Love and Fortune A Gamble for Two (Angela and Chester)

Angela and Chester Chapter 95

Chapter 95

Angelina's plan to pursue design was no longer a secret. Chester had discovered it and given her a lot of encouragement.

She had a feeling that if she backed out or decided to do something else, he'd mock her for the rest of her life.

Since she was a prideful person, she was determined to be successful. Besides, she was genuinely interested in fashion design. Her childhood dream was to become a fashion designer and make gorgeous outfits. Chester took her to the studio, and Angelina shut herself in a small room.

The space was nearly anything, with a single window that seemed unnecessary. She grabbed a few sheets of paper and started sketching.

Chester had left the studio for some work, so Joshua came to drop off some food.

"Mr. Whitmore bought this for you."

"What is this place? I don't remember being here before."

It was the basement. But since she hadn't worked in the studio before, it made sense that she

wasn't familiar with the place.

"This is where Mr. Whitmore rests." He pointed to the couch nearby. "During the last push before the software lunch, he stayed with her all night, working on a lot of finer details."

The couch was made of upholstered fabric and wasn't very clean. The material showed subtle

traces of wear and discoloration, with a layer of cotton cloth spread over it.

So this was where Chester would sleep when tired. Angelina couldn't help but glance over a couple more times.

"I'll leave you to your task. Let me know if you need anything."

"Joshua, wait a moment!"

"Yes?"

She opened her lips to speak but stopped herself. If she brought up her concerns, it would basically expose that she cared about Chester.

"It's nothing." She cleared her throat.

While Chester was out, he went to pick up Catherine from Alexander.

Alexander didn't care about his image as he directly brought Catherine to the office. A reporter even managed to capture a blurry silhouette of the two. Chapter 95

By mid-noon, Brookhaven was

buzzing with a hot headline. "Mret

Hunt was seen with an illegitimate child while the mother's identity remained a mystery."

But Alexander didn't seem to care at all, as he wasn't afraid of baseless speculation. However, Hunt Group was abuzz with rumors. Everyone was gossiping about the matter.

Tony couldn't hold back. "Mr. Hunt, should I say something in the company group chat? Maybe clarify the situation?"

"What is there to clarify?"

"It's bad for the company's image. It's even on the news now."

"Let it be on the news. As long as they don't photograph Catherine's face, it's fine."

"But..."

"Are you planning to take charge of me?"

"No, I wouldn't dare."

"Here, have my position. That way, you can make decisions for me."

Tony immediately shut his mouth and didn't say another word.

It was nearly noon when Chester arrived. Alexander was holding a milk bottle, feeding

Catherine.

Whether Megan bore a child five years now or ten years now, she was bound to eventually. In the meantime, Alexander figured he might as well practice.

Halfway through feeding, he glanced

down at the baby. His large hand supported her little bottom, and even through the blanket, he could catch faint whiffs of her milk-baby scent.

The sight made Chester uneasy. He rushed forward and took the milk bottle.

Catherine, still hungry, twisted her face in protest, turning red as she prepared to cry. Seconds later, a loud wail erupted.

"Chester, give it to me."

"She's mine."

Chester took Catherine from Alexander and began feeding her himself.

With his hands empty, Alexander felt an odd pang of emptiness in his chest. "Why are you so early?"

"If I didn't come now, my daughter would've become yours."

"We're friends. There's no need to be so petty."

When Chester left with Catherine, everyone in the office stared at him with shock.
