lying tongue? Just take a look at the look that was hanging on her face, the smile on her lips. She certainly has something to do with it." Miles said.
"I don't believe her now. The only thing that we can lay our hands on is our instincts. But nobody is going to listen to that. It's going to sound way too absurd." Michael explained to his Twin brother, Miles.
"So what do you suggest that we do now?" Miles inquired with a worried look hanging on his face.
"If she is the one that did such a thing to her sister. We cannot let her go unpunished." He growled.
"I know that but for us to take any reasonable action against her. We need evidence to back up our claim about what we think." Michael revealed and Miles nodded his head, acknowledging the truth about wha Michael just said.
There was a deep silence as they stood there for a while without spitting out a single word from their mouths. It was ast though their head went blank and they didn't know what to do or exactly where to start from.
"Wait, I have an idea, Miles noted, finally breaking the overwhelming silence that was about to engulf the whole room.
"What do you suggest? What is your plan?" Michael inquired.
"We are going to get a secret plan to watch every single step that she is going to take this time. Everyone that she is going to talk to. I think that we are going to get a clue about what is going on from there.” Miles explained and Michael nodded his head.
The plan sounds so perfect but they needed someone that was perfectly going to fit into this plan.
"I have someone, Michael said almost in a whisper. "And I can assure you that he is really good and he is going to give us a perfect result." He assured Miles.
He brought out his phone from his pocket and punched a number into it as soon as he could.
The caller from the other end picked up the call immediately as though he was already expecting the call.
"Hey, Don Michael was the first to speak up.
"Good day, Alpha Michael. He greeted the Alpha of his pack.
"I have a job for you Don and I know you're the perfect person for it. He explained. I know that you always give a perfect job but I want you to give more." Michael pleaded.
"I don't need to hear the details of it. Consider it done already. He assured me.
Meanwhile, Kayla stood before her sister and her father Ray walked over to her and shot a really weird stare at her that made her eyebrow farrow.
"What's wrong, Dad?" She inquired staring right into his eyes.
"Tell me the truth, Kayla. They are no longer around, so you can talk to me. Do you have anything to do with this?" He inquired
"Dad, what are you talking about? I don't understand a single word of what it is you are saying exactly."
"Don't play dumb with me and answer me Kayla." He yelled.
"If you don't want to tell me exactly what you're talking about dad, then we would have to forget about this discussion."
Kayla blurted out.
She understood what her father was talking about perfectly well. She was only irritated about the fact that they were always pointing at her.
"You know what I mean, Kayla. I am talking about Alexia. What did you do to her? You were the one that poisoned her right, weren't you?." He said, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I don't know a single thing about what you are talking about father, and I can never do such a horrible thing to my s Why will I even think about such a thing?" She returned as tears started dripping down from her eyes.
sister.
But her father knew better than to believe those tears of hers. He drew closely towards her and she fell backwards slowly.
She continued to move backward until there was nowhere else for her to go and she knew now that she had to face her father head on.
"And what do you think? That I am going to believe you and those tears of yours? You should know better, Kayla. I knew you right from when you were young. He growled and he pulled away from her slowly. She was already gasping for breath like someone that just finished a race and she let out a really deep sigh of relief.
"I just have one thing that I am going to tell you and I hope that you use it wisely."
"And what would that be? I wonder why you are believing them over me even after I have told you that I know nothing about it. She blurted out.
"Not another word from you, Kayla. It's because I already know you and I know what you can do. But that aside, you know Michael and Miles right and you know that they will never back out of their words. They have already told you. If they find out that you have anything to do with this, they are going to kill you."
"And why are you telling me about this Dad?" Kayla inquired.
"Just so that you will be prepared for what is coming in for you."
Kayla walked home slowly with a dark smile hanging on her lips.
"She is so stupid to think that I was going to let her go like that after everything that she has done to me in the past." A burst of dark laughter escaped from her mouth.
"And what about your father, Michael, and Miles and the threats that they have issued? How are you going to deal with that?" The sound of her wolf shattered in her head.
"Don't you worry about that Helena, I already got that covered. And besides, How are they ever going to know that I was the one that did it? Besides, Chyna did a great job and I am so sure that it is never going to be traced to me. She filed out as she continued to walk.
But while she continued to walk, she heard a strange sound from behind and she turned around to see who it was, but there was nobody there.
"There is nobody behind you Kayla, you are only being paranoid." Her subconsciousness yelled out from the inside of her and she drew a really deep breath and turned around.
While she continued to walk, she heard her phone beeping and she reached out
it almost immediately.
"And who could that be now?" She thought in her head confused.
But when she eventually got the phone, she discovered that it was not a call but a text message.
She read through it swiftly only to notice that it was to remember that she had plan to go and repay the she wolf for a job
well done.
"Oh shit. I almost forgot about this." She growled in her head
When she eventually got home, she got the money that she would need to repay her from her savings.
She lived at the outskirts of the pack, so the journey down there was going to be a pretty long one.
While the driver drove, she paired out through the window and the thought of her sister flashed through.
A dark frown formed on her lips almost immediately and she clutched her hands to control it.
Her sister had always been a torn on her flesh right from the very day that she set her feet on the surface of the earth.
She was endowed with so much beauty by the moon goddess and with everyone flocking around her, she felt so left out and that was the brooding period for her hate and her disgust fo develop. Soon, it would be all over. She would be dead and for the first time since she was born, she was going to get the chance to enjoy her life, just like it should be.
"We are here already. The driver announced, snapping her off her thoughts.
"Oh, Okay." She explained and got down from the cab, paying him off for his services.
She saw her house just a few meters away and a dark smile hovered on her lips.
She got to the door and tapped. At first, there was no response so she had to tap on the door again.
"Who is that? A voice sprang up from the other end of the door.
"It's I, Kayla." She said. The short conversation was followed by the sharp patter of feet and the door made a cracking sound.
The door parted open but immediately the wolf saw her, her face was overtaken with dread and she shivered hard with fear.
"What are you doing here?" Her words broke into a stutter.
"Please I don't want to get into any trouble. She said and shot the door almost immediately.
Kayla stood there for a while, lost in bewilderment but there was one thing that she was not going to do, leave there without paying her off.
She had done a perfect job already. She kept tapping on the door until the she-wolf was forced to open up the door again.
"At least can I come in?" Kayla inquired but the wolf shook her head.
"No, say what you want to say here."
Kayla didn't say any word further, she brought out a bundle of cases from her pocket and a gasp escaped from the lips of the wolf as she snatched the money away from her.
A dark smile hovered on Kayla's lips as she already knew that she would not be able to resist the money.
"But.. the wolf wanted to say but she stopped her.
"No buts. That is for a job perfectly done." She smiled in a very evil manner.
The she-wolf stared at the money in her hands and looked back at her. "I don't feel good about this. What you made me do
was so wrong." She said.
"Don't worry dear. You can give half of the money to the poor and you will be forgiven by the moon goddess. But make sure that you
don't mention a single word of it to anyone. You know what we are going to get into a very big trouble if a single word of this spills out."
"I didn't only pay you for the job, I also paid you to keep your mouth shut, so you better do a good job." Kayla tapped the she-wolf on her shoulders and stared right into her eyes while she shivered hard with fear.
"Don't worry, I know you have done a great job so you only have to keep up with it."
