Chapter 17
Robert could only smile bitterly and take a taxi to Elephant Bar.
At the same time, Marilyn parked the car outside Elephant Bar. At the door of the bar, a beautiful woman with yellow hair and an avant–garde dress immediately waved at Marilyn. “Marilyn, Marilyn!”
When Marilyn saw that woman, a rare smile appeared on her face. “Linda, you are so frantic.”
“Oh, how can I not be frantic? How many times have you declined my invitations to drink? You’ve rejected me by using your school as an excuse. Let’s go. There must be many handsome guys in the bar tonight.” Linda strode up, took Marilyn’s arm, and walked into Elephant Bar. She chattered all the way and occasionally laughed loudly, looking extremely happy.
Half an hour later, Robert arrived downstairs at the bar. He had never been to the bar before. Yet, in a short time, he visited. the bar twice. He was not as awkward as before.
Robert walked to the door. After reporting the information, someone led Robert into the bar.
Dynamic music sounded, and people shook their bodies with the music.
The waiter guided Robert to Naomi.
The seat where Naomi sat was slightly offset from the center.
Naomi looked particularly attractive, wearing a short skirt that perfectly showcased her long and beautiful legs. She paired, it with a simple black tank top that accentuated her toned stomach and abdominal muscles. Her confident demeanor also captured people’s attention, making it difficult to look away.
Naomi looked both sexy and spirited with her short hair. There was a touch of masculinity in her style. She wore light makeup that highlighted her delicate facial features, giving her a playful yet charming vibe.
When Robert saw Naomi, he truly felt a sense of pleasant surprise.
There were several men and women sitting in Naomi’s booth.
“Hey, you’re here!” Naomi exclaimed with joy as soon as she saw Robert, her face lighting up with a smile. She rushed. towards him and took hold of his arm. displaying a close and intimate connection between them.
Robert noticed that there were two men looking at him unkindly.
“Naomi, you’re good! He’s rather good–looking.”
“When did you start dating someone so secretly?”
Two sexily dressed beauties kept looking at Robert. Although they said that he was rather good–looking, they still looked at Robert with some disdain.
After all, the clothes on Robert were too cheap.
“This is my friend, Robert.” Naomi held Robert’s arm with a playful face and introduced Robert to the people sitting at the table.
Robert took note of his surroundings. Seated at the table were three men and three women, all paired up except for Naomi and a man who seemed to be looking at him with discontent.
He knew exactly what was going on that night. Now that Naomi called him over, he was naturally targeted.
Thinking of the waiter’s attitude toward Naomi earlier on, Robert guessed that Naomi did not tell those people that Elephant Bar was owned by her family, so he pretended not to know.
“Dude, you’re late. Have a few drinks to make up for it.” The man who disliked Robert spoke. He looked like he was about 25 or 26 years old and was sitting in the center of the booth. Obviously, he was the one paying for all the drinks.
Robert also acted generously, directly picking up three glasses of wine and drinking.
“Come on man. I’ll play with you.” The other two men immediately got up and wanted to drink with Robert. Obviously, they wanted to get Robert drunk so that the man sitting in the center could have a chance with Naomi.
