Book 6: Chapter 64:1: Chen Heng Already Started a Killing Spree! Part 1
Okay, you need to be careful on your own. If you happen to encounter an ambush or unforeseen circumstances, we wont be able to support you; were too far away. If you make a mistake, it might be game over.
Dont worry. Im heading to the research facility now. Im outside the circle, and the circle will be closing in soon, so I need to change my location. Lets meet up in the prison after I get there, and well move toward the center of the circle together.
After ending the communication, Chen Heng climbed out of the window and searched for the vehicle hidden by the two ambushers.
Chen Heng drove to the outskirts of M City. However, he then stopped the vehicle and decided to proceed on foot. He moved from house to house, trying not to expose himself in the open, determined not to be ambushed again. This time, he didnt have a level 3 helmet because it had already been shattered.
If he got headshot by a Kar98k or an M24 while wearing a level 2 helmet, he would be done for.
Chen Heng found a higher vantage point extending below M City and set up his 8x scope on the M24 to look for isolated targets. He had a feeling that the two teams that parachuted into M City hadnt been eliminated yet.
After patiently waiting for a few minutes and hearing no gunshots or vehicle sounds, Chen Heng was about to descend when gunfire suddenly rang out, startling him.
It started with a single shot, followed by two more from different directions. Chen Heng checked the gunshot markers on the map; at least three people were in a firefight. Based on their positions, it seemed like two were ganging up on one.
The team of two was to the north of Chen Heng, and the lone individual was to the northeast. How can this do? How can they gang up on one person like this? Chen Heng decided to intervene.
Hence, Chen Heng adjusted his scope toward the northeast and carefully scanned for targets based on the locations of the gunshots. Soon, he pinpointed the targets position, but the target was hiding behind a building, making it impossible to see the target.
He climbed out of a second-story window, jumped onto the roof, and aimed northward, searching for the two-person team.
But before he could find the target, one of the shooters suddenly stopped. It seemed that someone had been downed. Then, the second shooter in the two-person team also ceased. At this point, the two-person team had been wiped out by the lone individual.
In the end, Chen Heng just confirmed the positions of the two eliminated individuals. He then jumped directly from the rooftop and, after taking some fall damage, sprinted toward the crates of the fallen players.
Chen Heng didnt intend to loot before the lone individual arrived; he planned to ambush that lone expert who took down the two experts alone.
He hid behind a low wall with a small gap that allowed him to see the two boxes glowing green with loot.
He gripped his sniper rifle, ready to make a snap shot as soon as the lone player emerged.
The player who had just killed the two-person team lived up to Chen Hengs expectations. After waiting about ten seconds, the player made their way through various obstacles and arrived in front of the two crates.
Chen Heng felt surprised when he saw that expert, for the player turned out to be Lancelot, the red sides Berserker.
Chen Heng was about to aim and shoot when Lancelot seemed to sense something and stepped back, retreating into the shadows of a building.
He detected me? Thats impossible. Chen Heng was puzzled.
If this were a genuine Holy Grail War, Lancelots sensing Chen Heng about to snipe him due to some kind of intuition wouldnt be surprising. Many experts often had a special sense for danger. But this was just a game.
In this game, apart from the knowledge he possessed, everything else was equivalent to the abilities of an ordinary person, including the ability to predict danger.
Otherwise, Chen Heng wouldnt have been nearly killed by a single shot earlier. Chen Hengs ability to foresee danger was definitely superior to Lancelots.
However, Chen Heng soon realized he had overthought it. Lancelot hadnt given up looting the crates; he threw a smoke grenade toward them and rushed over as the smoke began to thicken.
Upon seeing this, Chen Heng breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that Lancelot didnt possess any extraordinary predictive abilities or danger sense, just a cautious habit developed from past experiences.
Since this event was a Holy Grail Carnival, the Mad Enhancement of Lancelots Berserker class had been significantly weakened by the Holy Grail, making him less bloodthirsty than usual. Otherwise, he could not participate in the Holy Grail Carnival properly. As a result, even though Lancelot still appeared in his all-black armor, he no longer exuded the same violence as before.
Chen Heng didnt rush to fire his weapon. The smoke obscured his vision, making it impossible for him to guarantee a precise shot. He waited patiently. contemporary romance
The smoke from the grenade didnt linger for long, and Lancelot couldnt stay hidden in it indefinitely. Once he emerged, Chen Heng would take a lethal shot.
After about five or six seconds, when the smoke was still thick, a figure dashed out of it, making for a large warehouse over ten meters away from Lancelot.
Chen Heng, who had been prepared for a while, saw this and took a shot at Lancelots neck. Uncertain if his shot was lethal, Chen Heng didnt take the time to reload his sniper rifle. Instead, he quickly switched to the other M24 and took aim.
After being shot, Lancelot didnt die or even collapse. He rolled on the ground and continued running toward the large warehouse. Just as Lancelot was about to enter it
Bang! Chen Heng had already switched weapons and instantly aimed with the scope. He fired and hit Lancelot in the foot.
Lancelot turned into a lifeless body, essentially becoming a wooden crate.
Chen Heng was momentarily stunned. He hadnt expected Lancelot to go down so easily. Then he thought about the two members of the red side who had already perished. If Chen Hengs guess was correct, Lancelot had been part of a three-person team and was the sole survivor of that team.
