Let Me Go, My Ex-husband

Chapter 9

Lindsay seemed to guess why Aunt Nina was like that, she only smiled and did not explain.

She and Hugo were nothing more than a deal, and she had no right to interfere in his private life.

In his absence, Lindsay also felt a little more at home.

Lindsay entered in the room, only to see the entire bedroom furnishings, the decoration style was unique, with the black and white pattern, which was simple and sharp, luxury but not vulgar, elegant and with unique taste.

"This is the young master's room. "Aunt Nina smiled, since they were married, they were husband and wife, so naturally they had to sleep together.

Lindsay opened her mouth, but found no words to say, and could only nod obligingly.

It was hard to sleep the first night in an unfamiliar place, so she leaned over the bed and browsed job-hunting websites with her phone, she wanted to find a job to settle down, to take care of her mother and to give the baby in her belly a future.

Oh?

Lindsay was surprised to see a job opening for a translator. It was not surprising to see an opening position for translator, what was surprising though, it was the A Country language.

A Country was where Gavin sent her, it was a third world country, situated in the tropics, and not many people had learned the language of that country. The languages that circulated in the world were the languages of the more developed and powerful countries.

The pay and benefits were all good.

So she left personal information.

Then she put the phone down and lay down to sleep.

Moonlight poured in front of the window like slippery silk, soft and gentle in the dead of night.

The woman in the bed unconsciously drifted off to sleep as a beam of white light poured into the courtyard from outside and a Maybach drove in from outside and stopped.

The car door opened and a magnificent figure stepped out of the car, he stepped into the house, and his steps were not as steady as usual, there was a bit of fidgeting.

He tugged at his collar, and his mouth was a little dry. He entered the room, and poured a glass of water, his hard throat knot rolled up and down one after another, his dark pupils clouded with a scarlet drunkenness, and after drinking up the water, which relieved a good deal of the burning in his throat. He drank a good deal of white wine for social occasions, and he drank a few more glasses of red wine at Judith's birthday party.

He, who was a good drinker, also appeared drunk.

He took off his coat and dropped it on the couch, going straight into the room without going to the bathroom.

The room was unlit and the light was dim, but he was familiar with the position of the bed.

He lay straight down.

In a deep sleep, Lindsay felt movement, but quickly fell back to peace as she curled up and went back to sleep. Early morning.

Wisps of light, like beams of luminous golden threads, illuminated the room.

On the bed, the woman curled up in the crook of the man's arm, sleeping peacefully.

Like a couple of sweet lovers.

The man's eyelashes fluttered slightly and he opened his eyes slowly. Being hungover all night, all he felt was a heavy mind and the need take a shower to clear his head. He had just raised his arm to get up when he found it pinned down by something.

When he turned his head sideways, he saw a woman nestled in his arms.

The girl's dark hair was like a waterfall, silky and smooth and scattered over his arm, her cheeks were white, her eyelashes curled like butterfly wings, her pink lips@lightly parted in an even breathing sound.

His gaze slowly moved down to the slender neck, the delicate collarbone and the heaving chest. She was on her side, and through the neckline of her nightgown, he was able to vaguely peer into her hidden allure.

Her breath rose and fell, and there was actually something seductive about her.

The knot in his throat rolled up and down involuntarily, and the impulse that he had never felt even to Judith was now reacting to this woman whom he had only seen twice.
