Chapter 26: It's Dark Cuisine
Soon the food was on the table. Spencer smiled with satisfaction, and asked Ivy to tell them down for dinner. It didn't take long for Lukas and Harris to go downstairs. Lukas sat next to Spencer and Harris stood aside. When Lukas saw Spencer, he couldn't help but teased her, "Your makeup is very special. Pretty good!" Spencer was taken aback. She didn't have makeup at all, and she didn't have the habit of makeup. At this time, someone laughed.
She looked around in confusion, and saw Harris grinning. Then she found Ivy and the maids who were next to her were all laughing, as if they were laughing because of what Lukas said. Was there anything dirty on her face?
She got up and wanted to go to the bathroom and look in the mirror to see if she had soiled her face when she was just cooking. Otherwise, why did they laugh?
However, when she just got up, someone grabbed her with one hand. She followed the slender white arms and looked over, and saw a smile on that perfectly handsome face. The man with that handsome face said, "Your makeup is pretty good. Let's eat."
Spencer's heart throbbed. She thought of what he said at the school gate in the morning. He said he was not a gay.
In other words, he was heterosexual.
Thinking of this, Spencer felt that her heart was beating a little faster. She drew her hand out quickly and sat on the chair. "Okay. Let's eat first."
Her hurried movements made him raise his eyebrows. He had said he was not a gay, why did she keep avoiding him?
It seemed that he needed to let her know that he was really a normal man.
Spencer exhaled heavily, and then smiled at him to please him.
She opened the dish closest to him and put the lid aside.
Then she helped him with a piece naturally, put it in his bowl, and looked at him expectantly, " Have a taste. This is what I carefully prepared for you." Seeing the contents in the bowl, he couldn't help but twitched the corners of his mouth. He raised his head and asked her, "What is this?"
Spencer thought he must be surprised, since she could cook his favorite dish. He must be particularly moved now.
She blinked her big cute eyes and said in a sweet voice, "Of course it's your favorite Litchi Meat (a name of a dish)."
Why did the Litchi Meat look like this?
He asked, "Have you never eaten Litchi Meat?"
Spencer shook her head, let alone this dish, she had never eaten any of the dishes he loved.
Lukas figured it out.
Seeing that he hadn't tasted anything yet, she couldn't help but urge him, "Hurry up and eat, you should be starving after waiting for so long."
It took her more than three hours to cook, he must be very hungry.
Originally, Lukas was looking forward to her dinner. He lost his appetite when he saw this dish. Let alone the other dishes, he didn't want to see them. However, she would probably not cook for him if he didn't eat it. He would have to eat it no matter how unpalatable the food she cooked was. Thinking about this, he took a piece into his mouth in her expectant gazes.
The stomach inside his body couldn't help tumbling. He pressed the feeling of vomiting, and ate with no expression on his face.
Harris frowned behind him. He thought Mr. Lukas' sacrifice was really too great.
Seeing that he finally ate, Spencer asked happily, "It's delicious, isn't it? Isn't it delicious? It's great, right?"
Before he could speak, she opened the lids of the other dishes quickly, and the maid stepped forward and took the lids away.
As she opened the dishes, she said, "These are all your favorite dishes."
When the lids were all taken away, everyone except Spencer sighed.
Spencer kept staring at Lukas, otherwise she would definitely find that their expressions were a little abnormal.
Harris looked at Lukas sympathetically.
Ivy and the maids were a little trembling. As usual, Lukas would be very angry, set the table, and fire them.
They looked over with a little nervousness. Then, they were shocked, since Lukas was not angry at all.
He was just eating blankly, and was not displeased at all. Except that he ate less than usual, he was not different from usual.
They couldn't help but wonder if the dishes tasted really good?
Spencer watched him eating for a while, and asked, "How is it? Are you in a good mood?"
He said with a cold voice, "No."
She tilted her head and muttered, "Why? These are your favorite dishes. Shouldn't you be very happy?"
After thinking about it for a while, she kept getting food for him.
"Come on. Let me get food for you. You can eat more and you will feel better when you are full."
His bowl was quickly filled.
Seeing the dark cuisine, Lukas frowned, and finally couldn't help it.
He put down the chopsticks and got up, "I'm full."
After speaking, he went straight upstairs with his slender legs.
Spencer's hand holding the food stopped in the air. Looking at his cold back, she was stunned.
Was he full with little food?
Why did she think he seemed unhappy, was it her illusion?
She grabbed Harris who was about to go upstairs and asked blankly, "What's wrong with him?"
Harris turned his head, feeling speechless. He didn't know why Spencer who looked very smart was so silly at this time.
"It's because your dishes. They are dark cuisines."
Spencer's heart sank. It was not so miserable, right?
