Love at First Night (Frank and Judith)

Chapter 19

Chapter 19
Edwin walked into the office and meaningfully looked at Frank, who was immersed in loneliness. Gary told Edwin that Frank had
been missing Jodie the whole night.
Edwin remembered Jodie. She was a pretty girl with clear and big eyes. The Chaney family and the Taylor family were
neighbors. When Frank was unhappy, Jodie would try to make him happy. Frank liked her very much. However, it was because
of Frank that Jodie disappeared. Nothing could relieve his terrible sense of blame. Edwin walked over to Frank and said slowly,
“Frank, Miss Chaney called again and asked when you would you be there. She said that the two families were going to discuss
your marriage.” Frank took a glance at Edwin with deep-set eyes and said coldly, “An adopted daughter wants to marry me in
place of Jodie. Don’t you think the Chaney family is ridiculous?” Edwin answered, “Since you don’t want to go there, I’ll call to
refuse her later.” “Well.” Frank became sullen. He knew Gina hoped he could be there, but he would not be obedient to
her.
She had robbed his mother’s everything, and his mother had disappeared because of her. Therefore, Frank decided to get even
with Gina sooner or later. The car accident that happened the day before was not a coincidence. Gary had investigated it. And
because of Gina, Frank had lost a lot. Edwin had no intention of leaving. Frank raised his eyebrow and looked at him with
displeasure. Then, he said indifferently, “What else?” Edwin continued unhurriedly, “Hana said that she wanted to get married
and would not be back. She informed us to find someone to take over her job.” Frank smiled and said, “Looks like Hana is
serious this time. She even chased after the man and is about to get married. “However, I don’t know if the man deserves her. I
had seen him before, and he’s not that good. I hope she can live a happy life. “Ask her when they will get married. She had
worked in the company for three years and made a lot of profits. We should send her a present.” Edwin smiled and nodded, and
his voice was warm and pleasant. “Sure. I have told her about Judith. She said that she knew Judith and liked her design
philosophy very much. She believed Judith would be qualified for the position.” Frank nodded. When he thought about Judith, he
had a strange feeling. Especially her eyes, he was fascinated with them. Frank squinted and smiled evilly. “Tell Judith to come to
my office. I will talk to her.” He had to admit that he had been attracted and persuaded by her vivid explanation in the morning.
Judith was the first person that to be able to get Frank’s approval at the first round of draft reviews. Edwin nodded and did not
say a word when he saw Frank’s smile. He turned around and smiled too. He became somewhat excited because he knew the
work might be interesting in the future. He walked out elegantly. Frank stared behind him and frowned. He picked up the
document on his desk and waved it at Edwin’s back, but he did not throw it out. He wondered why Edwin liked pretending and
that why he pretended to be proud in front of him. How could Edwin be less talkative than him?
