Chapter king 19
He keeps showing up!
“HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET MY NUMBER?” I texted back.
“OH DARLENE, STOP ACTING ALL SURPRISED, YOU KNOW I ALWAYS HAVE MY WAYS, JUST LIKE I FOUND YOU,” Conri responded.
I switched off my phone, I didn’t want to receive any more messages from him, I didn’t want to have anything to do with him this time, if not for Cullian, Conri would have been responsible for I and my pups death, there was no way I would be letting Conri back into my life, not now, not ever!
It was Morning, I could barely sleep through the night, Cullian had not yet returned, he wouldn’t be returning until noon, I hope.
I was heading to my kids room, I didn’t want them to be late for school,
when I heard a knock on my door.
“Who is it?” I asked but I got no response. I was about heading back upstairs when I heard the knock again.
“Who are you?” I still got no response, I ran over to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and returned back to the door.
I waited to hear another knock, so that I could attack, and I did, there was another knock. I slowly opened it, grabbing my knife tightly.
“Good Day ma’am,” my kids‘ help greeted. I watched her eyes leave mine, then rested on the knife that I had pointed at her. There was at terrified look on her face. Gosh! I felt so ridiculous.
“Why weren’t you replying?” I asked.
“Ma?” I watched her take out her ear pods. That alone was an answer to my question.
“Never mind, come in,” I made a way for her to come in.
“Ma’am,” she called, I turned to her.

“What happened to your gate guards, the gate isn’t secured and your know it’s risky to leave the gate open without no guards,” she mumbled.
“I’ll have them replaced this morning, you can go wake the kids, I made breakfast already, and I forgot, you’re late,” I folded my arms.
“I’m sorry Ma’am, I was stuck in traffic,” she explained.
“Alright be quick, they shouldn’t be late,”
“Alright Madam,” she quickly ran upstairs.

It was past twelve, I couldn’t sit at home being idle, nothing to do, my husband wasn’t back yet and I was bored as fuck
I decided to drive to my restaurant.I needed to get myself busy.
“Tamara,” I called out.
“Yes Madam,” my kids‘ help responded.
“I’m heading out to my restaurant, when my children return from school, make sure you prepare something nice for them to eat, I’ll be back. soon,” I informed, before leaving for my white Ferrari that was parked outside.
I drove over to my five star restaurant, I had my manager bring me the documents and performance list, I wasn’t able to go through all of them on Saturday.
I was busy going through the list when I heard a knock on my door.
“Come in,” I yelled. A tall and muscular Gamma made his way into my office.
It was one of my security men.
“Ma’am you asked for me,” he bowed his head a little.
“Yes, I heard you have strong and able men that can guard my house?” I asked.

“Yes ma’am, I do,” he responded.

“Well I need them to go to this address,” I handed over a piece of paper to him, which was my home address.
“I’ll see them when I return home, and they must all be armed,” I wanted to make myself clear of how much security I needed. I didn’t want what had happened last time to repeat itself again.
“I’ll inform them all,” he assured.
“Oh, wait! How many are they?” I asked.
“Twenty, but I wouldn’t ask them all to go,” he said.
“That’s better, I don’t want my house filled with guards,” I said jokingly and we both giggled.
“Alright head back to work then,” I said and I watched him make his way
out of the office.
I focused back on my work, and in a few minutes I got distracted by a telephone call.
“Yes Mary,” I spoke to my receptionist.
“Madam, one of our biggest clients asked to see you in your office,” she said.
“Why? Is there a problem ? doesn’t he like our food?” I asked.
“No he just wants to see you, he said it’s important.”
“Alright, let him in,”
“Sure,” Mary responded.
Within a few minutes, there was a knock on the door.
“Come in please,” I said, and I watched the door slowly open. A familiar figure walked into my office with a bouquet of roses and gift boxes.
“Hello Darlene, it’s nice to see you again,”
