Love and Fortune A Gamble for Two (Angela and Chester)

Angela and Chester Chapter 92

Chapter 92

Chester held her hand and said, "It's my fault today. I'll be more careful next time."

Exhausted, Angelina fell asleep in his arms after taking her medication.

Meanwhile, Alexander stayed up all night taking care of Catherine. She was unusually well-behaved, resting quietly in his arms. Although the nanny was there to feed her, he insisted on doing everything himself. The next morning, when Tony came to see Alexander, he was sitting in the garden, holding Catherine and sipping coffee.

"Hey, Tony."

"Good morning, Mr. Hunt. Did you have a good rest last night?"

"It's not bad," Alexander replied casually, despite the dark circles under his eyes that

screamed otherwise.

""Children can be quite a handful. Mr. Hunt, you can..."

"No. They're not a trouble at all. They're the most adorable creatures in the world."

"Yes. They're adorable indeed."

"Look at her. Do you think she looks a little like me?"

Upon hearing his question, Tony was left speechless. "I'm afraid Mr. Whitmore might come after you if he heard your words."

"That's not what I meant. Of course, the child belonged to him. But don't you think she looks a little like me?"

Tony chuckled and replied, "Not at all."

That wasn't the answer Alexander was looking for. "Are you blind?"

"Maybe. Possibly. Could be."

On the other hand, Louis had been drunk the whole night. After causing a scene at the hospital, he clutched onto the paper and cried for a long time before his subordinates carried him back to his home.

Even after returning home, he cried for a long time before falling asleep, murmuring Angelina's name in his sleep.

When he finally woke up, he groggily rubbed his temples and faintly remembered the foggy memories in his head.

In Louis' dream, he was back in high school. A pair of pale, delicate hands would hand him a

carton of milk every day. During winter, the milk was warm.

"Angelina, you don't have to bring me milk every day. It's a lot of trouble," he said, feeling shy.

"It's no trouble. Just drink it, Louis."

The warmth of that milk had seeped into his heart. Now, standing in his kitchen, Louis poured himself a glass of water. As he took a sip, his eyes drifted to the display cabinet in the living

room.

Inside was an old pair of basketball shoes, the only item on display in his apartment.

Tears streamed down his face, dropping into the glass. For a moment, he couldn't tell whether he was drinking water or if the glass was drinking his tears.

William had a violent temper, and

David often bore the brunt of his rage. This time, Chester's unexpected victory not only earned Louis a harsh scolding but also dragged David into trouble.

David sighed as he answered the phone, "Hello?"

"David."

"What happened? You should know Mr. Prescott's temper by now. He is surely furious to lose billions of dollars to Chester. If this continues, Chester might pull off something even bigger. en FindNovel

"Chester..."

"What about him?"

On the other end of the call, Louis' voice cracked. He punched the glass of the display cabinet, shattering it, and blood trickled from his hand.

""Louis, what's wrong? Talk to me."

"Chester..." Louis choked up, unable to contain his tears.

"Hello, Louis?"

"Chester assaulted Angelina..." he finally sobbed. "He threatened her, so she couldn't fight back. She must've felt desperate. This is all my fault... What kind of man am I?" This information took David aback.

"David, I'm going to murder him and surrender myself!"

"Don't! Louis, calm down!"

"I must kill him!"

"Louis, can you stop crying for a second?"