Seeing that Harris wanted to leave, she hurriedly grabbed his hand, "Make it clear, is the food I cooked so miserable?" Upon hearing this, Ivy and the maids nodded subconsciously.
Harris sighed. Originally, he didn't want to knock her confidence. After all, even Lukas could endure it.
Then he said in obvious disgust, "No dish is decent. It is either burnt or not cooked. It's strange if someone can eat it." She augured back angrily, "Your young master ate."
Harris, "..."
Although it was the first time to cook, she thought it was okay. Although it was a bit worse than the restaurant, it was not as terrible as he said. However, thinking of Lukas' looks, she was a little uncertain.
Spencer let go of Harris' hand, pinched a piece of meat into her mouth casually. Then she chewed it and her looked changed instantly... She couldn't stand it and threw it out with an ugly look.
After receiving the water glass that Harris handed over, she drank a lot of water before she felt more comfortable in her mouth. "Why is it so unpalatable?"
It was really hard for him to eat so much. She couldn't even eat it at all. It was really dark cuisine.
Harris said, "Now, you know that no one can eat it anymore."
Upon hearing Harris' words, Spencer refuted him instinctively, "Your young master ate it."
Harris gulped. He could only explain that Lukas was more tolerant than most people.
Spencer weakened and fell into a chair. That was too bad. It was so unpalatable. Lukas must be in a worse mood.
At first, she felt very proud and a sense of accomplishment. After tasting it, she knew how much she failed.
She just couldn't figure it out. Why did it taste so bad?
"I cooked according to the names of the dish you said. I also asked Ivy about the ingredients and methods before I cooked. Why was it so unpalatable?"
Harris looked at her lost look, and felt a little unbearable.
With the love of Master Sharp, she must have been cooking for the first time.
Harris thought she cooked for Lukas meant that she was concerned about Mr. Lukas. He had to talk to Miss Spencer about the dishes and let her be careful when she cooked next time. But he should be more serious, so that Spencer would pay more attention to it.
Spencer was discouraged and lying on the table. Then she saw Harris pointing to the dishes on the table and saying, "The abalone's shell should be removed."
She became unconvinced immediately, "It can be removed while eating."
Harris didn't argue with her, and pointed to another dish, "The bream's scales are still there."
"Isn't it edible?"
She remembered some fish didn't have to scale. Did this fish have to scale?
Harris was angry, "You have to scrape the scales off bream. And you didn't cut the chicken and turtle. You just put the whole chicken and turtle to stew, and it's not cooked. Who can eat it?" "Isn't it easier to put the whole chicken and turtle down. The two are too much trouble to cut."
Her momentum became weak. It was true that the dish was not cooked. She just clipped it, and it turned out that she couldn't get it.
Harris was extremely angry. Did she want to ask Mr. Lukas to hold the whole chicken and bite?
Or take the whole turtle?
"And this one..."
Before he finished speaking, Spencer said hurriedly, "I know it. It is not wrong. I peeled and shelled litchi before putting it into the pot for frying. The method and steps are taught by Ivy step by step." Spencer sat up straight. She felt at least this dish was OK.
She had just regained a little sense of comfort when she heard Ivy said wrongly, "I didn't know that the meat you use is litchi." "Litchi Meat is made of pork. The pork is made into litchi like. Because the shape and taste are similar, so it is called Litchi Meat." Hearing Harris' words, Spencer was completely discouraged.
He talked about the problems with the remaining few dishes. Spencer had nothing to say. There was really no decent one.
"It seems that I am not cut to be a cook."
Ivy and the maids were afraid to laugh at first, but finally couldn't help laughing when they heard her self-deprecating words.
Ivy raised her head and glanced at them, then lay on the table again.
Harris went upstairs after commenting on the dishes. After walking a few steps, he turned his head suddenly, "You had better go and wash your face, Miss Spencer. Your room is already set up and it is next to Mr. Lukas'." After finishing speaking, he went upstairs.
Ivy and the maids laughed again.
Spencer was stunned for a moment. Was there really anything dirty on her face?
She walked upstairs slowly, and didn't hear Ivy comforting her from behind.
At this moment, what she thought in her mind was not the problem of the face, nor the problem of the food.
She was thinking about she was done.
Lukas must be in a bad mood at this time. She didn't dare to mention to him about attending Charlotte's engagement banquet.
It was all because of her self-defeating behavior. She might have to go alone.
When Spencer arrived upstairs, she stopped at the door of Lukas' room instinctively. As soon as she wanted to open the door, she thought of that Harris said her room was next to Lukas'.
She walked again, opened the door, closed the door, turned around, looked up, and was stunned when she saw the contents of the room.☐☐☐☐☐
