Chapter 467

Millie took a couple of steps forward and looked down. She soon spotted Joanna struggling in the sea.

“Help me!” Joanna’s arms flailed while her gaze locked on the cruise ship, fighting desperately to stay afloat.

A flicker of shock crossed Winston’s face, and he rushed to the railing. To his disbelief, Joanna had indeed been pushed overboard.

Beside him, Hannah laughed gleefully. Her mission had been accomplished.

Winston frowned and immediately removed his suit jacket before jumping into the sea.

Millie watched him dove in without hesitation. Her hands tightened around the railing as she recalled how she had once done the same to save him.

As Winston swam toward Joanna, Millie was so engrossed that she didn’t notice the danger closing in on her.

Hannah, standing next to Millie, slowly advanced toward her. At that point, Winston was getting closer to Joanna.

Suddenly, a cold voice rang out. “Millie, it’s all a lie. The one who truly

deserves to die is you.”

Mille’s head snapped around. But before she could react, Hannah grabbed her shoulders and shoved her forcefully.

The railing was low, and it barely reached her waist. A slight push was enough to send her falling. Millie reached out to grab hold, but she was already in mid–air.

In the next instant, another scream echoed across the deck.

“Quick! Someone get the rescue team!” The crowd’s frantic voices filled the air.

Winston saw a familiar figure plummet into the water when he reached for Joanna. With a loud splash, water shot up into the air.

He glanced back at the railing, only to find Millie missing. A group of people leaned over and shouted, “Ms. Caldwell!

Ms. Caldwell? Millie? Winston’s eyes immediately darted in the opposite

direction.

On the other side, Millie gasped for air. The seawater engulfed her, suffocating her. Images of her sinking into the depths flashed across her mind, and she felt herself being dragged downward.

The waves crashed against her face and threw her off balance.

Winston frowned as he quickly swam toward Millie. Behind him, Joanna’s voice sounded. “Win!”

Millie raised a hand, pinched her nose with the other, and tried to breathe through her mouth.

“Help…” she gasped. She forced herself to stay calm, but the ship was drifting farther away with each passing second.

“Help!” Millie cried out repeatedly.

“Win! Win, save me!” Joanna’s voice echoed.

Winston looked back and forth between the two women, torn with indecision once again. Joanna was right there, and he could easily save her. But what about Millie?

Millie caught sight of Winston from the corner of her eye. However, she saw him moving closer to Joanna.

She knew better than to rely on him, yet what choice did she have? She had to survive. The thought of her parents and grandparents grieving over her death was too much to bear.

Rachel had repeatedly warned Millie to be careful, and Marvin even suggested he follow her in a small boat. And now, an accident happened.

“Win, please, save me…” Joanna’s cries were filled with despair. “I… I can’t hold on.”

She was indeed running out of strength. Her body was beginning to sink.

Winston didn’t have time to think. He immediately swam toward Joanna and pulled her up.

She gasped for air as she clung to him, sobbing uncontrollably. “Win… Win, I’m so scared.”

Amid her own struggle, Millie caught a glimpse of Winston holding Joanna close.
